I know it is about legal matters ultimately with TK, but it is so ridiculous with granny telling shithead to give up on Haneul while the SINGULAR CUSTODIAN PARENT sits there, staring dumbly into the distance saying NOTHING. He has no right to tell her how and where and with whom to raise her child anyway, it is all up to her to decide, having the full custody. If his paternity is ever proven, he would get very limited visitation rights to begin with, if at all, given his history of violence, threats, manipulation, stalking etc Then again, this show does not operate on the same plane of logic as we do.
But yeah atp, they could put a cardboard stand in into YD's place, no one would notice a difference.
So glad itโs ending Can someone fill me in whatโs happening? I gave up 10 episodes ago
Well you missed not a single thing because nothing has happened since in "The Kim Junha Has Come." Oh I guess the leads registered their marriage before they were piled and suffocated in misery again, so there is that.
Watching the raw episode is again an exercise in frustration because of the 38 minutes i have seen thus far, 32 of it was the kim junha show and pity party. TK/YD basically do not exists for the majority of it
Eventhough Jerk JH cries his heart out, I don't even feel an ounce of sympathy towards him. He is an idiot and…
Yeah fuck him i am so tired of this asshole. I also skip any and every scene of the worst hamfisted "redemption arc" i ever had the misfortune to witness. Alas Jangho having to suffer for his hellspawn to have her magic come to jesus moment is the only regrettable thing about it.
i love tho how big bro CM more and more becomes a viewers' represent, since he is so so so so done with all the strawberry nonsense and shithead in particular. "Just stop making excuses for JH and leave" he says to nun in the most annoyed way, hahahaha. I love him now.
Married roommates raising a baby together, indeed ๐
Nine? Daaaaaaamn. So you are not watching all and they released even more? Holy crap. Yeah that is the reason why i mostly watch a c-drama here and there where i know it is worth my time tbh.
Married roommates raising a baby together, indeed ๐
Looks nice but i cannot keep up with nor keep apart any/most airing cdrama. it feels like they release them in the thousands each week, like shovelware xD
The nun keeps annoying me with being an ultra-flat goody two shoes without any nuance. "Please don't hate JH for this, granny. He did not know." she says in tears. Yeah no. Please hate this asshole. Hate him a lot. It is insufferable how this bastard always gets away without any consequence faced, and bullies, manipulates, harasses and cheats his way thru everything to reach his goals and is rewarded for doing so, just bc he is the untouchable beloved creator's/writer's pet ๐คฎ ๐คฎ
"I will make you regret being born..." Patrick is a savage but sadly TK does not let him murder the shithead. Ngl i would have preferred him dismantling the bastard bit by bit with his money and influence instead this too late and hyperdramatic annoying kidnapping nonsense happening.
From what i gathered, this episode is more light on the misery bullshit, because we finally arrive there where we easily could have been 5 episode with a capable writer and less circular nonsense. Shithead is outed as a liar by sister nun, TK/YD do not have to flee to Canada (what a surprise no one ever expected that except EVERYONE watching) and the bastard is kinda forced to give up on Haneul (HIS PATERNITY IS STILL UNPROVEN ANYWAY) So we have a grand writer's pet pity party with him at home continuing to obsess over the child and wangsting before announcing he is leaving korea, hence we are going to see him kidnapping HN tomorrow as this inane dumbass hack of a writer throws in haphazardly everything for shock value and can't have when things are peaceful for more than five straight minutes.
Other than that we finally get do get said full five minutes of calm family scenes and the writer seems to want to appease a very angry viewership with quite a few main cp scenes too, which woooow wonders never cease. But again, we are going to see kidnapping tomorrow as it is strongly implied in the preview. And i bet it ends again with a slap on the wrist for JH bc this asshole has a "i can do whatever i want" permit from the writer as his creator's pet. Honestly though? This storyline should have ended five episodes ago. I am tired. Just kill him off pls.
This fucking writer tho maaaaaaan. Can't stand it seeing any character being happy so he pulls out his misery dick to whip it around with the kidnapping plotline WE SHOULD HAVE HAD MAYBE TEN EPS AGO. Who has hurt the bastard in the past, why is he so allergic to any kind of joy and peace? I am tired of all this gratuitous drama that adds nothing but annoyance.
i don't watch it either, just having an eye on the livetweets and it seems we already cleared up that shithead is adopted with nun fessing up. Which wow, i thought they would take the full hour of runtime to do so, once more. So there is that *sarcastic slow clap*
Otherwise it is the usual melodramatic crap where joy is dead.
How far are you into Homemade Love Story? It has been on my watchlist FOREVER because of Lee Jang Woo (who I enjoyed…
Oh btw the main couple in Homemade Love Story always sits together like this (when they are alone)... you know like a couple, close together. A far cry of what we always see in TRHC. (and they know each other for a few weeks at most too)
How far are you into Homemade Love Story? It has been on my watchlist FOREVER because of Lee Jang Woo (who I enjoyed…
Yeah, it really was shitty doing that with implying we get a better story in the preview than what actually then happened with this crappy timejump. It could have been so good with TK leaving his fam behind to work in the city where he thinks YD hides and them meeting by chance as she comes into the community hospital and he helps delivering Haneul. Goooooddddd the sheer POTENTIAL of that story, but nooooooope could not have that. Ugh. I also started it due to the contract/fake to real lover trope, but alas it was played completely straight and super serious and melodramatic instead to have fun with that concept and the leads working together as they tumble from a situation to the next and bullshitting their way out of it (as we have seen in the beginning but then never again) Hence another reason why the lead couple's dynamic floundered, there was no fun to be had between them with all the drama around and sticking to them, and very little banter or cheekiness in general post YD moving into the annex, with next to none after the timejump as misery swallowed them whole.
