AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!hope it's a good thingi'm scared we are clown
Lol, thank you. i honestly will be cross and may write a ff when we don't get a much deserved break for the leads after The Lie™ is cleared up. But the beach scene in eps 34 is promising at least, tho i really want them to have time for themselves even after that without the world falling apart around them, For a full six episodes or so. So we finally get to see them doing couple-y things with REGISTERING THEIR MARRIAGE, searching for and setting up their home and nursery, movie date, aquarium date, picnic date etc (the change of scenery is also nice for the actors), making lots of pictures of them together which TK then takes as phone bg, staying in for, ahem, netflix and chill (ramyeon?) 😏, oh and REGISTERING THEIR MARRIAGE, with TK basically skip-jumping all the way to the borough office, whistling the wedding march. And not having only one seal on him but his reserve one too. I also hope to hear them talk casually to each other very soon, like pls drop the honorifics, you are a family now.
You know big and small things like that like REGISTERING THEIR MARRIAGE... okay i stop now xD (but it is so important to do for post birth) I mean with them basically them being disgustingly openly in love and lovey dovey with each other. Like at the breakfast table that one time, but now 24/7 😂 They deserve the respite and it is actually normal in a story to give it to your main characters after you have dragged them to hell and back heh. Always good to do after a crisis mastered so your chars can breathe and grow further/closer in their relationship with each other.
Well it is basically tradition for the leads to have their big wedding ceremony scene in a family drama so it would be so nice to see TK's evolution from dreading it with delulu dingleburger to CANT WAIT TO KISS MY PERFECT BRIDE with Yeondoo, haha. It would make for a good ending too, and to satisfy all the annoying ppl who cannot accept that Jinjja has survived all the odds, and is fully seen as TK's kid despite not being so biological, we could do a timeskip with twins as Jinjja's siblings. Also bc as much they are in love i highly doubt they will keep it in their pant.... err at one kid only. hahaha, Or idk, TK finding out she is pregnant during a routine examination a year after Jinjja was born or so, bc not to forget he is also her very personal doc lol. And ofc him being ecstatic about it. Hahaha, not TK being then like "I am definitely the father this time."😏
ROLL CREDITS HAHAHAH... ahem okay okay, i see myself out.
-what an intense ending. That blood trail. Damn!If real dies, joon ha will become useless. So don't c that happening.…
From the preview text of next episode we know that Yeondoo gives Taekyung the bracelet she had made for him, effectively seeing/declaring him as the father of her child. It is as good a love confession/commitment as it gets with her, a promise to stay with him, if you will. So while she will be deep in guilt and whatnot i actually expect her to talk things through with Taekyung.and how to handle things further. TK will once more declare that he won't leave her and stay at her side no matter what, that he is gonna protect jinjja, and that he will take care of things and she should just focus on getting better etc i would love to see him switching into doc mode too to calm her down (and keep himself from, spiraling, lbr.) Like he did after the e-scooter of doom accident.
And then we probably see him working on convincing his failure of a father, baring his loneliness and injustice suffered in this family until YD came into his life. Instilling much needed guilt in this hypocritical asshole, so he has no choice than to cave in the end. Which of course still leaves fessing up to his mother, but that will be a teamwork to be tackled together with YD, i believe. (Btw, Taekyung is very emotional, like this guy is driven by emotions a lot far more than YD who is the more logical one in their relationship. But it is just that he does not care as much YD does about his family (outside his mother and buddy HW maybe) and that emotional distance is for/out of very good reasons. It is why it had been so easy for him wanting to move out bc this has been out of the need to protect YD, since she is his first and foremost priority, always.) Bottom line is i expect the leads to go strong thru this and come out even stronger on the other side. (Since the goal of these diabolus dim-witted dinkleberries have been to split them up, you know it won't happen since the writer loves to ruin their plans in the end.)Inok is THE key figure in it all, however. Mind this is all just my assumption with how things will go from the bits we know (preview, preview text and prior character actions/interactions, aka their full commitment to each other, TK refusing to break up, protecting her etc)
I don't care where JH is in all that, hopefully far away from YD and cleaning up the shit he created with being despicable trash, regretting the day he was born as he should. Hope the toenail grime suffers, hope warped ill-breeding maggot-pie suffers as her shitty little plans fall thru, too. Btw her sentence how he is worse than the worst version of Taekyung was the singular sound and correct thing she has ever said in this drama, lol.
We can file the whole sourgrapes couple disaster under "this shit would not have happened if you BOTH would have talked with each other instead of the whole accusations and assumptions blame game." Either way, Gong fam relations are bound to get a lot messier. Here is hoping that our cutie pie otp does the smart thing in harassing the realtor lady once more for a home of their own to be away from THAT mess, lol.
What do you mean? I am really not sure here. All i heard is there is a beach scene down the line lol. And now twitter came through with a BTS pic of the scene confirming it to be about the leads (which i thought it is) but i am not 100% sure about the episode number they filmed it for tbh. Most likely 34, but could be a week later too. I expect them to go on dates a lot during the 30-ish episodes actually, since this is literally their honeymoon phase before childbirth. Heh. Also doing all the expecting parents stuff, of course.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!hope it's a good thingi'm scared we are clown
Yeah. The structure does remind me a lot of novel writing indeed. Every ten episodes seem to focus on something else, a new arc. So they seem like different books, but all belong together as a huge whole story. We are now in the big resolution stage of the main conflict so the leads can commit and be happy with each other after the crisis is overcome. These serves to set up their married life together, aka living together very likely in their own space in order to show the progress in their relationship, them preparing to become parents basically with their relationship deepening a lot till jinjja's birth. The thirty-ish episodes is their honeymoon phase, if you will. With going on lots of dates, being disgustingly in love with each other, and setting up their lovenest/home and nursery, doing all the expecting parents stuff with pregnancy milestones being shown, till eps 40.
