Lol this really was super obvious. Just hate that they are introduce her so late. Would have made more sense sense…
Hahaha. Law is definitely not my field of expertise, but i already said by the end of the drama i know more about korean family law than that of my own country, lmao. But what can i say while they are too busy angsting i wanna know what is possible and whatnot in the future for them. Hence why i looked up adoption law for Haneul, how they can get married when YD turns out to be a Gong by blood for Taekyung and how to handle a stalker ex/ punishment (there is a new SK stalking law since 2021 which makes stalking crimes punishable by up to three years in prison or 30 million won (US$25,540) in fines.) and korean custody laws for Yeondoo. I like to know how things work and how they affect the future story, so yeeeeah i tend to deep dive and hyperfocus if things interest me.
But most of all I wish i could magically transmigrate into the show and.... slap so many people errr drag the leads to police and family lawyers... and then to the district office to register their goddamn marriage lmao. Hell since i am not korean i would even drag two random passerby in there to act as their witnesses. (I also would love to give them a long list of evidence regarding the demon duo and stalking offenses done by this creep, but my korean is still shit (especially speaking) so this may be a prob xD)
These are the times where i wish TK would have invested more time in his friendship in the past with that lawyer friend he mentioned that one time but nothing came out of it. Would be goddamn USEFUL just about now to have a lawyer bestie telling them TO STOP DAWDLING lmao.
I already see an upwards trend with eps 36 again tbh. There's structure and direction in here the prior three episodes very much missed. I just hope we get one less stressful episode with the leads getting a much deserved break from SUFFERING and be happy for more than five minutes. Please I beg ya ππ
She is. A living charm weapon. Like one smile and you are lost. Also i cannot get over how much Haneul looks like…
Hahaha seriously tho, the baby girl looks so similar to jaehyun that I'm like do you want something to tell us all AJH? πππ
But that also makes wonder WHY she looks so similar to TK (nose, lips, forehead like... everything basically) and nothing like her prospected dirtbag "father" yknow ππ€π
The thing that make me little bit borther about this one, why in some long drama (makjang) FL always have baby…
i rather think the writers are doing it so often bc it is very much not the norm in SK and thus attracts viewers :) And by now it is a family/daily drama trope like idk, disapproving parents heh
I find myself strangely satisfied with 36, at least with the ending. It's nice to be able to not think of the…
Thanks to episode 36, i also feel less like screaming on the inside when thinking about that dramaπ They are setting up π nicely atm with Halmeoni being THE mvp in the show. Hee, is a surprising second, who would have thought? She turned out the friend that YD always needed but never had in regards to speak about her emotional needs (no wonder YD is so emotionally constipated she never learned healthy communication in this regard. I mean LOOK AT HER FAMILY! Which makes me wonder how TK came out so emotionally available and intelligent with THAT ghoul fam, but then again he only is with YD, haha) I hope Hee gets a golden VIP invite to TK/YD's wedding in the end, because it was about 80% her matchmaking effort that Taekyung was able to sort through his feelings and got to know YD's.
The other 20% was him seeing the reason why YD ran (how scared she is) and making up his mind to stay and be at her side again. Loved how he slept on the couch instead in his bedroom to show presence, this was a very simple yet effective way to show his care and concern. YD still has a lot to make up for in regard of him, but i can't help but being pulled back in by these two. Sigh, I'm a sucker for punishment, apparently ππ
Also for shit and giggles i explained the situation with JH as objective as possible from YD's point of view to…
oh definitely, it is frustrating that the writers seem to have forgotten that law enforcement exists, nor show or let her taking any of these steps for self-protection. in favor of heightening the drama (when it is just insulting how no one ever calls the police here when it is obvious to everyone what this trashbug is doing is stalking and harassment) She is still in total flight and ostrich mode which. well fear aint rational, sure, but it does only exacerbate her problem and not solving it. I hope we get over to this now on the following weekend, bc hiding out in TK's apartment is a very imminent and temporary solution for her and child's protection THAT night, nothing more. I really want to see them tackle their problems together now, instead of her keep avoiding everything, and her standing up for herself AND TK again. She has to, in order to stay at TK's side who deserves that at least. Like, feels like motherhood made her weaker instead of stronger???? You got your baby to protect woman, so fuckin do it!
