I know now why those crazy plot changes occurred. Yes. As i was saying already, the hug at the end was definitely way more closer than the other hugs felt before (despite YD only hugging back belatedly like always) They feel more like a couple now, for some reason.

AJH once more ate up all his scenes especially the subtle ones without dialogue showing how torn he is with his emotions between i love her but i hate her but i love her, rinse and repeat. The regret, hurt, confusion, anger. It was a delight to see him tackle that with expression and gestures alone. He and his character are it worth holding out through the phase of bullshit that at least is thankful work for him as an actor with all the in between emotions it requires from him. If only BJH were better in it is too tho... sigh.

Forget noble idiocy, YD running away and being selfish af. No one dialing the number for the cops to get JH's harassment/stalking on file and a restraining order is now the most frustrating part of the show for me by far. A kind and understanding mother? From the top of my head: The FL in Five Enough. (also ML as father, later on in their patchwork fam) This family drama has some of, if not the the best parenting i have seen in a kdrama. The main leads in particular (older parents are more of the disapproving kind but also come around quickly.) They are not perfect and make mistakes but they always sit down with their kids to explain, empathize with whatever they going thru, listen and are there for them when they are needed. Stellar parenting all around, gotta say.

As i said in my summary tho. I still do need to see YD to step up for TK. Like, a lot. Best way doing so would be her suggesting to register their marriage asap. This would show definite commitment to him, no longer running away. And i need this idea coming from her.

Also i so wish they would give both families the finger, move to the countryside/small town where TK works as ob/gyn and YD at the local school. They have a regular sit down in the evening to talk and work through things and the past hurt, relearning healthy communication and rebuilding lost trust. They support each other mutually/equally as couple, parents and people and get some time for themselves in between for dates. Soojung, Daesung, Hee, Sookyum and Granny are allowed to visit, the others can family drama-ing it out on their own, battle royal style.

Truth be told i skipped a lot of the psycho duo bs and other waffling but overall it was an improvement to the prior three episodes. Which is not hard to do, but when you expect nothing from the writers anymore they can at least surprise or not disappoint you. Wish their separation would last a bit longer but there is too much bullshit… well everywhere so I don’t expect them to draw this out. Which also unfortunately means a half-baked reunion with nary anything discussed/cleared up between them. Ofc the demon-sired fly-splattered leeches get out when YD gets into the entrance of the hospital so they narrowly miss each other but they see grans car.

Since he places them in the bags itself on the prior shrine it tells you that he is not just wavering but kinda wishing the nursery were not empty again. He lingers there, wistfully. What i do notice about the hug to waffle on like the pacing did today in parts lol, is that it feels different. Before it was always a bit...awkward and stilted and while YD is too passive at first before hugging him back, they do feel more like a romantic couple to me now. Closer, somehow. We will see how it develops with all the bs around them tho in the preview they have already moved haneul's crib into the bedroom and it has different bedding which very well indicates them sharing a bed already again, or hurhurhur TK deserting to the couch. But honestly with how much he has to catch up i don't see the latter happening. The backhug of TK for YD/Haneul combined is cute. I ignore the rest of the preview bc naaaah. I wish they would let the leads in a happy vacuum for about at least a quarter of next episode for them to be able to reconnect. So romance can kinda romancing?
