welcome to BT's impromptu korean exercise/lesson as i translate the preview text by hand, you are all invited…
i think it is what they are setting up now, plotwise. But the main conflict of the lie has to be out of the way first. And this might also be the reason why the writer goes HERE, THE TRUTH FOR EVERYONE, not just inok coming saturday haha.

But that fam relation would mean new disapproval for YD/TK's relationship then, right? Oh great, just what they need lol.

Wait, if KBN is Strawberry then where does Uncle fit it? His parents adopted KBN?
that is the question, indeed, but quite possible now that you mentioned it. Lots of adopted people in this show then which is good, given the stigma it still carries in SK.

because in this moment, TK prioritized Yeondoo's safety over his feelings in order to get her treatment as fast…
I did not like it either, nor did he, but, objectively seen, especially as medical professional, it was the right thing to do in this situation to have someone watch over her. He needed to drive, and keep his wits about him for that short amount of time it took to get to the clinic, after all.

And as we have seen he literally jumped out of the car to carry her inside himself then and told the jerkburger to fuck off. As he should, heh.

same tbh, because the last time we had something wth-like in the preview text was with TK declaring a separation. And as it turned out the separation was declared from his family, not Yeondoo, so yeah I don't trust the preview text as much as i do the preview itself... not at all 🀣

yeah, if she is really thrown out i would side-eye the shit out of inok, despite my defense of her having a right to feel upset. Plus TK would leave then too, to stay with YD. Oh well, i actually expect it to be solved by sunday bc this writer hates dragging out the conflicts in the show, after all. So i don't think it will go over weeks now like ppl fear here and over at twitter tbh.

Title The Real Has Come! Spoiler
I was wondering, Is strawberry is Mrs Kang (yeondoo mother) ?????
I mean there is a spoiler (speculation? idk) that Jinjja is related by blood to the gongs' so there is not much wiggle room then to make it happen. It is either Bong Nim or JH's mom being πŸ“

Phew, if this happens well lets just say it is a good thing that TK is only adopted then... would be too much alabama otherwise πŸ˜‚ Also YD suddenly would have a granny not only as in law and a lot of new cousins then, huh. And an uncle who nearly caused her to miscarry, whelp.

It is a bit um, effed up still, like the family tree is on fire and burning to the ground, but probably still better than to include JH here, so he can fully fuck off soon. What does happen then to the cousin-ly love of DW/YM? Do they make DW adopted then into the Oh fam and him being actually related to Jay and co? Oh woah, he is a rich heir then lmao. This also would mean for the sperm donation plot to fall through then, which i would honestly prefer at this point. Since Hee can eat shit, scamming scum.

This drama is getting wiiiiiild now lol. What would TK/YD then be to each other family-wise? Also cousins, right? If thankfully not by blood. Who are married to each other (kinda) Oh god this would be so weird hahahahaa.

My buddy on Twitter is freaking out too about inok, surprisingly and I'm puzzled as to why we all seem to put…
i see. I translated it now myself with the help of naver dictionary for the words i did not know. Maybe for future preview texts you post, be so kind and also post the hangul og text so i can take a look at it, yeah? (Since to translate it by hand is good practice for me, plus less weirdly worded texts heh)

Thanks :)

Translated the preview text of episode 33 by myself and this is the result (with reasoning as to why)
welcome to BT's impromptu korean exercise/lesson as i translate the preview text by hand, you are all invited to it, lol:

μ—°λ‘λŠ” 인μ˜₯μ—κ²Œ λͺ¨λ“  사싀을 ν„Έμ–΄λ†“λŠ”λ‹€.
Yeondoo confesses everything to Inok.

(사싀을 here means the truth but it is included in the declarative verb form at the end of the sentence, so not needed to include. -λŠ”λ‹€ ending is used in writing and declares a fact, state etc. Ah yes grammar, don't we love it all xD)

연두와 νƒœκ²½μ΄ μžμ‹ μ„ μ†μ˜€λ‹€λŠ” 배신감에 크게 λΆ„λ…Έν•˜λŠ” 인μ˜₯.
Yeondoo and Taekyung repent over and over for their deceit to an outraged Inok, who feels betrayed (by them)

(Reasoning: μžμ‹ μ„ has many meanings one of them repent feel (deeply) sorry and it fits the context. (context is everything in korean, lol.) μ†μ˜€λ‹€λŠ” means deceit, lie, tricking etc and again with that ending declares a (continuous) state. 배신감에 means "sense of betrayal" and the particle 에means "to/of" and 크게means big immense etc together with the word β€œλΆ„λ…Έβ€ for rage... and verb of to do (ν•˜λŠ”) as descriptive adjectives for Inok well, yeah you get the point, lol.)

이λ₯Ό μ•ˆ 가쑱듀도 연두와 νƒœκ²½μ—κ²Œ μ„œμš΄ν•¨μ„ λŠλ‚€λ‹€. κ³„μ†ν•΄μ„œ 잘λͺ»μ„ μ‚¬μ£„ν•˜λŠ” 연두와 νƒœκ²½.
The family members who know about it too, feel sorry for/to see Taekyung and Yeondoo continuously begging for forgiveness.

( I combined the two sentences into one because it does not make much sense otherwise in english, lol. μ„œμš΄ν•¨μ„ λŠλ‚€λ‹€ translates to feeling sad/sorry, 이λ₯Ό μ•ˆ is knowing (about it) 가쑱듀도 is family members and the particle 도 means too/as well. μ‚¬μ£„ν•˜λŠ” means in succession, a state that continues for a longer time, to do something (haneun) 잘λͺ»μ„ – mistake/grave error etc, is implied does not need to be included in translation. μ‚¬μ£„ν•˜λŠ” is apology in a sense of nearly begging, so yeah.)

