Finally a more balanced episode than the two last together with everyone getting their fair share of screentime, with a slight bias toward sourgrapes couple still but I take them about the two vomit demons any time of the day. CW for swearing and bad words probably, if less so than last week. Probably lmao. As always the otp and all pertains to them has my full attention while I leave scenes of others to the latter subs or just explain briefly. We start off with some normal family drama and it is refreshing how the leads are in the viewer seats here instead of in the midst of it. Sourgrapes couple love triangle arc and I can’t bring myself to care tbh. I liked how TK shoved HW back into the house and bullshitted his way about “let’s stay in or go throw some basketballs to relieve stress instead hahahah D: while his mother nearly collapsed at the scene and YD had to calm her down. So much for going on a nice outing with Inok, and if that news of a colleague is knocking her off the feet I am not looking forward to her learning the truth about jinjja soon welp. They are all worried HW has heard it but he seemed to have not. HW/JM’s bullshit game of using other people to make each other jealous continues when they are alone. Inok is scandalized that the two seem to just pretend to be married and YD is like “Yeah I would not know about that hahaahaha.” Talk about awkward omg, TK comes in and with the request not to tell TK about their convo just now she leaves. Of course our guy asks why his mom looked so startled and she just tells him it was bc she was surprised to witness it all, conveniently leaves out the “fake marriage” suspecting part inok has about HW/sourgrapes. Whoops. The phonecall is the real estate lady who owns YD life now wanting to meet up for the contract I think,and with the previous/current tenant or the house owner (idk) so ofc YD has no choice to obey. At least she tells TK honestly about it, but of course the possibility of her leaving causes him to have a sitdown first, repeating her words to himself to stomach them. Hwaiting, my man. Inok aks if HW has had a conflict with sourgrapes but he is not really talkative in this regard and tells her he is tired and leaves.
Pissbaby has his first and sadly not last appearance in this episode and I only include it due to the sheer schadenfreude (such a nice word of my people) felt when he had a jealous fit about recalling YD/TK hugging and leaves out his frustration in a call to abyss ape. MOVING ON.
I am not sure if it is about the apartment or some work bc I heard the word work in the dialogue here but whatever. They meet and there is a contract involved either for work or the apartment. The talk comes to YD being pregnant and the baby’s father but YD says she is gonna raise the kid on her own, and looks very sad about it, unlike some episodes before. YAY progress. Her hesitance is a good sign, actually. She might not be fully aware of it yet but deep down she does not want to leave anymore, tho she feels an obligation to due to the lie and her guilt toward inok in particular. Which is why it is good this will cleared up soon heh.NO REASON TO LEAVE ANYMORE YD you will see.

Jang Ho has the best time with YD’s fam. It is striking how stark the difference is when he is with them and with his ex wife. I wonder when he will finally get to know it is, in fact, YD’s fam lol. Given the circumstances both of them find each other under YM not only dating a single dad but her inlaw and YD’s brother, there needs to be some other things to be set up first by the writer to lessen the blow/shock of it to the Gong fam about it. So that is why we see them only every other eps for a minute or two rn lol. They are still very cute and I can’t wait for them to get more screentime, but imo it won’t be for a while (until the whole jinjja parentage lie conflict is dealt with I think)
HW seems to have drunk and slept in his office and oh no is now meeting the boy who already is super-fond of him. I hate how they are basically using other people for their petty games here, especially when apo lady tells him that she is starting to have feelings for him, and there is also a kid involved whom we hear “I wish you were my dad” in the preview of next episode and yeah it is all a bit skeevy and their dishonesty all around toward each other and the other two very interested ppl in them rankles. Hope it improves soon, but for now SKIP.

