Saint stated schedule conflicts but I think that's bullshit considering Mean's schedule for next year is way, way more than Saint. There's probably some tea, but not gonna speculate anything. Just good luck to all of them. Still gonna watch LBC2 cause Plan is my child lol...IDK if I will watch Why R U because the story doesn't look like my type of drama.

Novel fans can find lots of easter eggs the production team are pulling from original BL novel. Like Wei Wuxian taking off his belt, the bruises on their lips, or the drawing of the two guys kissing...etc. If you know the novel, you would know what scenes these easter eggs pertains too, so I still think the production team is trying to whisper that they are lovers despite the censorship in China :)

In my opinion, The Untamed has like an action anime vibe where it's more character-driven...so if you are not into that kind of animesqe stuff, you might not like it. Also, I feel that a lot of people who are looking for romance usually dropped Untamed because it isn't super heavy on romance but rather on the unfolding of how the protagonist went from being on the good side to becoming the "grandmaster of demonic cultivation".

I totally get you...even when I have the visuals from a drama, I can still get confused.. for example when I watched "Men with Sword" drama a while back, they introduced all the characters and the five countries so fast, I was so lost with the over excessive dialogues. All the country names are so similar too that by the time I remember all the country names and characters, the majority of characters are already dead lol. I had to watch it a couple of times to understand everything.

I think SQX's arc is in the beginning of the third book though... the fourth book is already nearing final arc...

I advise to watch til episode 15...if this doesn't get you to want to see the rest, probably not your cup of tea.

Qi Rong is a bit of a comic relief character to me and he is described to look very similar to XL so I had always thought whoever played Xie Lian can just be double casted lol.

Not gonna spoiled anything but SQX's arc is sooo good. I stayed up reading that arc although it's a little scary in my opinion.

HOB backstory kinda deals with politics so maybe that's why it's more complex? It's easier for me to watch Xianxia drama cause usually no politics is involved, but when I watch "war" dramas, I sometimes gets confused by what is going on because there is so much scheming, marketing, and country systems involved.

I feel that the whole entire tragedy of Xie Lian's country is because classism exist. It's also why XL suffers so much later when he loses his royalty.

Same here. I liked HOB best mostly because I think the development and pacing is more "perfected" —probably because it is MTXT latest novel and she gets better as she writes. MDZS is great but to me, it's a little too short which makes the pacing/development just a tad too fast. MTXT keeps improving which makes it exciting for her new story (really anticipating it).

Also, I really like the first chapter of HOB, it gets you right into the story. Xie Lian is such a frustrating protagonist because there is just so much faith in humanity in him despite what he goes through. At some point I was rooting for him to just be spiteful but nope, he just can't change who he is and that almost made me cry.

Not gonna lie though, I cried for little Hua Cheng many times.

Episode 43 covers a bit of what happens to Lan Zhan after Wei Wuxian died, but it's inserted as flashbacks.

I love SQX but not sure who I see as him in the drama adaptation. His arc is my favorite arc in the entire novel.

I keep seeing Wang Hao Xuan (Xue Yang) as He Xuan though... probably because he played Xue Yang lol :)

Haha I love the explicit stuff in the novel but at the end, I was like "ok, why are we just rolling onto the grass instead of heading home for private time..." lol

They most they can do is include Kengkla/No entire story with Tincan since they have their own novel although their story isn't that long either... Tumtar pretty much ended in season 1 already :)

Hopefully they will add in more development to Tincan story since the author P'Mame is returning as scriptwriter.

No official translated novel yet. Some fans translation exist but it's not the full story. Seems they are only translating their favorite part from the novel.

In novel, he rejects Tin but regrets it after Tin stops talking to him and starts crying after he loses a soccer game (shown in s2 trailer). Tin comes back for him and Can asks for sex to confirm his feelings and they starts dating right after. Not much happens after this except Tin's family drama but that also gets resolved fairly quick.

And then there is also a time skip to when they are already working...also there isn't much happening either except Tin being possessive and being "insecure."

I still don't understand how they are going to do an entire drama with Tincan as the lead when their story is so short. *Read novel spoilers below*

Perth already said at the fan meet that he will not have a new couple in season 2—well, to be exact, he said "is it ok if I do not look for a new couple in season 2?" which can be interpreted that Saint is not reprising his role and the production team had decided to just focus on Tincan rather than casting a new Pete for the second season which is probably a better plan because just imagine the hate/backlash that would probably come from Perthsaint fans.

I feel like people have been spreading misinformation and rumors since back then about the whole LBC fandom issue. Please do not forget that Mean is also not from the same company as the other boys and he will be reprising his role in second season as the main role. Mean has never had issue with Perth/Plan's managers nor management company so it makes no sense that fans speculated back then that the "managers hated Saint because they wanted all the attention only on the boys from their company."

Also, the manager issue back then was not the reason why P'new did not want to continue S2... it was the fans drama that tired him out. Saint's manager made a post accusing Perth's manager of blocking Saint from activities but that same manager was actually "fired" for doing "illegal activities" by Saint himself. Saint have had a new manager for a long time now.

Saint is not reprising his role for whatever reason that is but it's not because of Perth's managers because they do not have that kind of power to eliminate him. So far, P'new, the author (P'Mame), and the majority of season 1 casts are returning for season 2 project but no one has mentioned Saint at all. Perth only mentioned he will not have a couple for season 2 at the Mean and Plan couple fan meeting.

I do love the novel for so many different aspects but I really appreciate the romantic development Untamed added for LZ and WY because in novel, it felt a little abrupt at times.

The concept of black and white (good and evil) is way better in novel though. Well, I know China censors that sort of thing and doesn't allow the protagonist to have grey morals which sucks so everything had to be changed and all be blamed on Jin Guangyao but I love that aspect of the novel so much more.

I just want to know if the ending would be extended or different in any way but guess we won't know until the last airing date in Feb 2020.