Which is why i think the last ten eps are most likely post birth of their kid and them settling into and probably struggling with being parents, with a new conflict looming. Medical issue of Jinjja sounds too cliché here tbh maybe it is more cleanup on aisle seven regarding JH leaving them alone and boogereating baboon having her final moment of insanity endangering leads and child which bars her from redemption. Please all but an custody battle, ugh. I actually would love for the last ten to be about family, to clear up past grievances, reveal and deal with unknown family relations (DW/YM) and difficult bonds being made (BN/Ho)etc for a better future together instead of it being one major conflict focused on the leads alone. Being parents and all the sleepless nights is gonna tax them enough already, lol.
I do think we will get a nice wedding ceremony for the leads in the end for former marriage hater TK to come full circle when sobbing seeing his beautiful wife walking towards him on the aisle. Tears of happiness mind lol. Maybe we do even get a timeskip with more Gong/Oh kids (twins!) running around so Taekyung can distribute his excellent DNA too within his bio kid(s) lol, and them all being a happy big fam together in the end. With TK making no difference between jinjja and his bio kids, bc he loves them all very much in equal amounts (hence doing better than his adoptive father.)
Dunno about the other characters as i am always hyperfocused on my sweet otp, but they also deliver enough storylines still that we can finally move on from the bargain bin backyard scheming of self-named villains.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!hope it's a good thingi'm scared we are clown
yeah i am not 100% sure about the episode number tho, but it was something along that ballpark. So either 34 or the week after that. Definitely not long anymore, tho <3
Lol, wasn't me (or spoiler buddy) who posted it so i guess it is fair game to share. Lead actors filmed scenes at the beach for eps 34 ( i think?) and it looks like a date/honeymoon for YD/TK. Otp is going strong yall 🥰
And yet so many viewers believe this show is "nothing new to see here." However, I am looking forward to the moment…
It is full of clichés but in a very enjoyable way. Plus, we really don't get enough ML's who are head over heels for FL long before she is, and does not know how to handle it (well) (another reason why i love The Real Has Come, as you know, bc it has a similar dynamic when TK catches feels, lol)
And Gu Won is very sweet overall, he is just such a self-sabotaging dork about it all (his whole play it cool "i am busy" reply to her that backfired to the point he showed up in front of her upset why she didn't reply had me in stitches ngl) And yeah while i am most interested in his romantic misadventures with FL 😂, him cleaning house will be nice to see too.
Dunno what people expected, like this is such a nice brain off drama to watch. It does not have to be deep and grimdark with dense plots all the time. Lighten up folks, lol.
I skip through ever scene with Gong Yoo Myeong and all the other side characters. I'm just not that interested.
Tbh, of the side-couples i am only invested in DW/YM (they are cute and so many parallels to their respective lead siblings, just genderflipped) and Bongnim/Jangho (also adorable) tbh. Gong fam side-couples are dreadful for the most part (i like HW on his own and bro-ing it out with TK tho) and with the whole Hee scamming the chatterbox couple and a too naive SJ for money (sperm donation plot) is also uncomfortable to watch.
i love how this drama gaslights you into thinking ML is the typical smooth CEO who cannot do wrong at the start. But then he turns out to be greatest dork and doofus, especially around the woman he likes. Like he is such an awkward/unsmooth man with her and i could not love it any more, haha.
Yeah but given the writer has set up this conflict as the main one, the big reason and Damocles sword swords over…
oh gosh thanks and welcome to MDL <3 I am no teacher but i like to pick apart stories, especially those i like and also sometimes those i hate, as an example to what do better haha. I love to dive into the character's heads to see how they tick, to understand their motives and such for those i care enough about to do so. (which is definitely the case with TK/YD) That is indeed a writers' disease, but i am just a hobbyist writer here, nothing for a living or anything haha.
I learned a lot about writing techniques and story structure during the time i actively wrote (11 yrs and over a million of words) tho, but i have not written any story/fic for a while now. I blame kdrama for that haha, so it is nice to take my knowledge and apply it to the drama(s) i love for analysis tho.
Longform Kdrama is a lot more like novel writing in a way with the slow pace and development of characters and relationships. Everything is much faster in your average 16 eps show in comparison heh. However a discussion would be nothing without the interesting back and forth with the people here tbh.
Or TK’s bio dad had 2 women pregnant at the same time which would make them half brothers. At this point I don’t…
So they can only be related now if their father was a busy man and two-timing/cheating i guess. It practically screams JH, tho. He would be fully be his dad's child then lololololol
If YD/TK going to move out (which they should) after all is said and done, the first apartment TK looked at and wanted to take as his home (before moving into the annex) would be great for them. But also can you imagine the horror the realtor agent will feel when seeing Taekyung again after what happened last time 😂I would not be surprised if she would run away screaming/quit her job, when they come to her and, in fact, searching for a home together now.
Realtor lady: 'But you said he wasn't your husband and father of the child?" YD: Well... he is. Sorry for lying. So we want to move in together now." Realtor lady: Oh I see. That is, um, nice??? *horror theme plays as the realtor lady looks at Taekyung waving at her, smiling* 😂🤣😂