Also, Taekyung has some sweet sweet punching hooks, i wish he would use them on this bastard way more liberally.
imo, the main couple is the main draw here, they have a good pacing and build up from strangers to ppl supporting…
Yeah. Tho i do have more sympathy for her now after eps 36. Like she is seriously mentally impacted by the stalking (hyper vigilance, anxiety, stressed/feeling unsafe af, nightmares, avoidance of any usual routine or people she knew) Still running away solves nothing and what she did to TK was very heartless and selfish. She even admitted she had only cared about herself and the child and just saw the errors of her ways when seeing him again. I get her running away in a moment of heavy crisis. I don't get her cutting off all kind of support system she had. She could have handled it way better, especially toward the man who loved her so much and kept all his promises... unlike her. She has a ton to make up for now and i hope to see it asap.
Taekyung: This is my wife Yeondoo, and my unborn kid, Jinjja. I love them and they really changed my outlook on family, marriage and becoming/being a father. No matter if the child is biological mine or not, i am going to raise and love it like my own. I really enjoy having my own little family and finally I am no longer alone. I feel loved, appreciated and have a place to belong now π₯°π₯°π₯°
Howler Monkey Inok: I HATE THEM BECAUSE THE CHILD IS NOT OF YOUR BLOOOOOOD. LIES. LIIIIIIES LIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEES π€π‘π€π‘π€*wails her way into tearing them apart, effectively destroying her son's source of happiness.*
[One year later]
Howler Monkey Inok: I don't get why my son is so cold and distant to meeeee???? When everything i did was for hiiiiim???? Why does he refuse to not only marry, but even date women now??????? I don't understand??????? WHYYYYYY?????? Is he doomed to be alone for the rest of his life????? How could this happen????????
I rarely watch weekend drama for the main couple bcause their story is usually dragging. So how is the 2nd or…
imo, the main couple is the main draw here, they have a good pacing and build up from strangers to ppl supporting each other to whoops i am in love... a bit awkward at times maybe and ML giving more but still cute (until a certain point in the story where it is deconstructed for the obligatory if unnecessary angst fuel and currently being build back together, hopefully stronger and better.) They have a lot up and downs but hopefully far more ups now after all the downs, lol. AJH is stellar in his role as Taekyung, the array of emotions, the sincere, clear delivery of his lines, the microexpressions he is really living the role and making the character feel alive/three dimensional. His char is the biggest ML green flag i have seen in a while, i love him sm. BJH is better with big emotions than small in her acting but overall i am not impressed, it is hard to read her face at times when she emotes in a smaller way, which makes it harder to empathize with FL ngl. I like the layers and complications to their story tho since this is makjang tis overblown at times and could be solved if, especially FL communicated better instead to bottle everything up in an IM FINE fashion, blindsiding ML, who also at times needs a good slap on the back of his head regarding that. But he is definitely the more forthcoming one of the two, always let FL know where he stands emotionally and is just the biggest marshmellow for FL and is steadfast in his love for her all the way through <3
As for the second/third pairing. The young one is kinda cute aka ML's sister and FL' and kinda a mirror to the leads, just genderflipped. i don't care much for TK's fair weather bestie and his wife tbh, but they have a complete arc too. Villain couple (they are not together at least anymore when you see them, they are just two clowns who need to check into the psychiatric ward asap) are very annoying bc they stay such one-dimensional delusional mfs all the way thru with no life of their own so they are stalking (literally) the leads like the most deranged sasaengs. There is a will they wont they elder couple that so far is more on the won't side but they are cute imo. Ironic how probably the healthiest married couple is the one i forgot about, but that bc i care for only one part of the character not the other, lol. Their arc is about trying to conceive but failing and they are eeeh personally, very supportive of and loving with each other but i don't care for their relationship much. TRHC certainly lacks the sadon couple of once again or the yeontae/sangmin of FE quality of secondary couples alas, because the focus is clearly on the leads and their up/downs.
