50 episodes way more than I can handle actually but I can continue watch it till it end because of the 2 leads,…
I felt 50 episodes was too much when I first started watching but when I finished the Untamed, I honestly felt they need another 10 episodes so the latter arcs did not feel so rushed. 60 episodes would have help the pacing more :)
For people new to Chinese dramas, or dramas with lots of episodes in general, may I kindly suggest a "rule" I…
Just to add, I have been watching Chinese drama since young and it took like 20 episodes for me to get hooked by the Untamed because there was just a lot of information thrown at you at a very quick pace and I think that overwhelms some people.
But... once you get into it and watched to the end, you'll come back to those beginning episodes and find them endearing because those were the only happy times in the story. Those episodes were absolutely necessary for the build up of the story.
Agree on this so much :) I wanna see YB as HC and XZ as XL as well...mostly because YB behaves like HC in real…
I said this everyday but I can see no other except YB as HC... he has the same demeanor as YB and is very, very biased only toward XL. They would totally rock the chemistry the way it was portrayed in novel which is like my biggest concern for the TGCF drama adaptation.
I seen a lot of dramas in the past 20 years or so of my life. While there are some that comes and goes, there…
Honestly I feel like the last Chinese fantasy costume drama I've watched is Chinese Paladin back in 2005 and I didn't even enjoy it as much as I did with the Untamed.
I was reading posts of some fans talking about budget/special effects and stuff like that and I was in Complete,…
I actually don't know what type of CGI people expect from dramas/films..etc. Personally, I like the CGI in Untamed because it's not too much (it's subtle enough to just make up for things the team has no control over e.g. nature). Probably because I am a designer so I really hate the obvious computer generated CGI that are done in some xianxia shows (e.g. like fake trees, fake water...etc).
lol Yeah sure we only watch because of the good looks and BL subtext... No seriously, I'm past puberty, thanks…
Funny fact : everyone on youtube does not equal "everyone" and second fact: you claiming to be in the bl genre for 20 years doesn't make you a bl wizard either.
Sound like you are feeling bitter that the Untamed rated better than your "fave." It aint that deep... get over it and focused on what you like instead.
And yes, I am only responding to you to help increase post # on the discussion. We are getting past 7,500 posts.
Oh there will be no AePete ? I'm so sad. I liked that there was a couple without much drama and with so much love…
Aepete is actually the dramatic couple if they had continue and Tincan is actually the sweet, less dramatic couple.
*SPOILER* (read only if curious)
In book, so many ridiculous drama happen later, like attempted rape on Pete, Ae being arrested, Pete being forced to leave in order to save Ae ...etc. In my opinion, it's kinda unnecessary.
People need to realize Saint is very busy right now. *just* drama wise, he has 2 coming out in 2020, and then…
Just saying but Saint is mostly done with Why R U series ... and one more drama will not take him the entire 1 or 2 years to film but the team already decided to eliminate the Aepete parts. Right now, they are not even starting LBC yet, P'Gong who is a part of the project is still confirming sponsors. If he doesn't want to reprise his role, fans should just support him.
*SPOILER* Like there are more incidents between Ae and Pete that leads him to leaving ... for example, the drama with Dayli who had just been introduced in S1, Pete's ex coming back, Ae being arrested...etc so like I assumed they are cutting all those parts out.
He’s not going to be in it. There’s a couple of reasons why. One being what happened in during season one…
Most of the fan drama during LBC S1 came from the fans speculations (= rumors). Also Saint's manager who claimed Perth's and the boys agency purposely blocked Saint from work was fired by Saint himself for "illegal activity" so don't take words from rumors seriously.
Second, none of the boys nor the production team mention Saint. Even if Saint is busy, the production team could've wait (Plus Mean is way more busy than Saint and he is coming back as lead) but seeing that they are resuming the project without him, I think he is not returning at all. Also, the second book still has a lot of Aepete (and Tincan never becomes main in the books—their story is not long enough to stretch for another season in my opinion).
I honestly would be fine with switching out Saint for a new actor, but know the PS fans would be outraged which is probably why they decided to just have Perth go solo.
Did someone understand the ending, we hear a car crash when shin and the other One were crossing the road.Did…
In novel, there is a car crash at the end and Shin narrates that he can finally be free. This can be interpreted both ways: 1) he is now free from his tormentor who had died or 2) he is free now that he is dead. Anyways, I believe one of them died.
I really want them in Tian Guan Ci Fu (the other story of the Untamed's author)... but I don't know if it will…
I can only trust Yibo and Xiao Zhan at this point to do TGCF justice... worried that whoever they cast will not have the right chemistry or worse any chemistry at all ^_^
I really want them in Tian Guan Ci Fu (the other story of the Untamed's author)... but I don't know if it will…
Their chemistry is also perfect as Hua Cheng and Xie Lian... the dynamics is there. I love how devoted HC is to XL...like XL is the only exception (and is that not Yibo? haha)
As TinCan is the main focus, he won’t be here a lot. But as he and Can are friends who attend the same university,…
I think they are just gonna let Aepete end in season 1 and not include the the whole drama with Pete being attacked and Ae getting arrested and Pete making sacrifices to go to Germany and use a normal excuse like Pete going to study instead while Ae waits for his return...and Ae will pretty much appear in season 2 just having flashbacks of s1 while he waits.
Because it would be pointless. Pete was never actually completely significant the novel. In the novel he was studying…
My opinion but I think either Saint or his agency does not want him associated with this project anymore. It's got nothing to do with his schedule or upcoming projects. Saint is the main lead with Perth...if he wished to come back, there is no reason for the production to not wait for his return (take my bromance 2 for example, the project is on delay right now waiting for Fluke to finish UWMA before they resume filming). Pete is still very significant in the 2nd book despite moving to Germany—the fact that they are completely excluding him in the cast means there is an issue with his agency or himself.
I read that novel so Tin and Can was perfect .. when i only watch this i love AePete but after when i start read…
It's the complete opposite for me... couldn't get into Saint's acting...it's so awkward to watch and although I like that their story is a lot of fluff, it's just a cycle of them being cute and Ae being insecure with little development so kinda glad they will omit the second half of Aepete from novel out in 2nd season cause it makes no sense to me at all.
Dropped the show while watching ep 1, I just can't handle Pete's acting .. idk it's reall awkward to watch.Should…
Saint's acting as Pete is very awkward for me too. I cringe sometimes but I think Perth really pull through as Ae and made their pairing worked somehow... but still, Pete is such a flat character with little to no development...it gets tough to watch sometimes. I still enjoyed LBC nonetheless (mostly for Ae and Tincan.)
But... once you get into it and watched to the end, you'll come back to those beginning episodes and find them endearing because those were the only happy times in the story. Those episodes were absolutely necessary for the build up of the story.