Homemade Love Story is a good, very watchable fam drama, bc the main couple works so well (playful, natural and easy with small touches etc and overall soft and cute) and Lee Jang Woo is the softest big boi (this man is build like a brickhouse, giving Jin Ki Joo the best bear hugs tbh which is the cutest <3) in there. He is such a good bf/later on husband for FL, a true green flag. The birth secret trope is annoying but part of the main plot around FL and not dragged out too much thankfully. I mostly skip thru these scenes tho since they become quite melo at times. Otherwise the drama is quite light and fun and i love the bond between the adopted siblings and the other boarding house residents. Adoption is painted in a positive light here, imagine that TRHC writer, lmao The equal balance between the characters is also there, unlike in TRHC where too many of them are sidelined. There are also "villains" but they are developed and used better than in TRHC, except for maybe the resident SFL pissbaby clinging to ML who only sees her like a sister. But she just throws temper tantrums like a child, so it does not matter lol. Oh also the same gong villa is used and the lynx company makes another appearance (in sponsoring the drama)
And don't worry it is not 100 eps. It is actually 50 on viki and netflix. The 100 eps are half hour ones, but both OTT's put them together in 50 one hour eps each ๐๐ And since i watch on 1,5- 2,0x speed except for the lead couple scenes, it is really easy to watch hehe (at eps 22 atm)
2 more weeks for us to moan or praise TRHC! Looking forward to it, at the same time also quite sad we are saying…
i am so READY for my suffering to end, ngl. Hyoshim cannot start airing soon enough as it looks waaaaaaay less like a backward ass story hating its female chars with misery p*rn for the leads at every turn, lol.
And it makes me lament of the what could have beens if TK/YD would have been given enough room to develop as a couple in the hands of a capable family drama writer, instead of their romance being suffocated with conflicts and misery at every turn. Romance in a story needs time and room to grow like every other story arc, maybe even more. Fact is this dumbass writer really excelled in killing every possible chance of romance between TK/YD more than dead, and this several times even, wow. ๐๐๐ฎ๐จ First we have shithead's return RIGHT AFTER they became a real couple after the car camping in the next eps and they started to feel comfortable with each other. The shithead's return should have been after ep 25, so we could have seen the romance fully blossoming. He missed that point of where relationship development would have naturally happened and trapped them into conflict around JH for the rest of the eps with the 2-ish numbers, effectively halting any romantic dynamic to be had.
Then the next point where their romance started to feel natural again despite all demon' duo's scheming was when YD almost lost the baby. The way they promised to be there for each other, the bracelets, and YD drawing clear lines w JH, so so good. Even the beach date was very natural w their banter etc Now imagine if they had built up on this, showing the months till HN's birth like it was initially planned w the timejump LATER, and them being an established couple at tha point. Instead to destroy all of that build up we had with this idiotic premature one we got, and its general stupid writing decisions (aka YD running away/ghosting where the writer ripped them apart for a YEAR, JUST when they started to feel like a romantic couple again w TK's confession/future plans. To mitigate that, they should have reunited at HN's birth five mo later & show them reconnecting, if we truly needed this crap early timejump. Instead of you know, awkwardly running into each other after a YEAR by chance, which turned YD into an uncaring asshole on top of that.
It was from that point out, after the timejump that the romance was dead in the water between them, bc even right after the main cpโs marriage, it was given no room to breathe as they were immediately mired in conflict and misery again. Hence no matter how hard both lead actors tried it was impossible to resurrect a dynamic that has been killed off by this hack in such an effective way again and again and again, turning every interaction between them forced, stilted and distant. What a waste of two good actors who laugh and joke and are completely comfortable with each other in the bts vids. This all explains why we are now perpetually stuck at the awkward/distant roommates raising a baby together, who still use honorifics with each other phase in the show, tho.
LOL, I try to not think about this show any more after Monday or Tuesday. I've really run out of things to say.…
yeah ngl this shitshow has the tendency to ruin my mondays, as it wears me down so much i need an additional day to recover. Which is, well, not a good sign for any show to be had but oh well. If the end were any further than two weeks/one week away i would have dropped. But now i am holding out for TK and to see the minute of happy end montaage we are most likely getting only. Wanna bet this pretentious little shit is gonna try to sell us the won custody "battle" as happy ending for the lead couple with nothing else? Since he hates joy and nice things and romance and the lead couple in particular. He needs the screentime for shithead and delusion debbie getting their happy ending and redemption, after all. ๐คฎ
Oh that is a good happy place. I also enjoyed Hidden Love as palate cleanser last week. Though personally, King The Land was a tad too slow for me i kept getting bored and have still the last episodes to watch heh but the romance is healthy and well-done i am just not into all that business speech etc Maybe i need to watch it on higher speed like Hidden Love which is quite slow too, heh. I also can recommend "Behind Your Touch" and my newest obsession "Destined With You" where Rowoon cracked me up as a cold lawyer gone veeeery reluctant lovesick puppy reciting the most cheesy love lines to a very annoyed FL thanks to a love potion gone wrong. It is hilarious and great choice if you need something light and wacky, Same for BYT hehe.