κ·ΈλŸΌμ—λ„ ν™”κ°€ 가라앉지 μ•ŠλŠ” 인μ˜₯은 κΈ‰κΈ°μ•Ό 연두λ₯Ό λ΄‰λ‹˜μ˜ μ§‘μœΌλ‘œ μ«“μ•„λ‚΄ λ²„λ¦¬λŠ”λ°...
In spite of that, Inok’s anger does not subside, so Yeondoo is cast out to Bong Nim’s house...

(Bad news is: μ«“μ•„λ‚΄ really means: throw out, abandon, cast out, to fire etc especially together with β€œλ²„λ¦¬λŠ”λ°β€but I still believe the context here is that she dumps YD in front of BN’s house and forces her to confess to her mother, or rather drags her inside and does it herself, as seen in the preview. We will see tho.

The only way Inok would disappoint me as much as her shitty husband is when she really does throw her out of their home, as the literal translation implies. So it is up to context to come to the rescue, hopefully.)

YES. So much this. We all do well to remember that she fought tooth and nail to bring YD into the house in the first place bc she believed in their love for each other. No matter that it is actually the truth now with them having fully committed to each other for life, they lied about it back then and also about Jinjja in general, while letting her play the happy grandma to be.

Tbh, i think it is also more about them deceiving her than Jinjja not being Taekyung's bio kid. (Because she will end up accepting and loving Jinjja as much as TK did/does, independent of this fact) It is using and trampling on her trust what makes it so horrible for her, and why she is super upset with them. Like this reaction has to happen, for her to express her sense of betrayal given how close she is to both of them, before she will be able to sit down and talk things through with them. For people to expect her to be all rational about it IMMEDIATELY without having any kind of emotional impulsive response to the news is silly and utopian. However fictional, she is a human (character), not an unfeeling robot.

i dont have the link, but i asked lunkera for it so i can look at the og one in hangul and take a stab at translating it myself without machine help. But here is what they posted:

Episode 33 Preview

Yeon-du confides everything to In-ok. In-ok is furious with Yeon-du and Tae-gyeong for cheating on her. Knowing this, her family also feels sorry for Yeon-du and Tae-kyung.
Yeondu and Taekyung continue to apologize for her mistakes. Nevertheless, In-ok, whose anger does not subside, kicks her Yeon-du out to Bong-nim's house...

Last sentence in particular feels like it is "drag her out" to BN house instead of "throwing her out"

So it seems the Gong Family feels bad for TK and YD.Episode 33 PreviewYeon-du confides everything to In-ok. In-ok…
btw do you have the link to the og text? Would love to look at the last sentence in hangul in particular bc this seems like a vast mistranslation

Oh and I reread the preview text for eps 33, the last sentence of throwing YD out doesn't make sense and is a weird weird machine translation rather. I think that it is "inok drags YD out to come with her to bongnim place' since we see them both sitting at her mother's with inok giving the deets to BN. So yeah, we all would do well to take a deep breath lol

Microsoft Hotline scammer Hee is waaaaaay to young to be λ”ΈκΈ° tho, the woman is close to Patrick's age rather.

More thoughts about inok and me being puzzled by the sudden influx of doomsayers here and on Twitter 🀨
My buddy on Twitter is freaking out too about inok, surprisingly and I'm puzzled as to why we all seem to put so much importance into 30 seconds of preview and glean from it the future writing of the show. Like the preview alone seems like a momzilla supercut to me tbh and I feel I'm kinda alone in actually understanding her feeling hurt and angry af? Idk why you expected her to be immediately rational about it and have a sit down to discuss it thru???? Like this is not how people work when being hurt by their beloved ones. I have more understanding for her than Patrick who went chaebol dad on both of them, demanding outlandish things without hearing them out going behind TK's back, causing YD undue stress etc. And this is mainly on the fact that inok is a lot closer to the leads than Patrick and this turns out to be a double-edged sword now tbh. While it will help her to understand eventually, their lie also hurts like hell at first.

So naturally her first reaction to it is very emotional, particularly because this is about her son lying to her and Yeondoo too. Basically the two people she has come to love/loves the most. I get it. It cuts deep hence why she lashes out at first and tbh I would dress down my kid as well if it had lied about something so vital for weeks instead of pulling me aside to confine in me. Once she has calmed down tho she will also asks why they did that and then be more open to talk but it may take some time they will have to give her.

This won't be her permanent state over weeks and weeks to come, and I don't get why so many people think now that the writer who hates nothing more than dragging on conflict is going to do exactly that. This doesn't make sense tbh especially seeing from a writer's pov he is throwing out all vestiges of the main conflict into the open for every character to deal with it instead of just inok next week. So this tells me that he is obviously done with (using) it and wants it resolved to move on from it and with the story. Hence why I think that inok will have come around by next Sunday like her braindead husband did, even if this is a lonely position to have here atm lol.

Inok is hurt and feeling betrayed and disappointed in both of them, but she'll come around for the sake of her son's happiness, no doubt. Because in the end when she is able to see past her own hurt, this will be what matters most to her. Sure, her relationship with both of them may be a bit strained for a while but we have thankfully enough episodes left to get it back on track and the leads will do their best so it happens quite quickly.

I was so proud of TK when he said that :,) we’ve come a long way from him saying he’ll never marry
And the best part of it is, it was not a flip of a magical switch but gradual change and acceptance, as good character development should be πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
