As a writer (hobbyist or not i DO have a lot of experience with how to structure proper storytelling and its arcs with appropriate character development and usage) i am all ABANDON YE HOPE AS IT IS FORLORN HERE. You don't and i repeat, you don't introduce a new storyline and/or character this late into the story especially when everything else is still very much unresolved with conflicts at every corner you ignore for new shinies and focus on the most mundane inane things instead to sort out... what really matters. Like? This is so hilariously unfocused and messy to me? I may not be a professional writer, but i can tell you that i could sort out IF we are going a few steps back, that is. Because this here now, feels very much past any point of return for it to end satisfactory.
