And if not, would it ever become easier to form her, no… their names in his mind without it ripping up his insides? He rubbed his hands through his face with another sigh, while his sadistic brain supplied them instantly. Yeondoo. Jinjja. The pang of hurt was immediate and Taekyung shook his head. Yeah, not going there, not now.

He sat up straight and reached for his phone on the nightstand to check for the time. 4:46 am. Great. Just perfect. That had been exactly three and a half hours of sleep then. And too much time yet to go till working hours started, but getting back to sleep was out of the question. This bone-deep exhaustion wasn’t something even sufficient rest could fix anyway, ever. While the phone’s harsh glow illuminated the room, his eyes fell on the date. November 12th, 2023. Ah. Maybe that explained her unexpected appearance in his dreams, like a ghost. The due date was nearly imminent, and… was she safe wherever she was? Not being able to help her, to be with her and Jinjja did hurt even more, knowing this. Five months. So much lost time already.

Okay, these writer monkeys really have managed what I have not done for like two years now, thanks t their absolute infuriating hack job with eps 34. I am WRITING, a fix it fic, to be exact. Because i cannot get it out of my head with how EASY it would have been to make the story more satisfying, even if we are indeed taking the canon route of noble idiocy with YD vanishing in the night. Can't promise when it will be ready and done but i am ANGRY still about it all, and bad writing in canon has always been my best motivation to write, to DO IT BETTER. So i suspect i won't rest before it is done, lol. So, i guess, see you all later with the finished thing, whenever that will be, lol

Jinjja/Real (nickname for the kid) is a girl btw, in case you are wondering heh.

i remember seeing this scene, while still reeling with yet another 7 months timejump (writer monkeys hitting the ffw button) In that scene you are obviously meant to focus on the cute baby but i just was gaping openmouthed at her perfectly at peace attitude and thinking Whoa, she really does not give a single shit about him, doesn't she?" And my second thought that followed it was ... well "asshole" but right after that i caught myself thinking... so Bongnim did indeed tell the truth and she never loved him. Liked him, sure, enjoyed his emotional support, but all till a "here and not beyond" threshold. Always keeping bits of her away, a way out and the full commitment made only a lip service broken few days later when she vanished into the night to live the life she actually wanted.

Cool, this makes me totally root for the second chance romance bc she is obviously still very much emotionally invested into him (and always has been)🙃 and i cannot get over the fact either that their so called reunion was by chance and not because she had a change of mind, to check in with him or something since she is in Seoul after all. Nope it is all forced upon her, unwanted and she already has plans to run away again. That is what you call true love, indeed, lmao

no he has no involvement into the family company whatsoever. His profession as ob/gyn and everything is deliberately chosen by him to be completely financially independent from his ghoulish family (you also get to know later that he studied very hard to achieve that, and was a straight A student due to it)

He told her that he was going to speak with a lawyer friend 'tomorrow' to find ways to keep JH from popping up whenever he wants and threatening to take away Jinjja.

So yeah, very much a sound and imminent plan in order to be equipped for the child's protection post birth. Pretty sure this was his planned course of action after work the next day, but as we know it never happened due to the company presentation of the new fashion line etc and bc YD was cornered to do her solo confession to momzilla. Where it all went wrong story wise basically (the writing I mean)

oh god, point 3 in particular makes me roll my eyes so hard they are in danger to get stuck in the back of my head whenever i hear it being brought up as reasoning for YD vanishing into the night and her year long of ghosting. I had a few arguments about this on twitter, and i just cannot, for my life fathom how you could use your pregnancy/child as a justification to hurt all the people who love and care about you in this way. Especially not after promising the man who loves you dearly to stick it out together, stay together as a family of three forever now. Worse even, listen to his imminent future plans of searching and preparing a home, inclusive nursery for the three of you, and smile and thank him for it, while you have long since emotionally checked out and mentally planned your escape.

I am sorry there is protecting your (unborn) child and then there is being a callous asshole and YD definitely fells under the latter category, no matter how you twist and turn it.

i do a prayer circle for it at this point, srsly.
