Each time they talk about their families, it goes like this: My brother is causing trouble for the fam. Really my sister too. And you can bet they will tell each other of their respective siblings wedding without checking it is YD and/or TK they are talking about. Sookyum is the adult in their dynamic and she is the nine years old child here.

-Hee's scam is uncovered so she books it after apologizing to uncle and giving him a sobstory of her sick child, meeting YD at the bus station and they become besties and roommates for YD's year of ghosting everyone and needlessly punishing herself from staying away from her family. I would say TK too but she has stopped giving a shit about him the moment the bus left the station, not even leaving him a letter or explanation why. Later on she even tells him she was selfish and did only think about herself, not him. But according to her new bestie she cried a lot at home at night and it was due to missing him. Which is not what we see in her scenes as happy single mother, lmao. But whatever. At least she saw the error of her ways when confronted with ... nah she ran away again and he had to stop her/save her from stalker creep in order to get a confrontation, lmao. Since then and their reunion she has at least stayed adamant regarding him and staying at his side, so there is that. But the writer did a complete character assassination with her turning her into a wimpy crybaby for far too long until she found a modicum of her backbone again.

While everyone is sealclapping creepy stalker as fAtHuuUR because they are all insane vampires focused on muuH blOodLinES everyone is telling how Taekyung is not the/a father. The complete irony is that JH does not give a shit about the kid, he just wants to use it to exert control over YD and win in his shitty little ego game over TK , while TK is proving in every second of taking care of Haneul that he is born to be a father, and very apt/natural in it after some beginning awkwardness. Haneul also adores the hell out of TK, And the feeling is mutual, which is the cutest thing. I melt every time Taekyung calls himself appa or Haneul "my child, my daughter, while i projectile vomit when JH does it. Bc the same words have very different meanings with this creepy fucker." Did i mention that this bastard's first reaction to YD telling him it is a girl was "i had hoped it was a boy" ? Yeeeeah. 💀

I saw some bts scenes on twitter but i cannot find them again nor on youtube for some reason. There were bts from where TK carries YD into the clinic in eps 30, some more clinic scenes of them, and of their kiss in 33 and beach in general, and both had a good time, joking and such. Both leads really looked at ease there, so i am thinking now that it is a direction/writing choice with her character being very skittish with physical contact tbh. JH snidely remarked once that it took him so long to get to second base, which yikes. I feel he has pressured her a lot, so YD is still in full avoidance mode with TK, in a way. Which is unfortunate given it does their dynamic no favor but yeah.

Right? The relief that fell off him at the end of eps 40 was like weighted tons. Hope he and YD get a damn break now from being beaten down. He deserves all the good and nice things now of which i hope their wedding night is one, lol. (maybe already a sibling for HN too?😏)

Huh, i always assumed haneul to be registered along with her mother so i dunno. She cant register TK as father of her unless there is a mysteriously positive dna test telling her otherwise, lol. But since JH has yet to establish paternity or failing to do that rather with a dna test, the place re: haneul's father is left blank in the register. I dunno how things change after their marriage coming next weekend tho, but i think TK can only register in his fam register when he is either bio dad or has adopted her. I dunno if he is able to start his "own" register now having a wife and kid tho. need to ask bing here once more lol

But yeah, given how YD was only like two hours away from Seoul it reeks of plot device that no one was ever able to find her in a year, lol. TK should have given the job to a private detective retracing her steps, or something.

- TK moving out into his own apartment, equipping the nursery, searching for YD, holding the candle for her until BN says nah she does not love you enough my guy, better move on, fve months in. So he does, but not really. Since his resolve to forget her lasts exactly 0,5 eps of coldness upon accidently running into each other in kdrama Seoul having only three streets and two neighborhoods (rich and poor) He sings her a song of his hurt of being left behind and her breaking her promise, justifiably so. They talk it and end up hugging it out, getting back together and TK seamlessly slides into the role of caretaker and parent while his romance with YD remains on rather a platonic roommate buddie temperature level, but it is true love apparently and they fight for it against all odds of which there are many bc everyone treats them like criminals having committed mass murder for the outrageous wish to be a normal ass fam together.
-JH is still an unhinged stalker treating YD and Haneul like objects to recollect into his collection like prized pets, and to wear their skin, probably. No one is ever calling the police on his harassing, blackmailing, threatening, emotionally abusive ass, ever. Don't ask why, i don't know either.
-Cute baby things, because Haneul is the cutest. So are her scenes with Taekyung, total daddy girl, super comfortable with him while she always rings her battle cry whenever that creep JH is near. She hates this trashbag as much as we do, lmao. Meanwhile this cockroach screams unhinged songs of iAm fAtHUuuuuUUUuuuuR, while never having proven to be that with a dna test or established paternity, having no legal grounds to stand on whatsoever. But for some inane reasons everyone is treating him as such since he is assumed father but has no fucking legal rights whatsoever and should not even look into the same direction as Haneul, especially with his history of stalking/emotional abuse and threats.