im still so confused why sheβs so ok with her always being around. like did she forget she deceived TK to try…
Howler Monkey is the living pikachu face frozen in time. Like....constantly whaaaaaaaa? whyyyyyyy????? at her son being cold and distant when she destroyed his happiness with such hysteric caterwauling, pearl clutching and overreaction that even actual banshees would be like "naaah man too loud, too much screeching. FOR A YEAR? Normally you would use the term tone-deaf but DEAR LORD this is just not STRONG enough to describe the amount of NOT NOTICING ANYTHING especially the CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR OWN ACTIONS. GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURL, sit tf down.
I have to laugh tho at how Yeondoo basically is Gong's voldemort by now. Like do not dare to mention her name in this house or get your eyes clawed out by the momster π If i were TK i would get tipsy but would fake being super-drunk to go to the vampires' residence, just to repeatedly yell out her name at night. Like, make a nice song with her name only. And the next day I would excuse it with heartache or play dumb, But in truth it was just me being extra petty, especially toward momzilla for sending me on a blind date with that (boring) chickπ
(too bad TK is more mature than me in these things tho haha)
Baaaaaack on the bullshit carousel and I dunno why I do this to myself but I canβt quit now either I am too…
aww thank you hahaha. Thanks to the FFW button and the episode resembling having something like focus and direction again, i had less the need to scream into or punch my pillow like with all the three episodes before it, lmao
You aren't making sense. 1. IT IS HIS CHILD2. he dosen't need to do anything for YD.3. Again YD left without a…
I just.... can't even start to fathom how ANYONE could defend stalking, harassment by an ex, literal mental/emotional ABUSE, but hey as long he is hot he gets a pass, amiright?
Oh also leaving this here, because we see signs of that in YD already (especially in eps 36)
"The impact on victims of stalking and harassment is often profound. This type of behavior typically triggers intense stress, low mood, hyper vigilance, fear, feeling vulnerable, self-blame. Stalking will trigger disruption in the victimβs life, from the need to change phone number and job, to having to relocate their home. More serious psychological injury is common including PTSD, sleep disturbance, depression and inability to concentrate."
Especially nightmares (her jerking awake in the nursery, looking around in panic and checks on HN), hyper vigilance (constant feeling of needing to get away, to look over her shoulders for danger) feeling unsafe/scared, disruption in her life (not being able to go home, having to change her phone number etc.) And of course this effects Haneul well-being negatively too. A kid, especially this small needs a stable environment and a not a super-stressed mother that has constantly to look over her shoulder for signs of danger. (Btw, there is this scene of TK where he brings her clothes and then sits down on his couch. He recalls her complete terror in his car after saving her from this psychopath, and we see him nodding. Imo this is where he makes up his mind to stay at her side again)
Like sure this is but a stupid kdrama, but these are things that happen to real people all too often. So next time maybe just..... don't.... defend the perpetrator, no matter if he is fictional???????
Also for shit and giggles i explained the situation with JH as objective as possible from YD's point of view to…
yeah bing's reply looked similar to this, but it was also "Iβm so sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds like you are dealing with a stalker ex who is not respecting your boundaries or your childβs well-being. That must be very stressful and scary for you.π" which was kinda cute to be validated/comforted by our future overlord π
Feels like bing is the more empathic one too hehee

Howling Monkey Inok: "Just look at her. She looks exactly like you."
Taekyung: "She...does???"
Howling Monkey Inok: "Do you enjoy lying to me?"
Taekyung: "No listen... I haven't, i mean we have n-"
Howling Monkey Inok: "I don't know what to BELIEVE anymore π© Do a DNA test now, you hear me!"
Taekyung: Uuuuuuuuuhhuh???? *TK.exe has crashed*

Like that is some casting choice, indeed. (could be AJH's irl daughter from looks tbh) Something the writers want to tell us??????? π€£
