Tbf it has been a long redemption arc that you would actually write and that WORKED, starting from eps 16 till basically now, but the shitty writer simply pressed the factory reset button on the hags back like he did with inok before and taking away her hysteria. I think if there is one thing you can count on the incompetent writer doing in this drama it is character regression. Every single one of them has been hit with it now .....except maybe Patrick but he has been hibernating for 15 yrs before that, so that does not count.

Yikes, patchworking your way thru a story especially a long one is never a good idea and it indeed shows in both shows. Well momzilla got hugged away in one episode here too after 8 eps of hysteria, and does now not return where it actually would be needed to protect her son and go against dictator joseon granny resurfacing. Welp. Three more weeks (with most likely 60 seconds of happy ending.) I can do this, I can do this 😂

If i can ever be arsed i may do an outline what i would have changed as a writer, which is a lot like a loooooot especially structurally bc as you said there are its biggest problems. It is, as i call it, headless chicken writing. Without a clear plan or rhyme and reason, forgetting everything prior established.

The leads despite not being the lovey dovey types are the main draw for me here and only reason i hold out till the end now, particularly ML who is one of the greenest flags in kdramaland, but sadly constantly mistreated and kicked down by the narrative... the writer seems to have a inexplicable hateboner for either the character or AJH (who does his job here wonderfully despite the trashheap script from eps 34 upwards) bc this asshole refuses to let Taekyung be happy for more than five minutes. Same for FL, but it is especially apparent with ML.

YEEEEEES. I laughed so much. Helped me over the bs that was TRHC, so funny. It is on Netflix, 4 eps so far. I love it.

i honestly would advice you to stay away from watching this, the writing has become utter shit. Or if you want to still do it, at least watch it including eps 33 or 34, mentally slap an one year later under it, jump to eps 40 and 41 watch that and then directly skip to the two (upcoming) ending eps, as you will spare yourself a lot of frustration and bullshit this way.

NP. i looked it up in better days when i was trying to figure out how TK/YD could marry if she is strawberry's daughter, which was undoing his adoption aka being removed from the fam register.
