Imo the scene in eps 36 where they talk about YD/ lost daughters is writers clobbering us over the head with it. Plus, they both wear the same-ish hairclips and hairstyle. Both have the same harsh exterior as defense mechanism and quick temper but secret soft core. BN's age adds up perfectly as well with what is needed for 🍓

The writers have escalated the (stupid) situation (that reveal was so dumb/displaced a year later with their collective brainrot and outrage that Haneul did not spawn from a tree) so far that no acceptance of the leads without a MASSIVE upheaval in power structures/humble pie bakery with these ghouls is possible. They really made 🍓 the only possible ticket back in for YD/TK, who atp should say FUCK IT we gonna live/deal with kang/oh fam only, but since this is a family drama 🙄Yeah.

Also the sentence of joseon momzilla lunatic "I am sick of you and your daughter" toward BN is SUCH a set up for later to make her CHOKE ON THESE WORDS it made all my writer sense vibrate at a high frequency lmao. Also in the long run, YD/TK do need the ghouls' support against this creep, chaebol fam and all. Different ballgame than the leads alone against him. Tho TK should have amounted some good wealth on his own by now since his lifestyle wasn't exactly exorbitant over the years. There is still the promo text of the ghouls... err gongs becoming "jinjja's childcare avengers" so yeah, speaks of a return into the vampires' den for the leads then (if still valid bc who tf knows at this point)

I heard about the cast riding the strawberry train hard atm, and i cackled a lot. They don't even try to be subtle anymore. Question is more than who it is how this is gonna discovered/revealed which gives me an headache (among too many other writerly headaches but yeeeeah) with only 12 eps left now? They wasted so much time for wangsting aka over-melodramatic bs which amounted to nothing other than Jinjja being born and named Haneul (so they can slot in a custody battle too) Last ten eps gonna be super rushed that is for sure, bc there is so much left to resolve so the stalemate for the past 5-6 eps is especially frustrating.

The only other way to resolve this WITHOUT BN being 🍓 is making Haneul Taekyung's bio kid, so they can all queue up to get a good dose of the leads'🖕🖕🖕 while begging for forgiveness on their knees ofc, and catapulting the demon clown duo into the mental ward xD Could, of course still be BOTH, as the lack of any dna test and common sense regarding legal establishment of paternity is staggering, ugh. So yeah. Third option is still the leads' going SCREW IT, take granny and live in the vacation home far away from everyone (oh fam can visit lol) but as said, family drama so no permanent cutting ties allowed, no matter how toxic these psychos are, sigh.

Hmm as much importance korean society puts on blood relation i think this is what makes her valid, not the fam register. Aka a DNA test proving her blood relation. She can be put in the fam reg, sure but i doubt she would want to.

And if she (BN) is written into the fam reg after all, well TK simply does have to throw a "divorce my toxic family" party... including silly hats for him, Haneul and Yeondoo, and a cake with "oh happy day." decoration + confetti, while counting down the time it takes to be written out of their fam register like it is new year's eve. Because atp it is the best that could happen to and the biggest gift they could make him lmao.

Oh for sure she will do that and she will love her. She is cool (and was very unhappy about that new Voldemort rule imposed by joseon lunatic) along with Uncle, Hee (the leads' cupid), Sookyum and granny.

I really hope this joseon momzilla's psychotic action serves as a wakeup call for YD regarding howler monkey so she FINALLY stops seeking this demon's approval. And also as kickstart into seeing the necessity of registering her marriage with Taekyung, so they can't be torn apart any longer like that. (And as we know hope dies last, if a very painful death then lol.)

Kinda sure Taekyung gets to know about it in some way, because he is *pissed* in the preview. And his "Let's live all separate lives" is polite speech for I am done with you, never let me see your face again." So yeah, the final nail in the coffin he needed to cut ties from his side out, i think. Much better this way too.

I understood it not as a social visit, rather them checking in to see if Halmeoni is there, or not.

Also i hope TK goes for drinks with his pediatrician buddy. Since he already proven to be a better friend to TK with coming in in the middle of the night for their sick baby than this fair weather mf HW ever was for him. Or did for him. Outside of always throwing words of abandonment at his head and leaving him on his own, of course. Or throw TK under the bus at the mildest inconvenience . Seriously, with "best" friends like these you really need no enemies anymore.

TK being so proud of/taken in by Haneul that he could not stop himself to gush about her to Bongnim ("Haneul is a lot like Yeondoo and so beautiful"😍) was one of my favorite small moments in eps 38, even as BN was like "too soon" in her usual harsh way. But i call bs on her "not having approved of him yet" since she did not hesitate a moment to hand Haneul over to Taekyung, knowing he would take good care of her while she is talking with her daughter. She definitely comes fully around in the next episode because as insane and impulsive BN is... in the end she does love YD and wants the best for her (as misguided it is often.) Unlike howler monkey who only loves herself, ahem.

And once BN is on their side (which is super-important for YD hence TK respects it) i really need them to visit the district office with her as witness for marriage registration. (Hell i am going to eat wedding cake myself on the day that happens. Strawberry one 😂) Because vying for ghoul gongs' approval in order to get married is, wait for it, a FRUITLESS endeavor atm.

Baby Sol (real name of Haneul) seems to have taken a shining to AJH in general and it shows during their scenes, which is the cutest thing 🥰🥰🥰

Would have titled it BRAAAAAAINWOOOOOORMS, because everyone in there outside of the leads, granny, the kids and uncle/hee is virtually INSANE by now, Even under korean culture lens i cannot fathom so many psychotic people and backward attitudes making a non-issue the biggest dramatic wangsting of all thru toxic lvl of overinvolvement into the leads' lives who just want to have their peace and quiet to raise their child. This drama takes filial piety to an extreme and very, toxic level.

It is said in Korea when you marry you marry the families too, so considering this maybe they should just live together as is, BECAUSE ALL OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ARE WALKING MENTAL DISORDERS, like the full spectrum of the DSM represented right there for any professional or armchair psychologist to gawk at like zoo animals. LIKE DEAR GOD ALMIGHTY give some of them sense pls or at least let us get away from them with those few who have it like next weekend with the halmeoni adventures, hopefully getting away from these psychos for at least one episode or half.