- Granny becomes the biggest gangster, supporting the leads all the way thru and serving much needed truth tea to her obnoxious family with their new dictator inok. She already loves Haneul while pretending not to, lmao. But since it is bound to be her grand-grandchild thru 🍓 BN who the writers are strongly hinting at, it is no surprise lol. She totally holds a candle for YD too and is frenemy bickering with TK while staying at their place for two nights, hahaha.

HENCE SKIP DIRECTLY TO EPISODE 40 DO NOT GO OVER EPS 34-39 AND COLLECT A BAD TIME and frustrations. Remain watching it at 40 is the best plan you can do, lol. Maybe the ending 10 minutes of 39 too, because it is the cuuteeeest with the baby fam shoot.

The bts clips suggest them having a good time together in their scenes tho. I think the promo shoot was probably more terse than the months after since AJH filled the ML role so late and thus needed time to grow into it. What also did not help to settle into a true romantic dynamic is the abrupt cut once it had started to be that (beach date where they were really comfortable with each other. Imo kiss was passive from her due to her feeling bad since she's already decided to ditch him. Like she's fully taken aback by it. There was a good build up to more by then with the promise to stay together and be parents, but it got destroyed by the writer's need for nonsensical angst and timeskip mania and it had never recovered since. I'm hoping we see YD letting loose in the last ten episodes bc now there is no reason to be longer as distant as she is to him.

I ensure you that you will have a better time catching up then. Because nothing of value is lost in these 6-7 episodes except cute baby Haneul and appa Taekyung scenes for which I recommend watching clips on Twitter or the kbs channel on YouTube. Yeah I suppose summer is to blame for it too but I actually think the main reason why was well Haneul. They can hardly shoot with a newborn or very small infant baby for long. So they 'aged' her up so baby Sol could take over. Who is still super young but probs better to work with than the complete new earthworm 😁

As said I have a half-written fic where YD calls TK after birth and they reunite after 5 months and Taekyung helps her hide away. They raise Haneul together until YD's return to Seoul 7 months later. Could have still timeskipped here but while making clear that TK is in the picture and supporting her and their daughter. That is the ONE major thing I would have changed if we had to stick with these idiotic changes of YD running away.

But I would prefer to trash and rewrite all from the end of 32. Episode 40 would then be episode 34 or 35 with the beach date the leads honeymoon instead of cruel break up. They are smart and register the marriage, find the apartment and move in together, focus on seeing them grow as couple and parents to be. There is also enough time for other characters development. timeskip to birth where YD is not alone but with fam. We see the leads facing difficulties and probs due to new parenthood that strains their relationship, but let's them also grow in the end as parents and couple. Conflict comes from interpersonal level and drama focuses on family relations, conflicts and growth instead of dumb drama. Creep could still be creeping and trying to recollect Haneul and YD like prized pets but would face more opposition from the get go. Strawberry could be properly introduced and developed same for all the other characters and plots. Conflict is good for building tension, but doesn't need to be screechy nonsense. Could happen more on an interpersonal level as said. Five Enough and Once Again show that this can be done well in a weekend drama tbh.

i would rather love to hit the damn writer on the head with the biggest book of family law i can find. Because this is not how this works. How any of this works. He has no established paternity, not even proven to be dna giver thru a test, no court mandate, no visitation rights, no custody, no nothing. there are no relationship complications as long BN stays off the gong fam register. All good and dandy then. And if all fails TK can always request to be taken off the fam register so yeah. Itwill be BN since this will strengthen the ties between the families further and against the demons