OMG, I totally adore this scene bc it has the Taekyung I know and love again. Aka being the greenest flag, talking openly about his feelings and reassuring Yeondoo in the process. His love for her is so grand I am crying. The message he reads is her apologizing to him since she won’t come in for a while and he recalls her words for being sorry for liking him and how she not be with him if she makes his life difficult. So green flag man does the best he could in this sit and tells her from now on, do not feel sorry, do not apologize for your feelings (for me) don’t feel bad when you are with me. I don’t know how it’ll end for us, but just like me with all your heart until it does without feeling guilty. That way, I’ll be able to like you with all my heart as well.” 😭
And this is where she takes his hand (this is the first touch initiated by her, isn’t it? Good sign) and he hugs her and awww my babies I love them and their good good communication and empathy for each other is back again. YD even looks more relaxed in his arms then ever, not hesitating to hug back. PROGRESS YAY. How I missed it especially the past three episodes. Btw this is another missed opportunity for the first kiss I feel since it was an emotionally loaded scene, but oh well, I think the writer really does keep it for their full commitment to each other around eps 34 or so.
Next morning gran calls and is anxious about the election I think but whatever since YD is quick to end the call when TK arrives for breakfast, still in PJ’s. Married couple indeed heh. Is anyone also super amused how the power has shifted from gran to the leads completely now? She is no longer the head of the household but their student lmao. So it is fitting they go to her together. And TK does not lose a second to tease her about the election and how his beloved mother in law is gonna win it instead and she should not cry then like last time. He is so enjoying the new power dynamic, bless xD AJH/TK is so cute when he is cheeky <3 They really act as a team here, and I hope we see more of that instead of uncertainty. OMG another of my fave scenes, so brief but so meaningful for the further character development of Taekyung regarding fatherhood. The nurses are gifting them, idk what to call them, talking devices so the parents can talk to the unborn kid with one end pressed on the belly. Sort of like a tin can telephone? Same principle, really. So the kid can hear the dad’s voice and it is the cutest gift, really. Thoughtful too. Apo lady arrives so they talk more about the scene prior to it where sourgrapes appeared in the pharmacy, giving a slight warning. She knows now about the dating lie, but does not mind, but moving on.
To Taekyung in his office, thinking back on the words of the nurses that it is for the baby to hear their father’s voice and takes it out to try it out, aaaaaaaaaaaw. He is feeling sooooo self-conscious and silly about it but still starts with Jinjjaaaa before stopping several times and then giving up aawwww. Interesting is that he stops exactly where he needs to insert an “appa” aka introducing himself but he dares not to and is struggling with how to “name himself” It is a bit of a mixture between being embarrassed in doing this in the first place (given his bg) and also feeling not having the right to call himself the kid’s dad, not yet anyway. Don’t worry buddy, you will get there <3 I adore small character scenes like this, since it is showing he is emotionally dealing with the possibility, however tentatively. But ofc there is so much in his way yet for him truly coming to terms with it, starting and not ending with his own doubts of being capable enough. But more about it later.

Voting day for the election at old school and YD ambushes her mom bc she misses her haha. They talk things out and while competitive, they all keep it civil with each other. It is cute how this looks like a family outing with her new fave granddaughter, more than election day. But of course in the end Bong Nim wins as predicted by her favorite son in law (and the only one, and not even real one, whoops) TK gonna be happy haha. It is nice how these scenes bring them all a bit more together tho. Seems Jangho is happy too that BN won. They are so cute even if their relationship will set the family tree on fire, but tbf it was already crooked to begin with xD
Inok is preparing meals for the most uncomfortable dinner incoming, but of course Taekyung is fully unaware of it yet. Welp. “We have guests tonight;” inok tells him and we all can take a wild guess who is taking their skeleton ponies from the depth of the nether world to arrive to feast, yeeeeeeah. His mom also informs him that YD is with granny and we see that it is to console her from losing the election. As much I hated the old shrew, it is too cute how happy she is with YD praising her efforts and advances made with hangul. YD has her already fully wrapped around her fingers and it is so great to see the difference between them compared to the beginning. Especially bc it helps TK to have less to tiptoe around her too. Gran dislikes the thought of YD AND TK helping her jointly learn tho hahaha. How comfortable TK is in going into granny’s room and plopping down next to wifey tho, no longer caring if gran permits it or not hahaahah Oh gosh, and he wears his teasing face again, that particular expression when you just know he will needle her And he does, hahaah after she accused him of being glad that BN won lol lol lol.
Of course the guests from hell arriving interrupt the amusement. If inok knew… she would kick them out hehehe I like how granny looks at JH as tho he is full of shit, which he is hahaha. If I understand it correctly trash racoon tells him that he wants to make peace as he is now a partner of NX group so they will see each other more often and he wants to apologize for implying TK is not the father and blah blah blah. Why?” That is another great small character scene that shows the progress of him dealing with the possibility somewhat but can’t get used to it yet. How could he even with JH prancing around them, YD threatening to leave and his own doubts given his prior beliefs if he would be capable even to care for and be responsible for this child not being his which try as he might does factor in here, and is a process he gotta make on his own. I don’t think it matters as much to him that he is not the bio dad than it does that JH is around as a constant reminder how this bastard could take away all of that in a flash again, should TK want and be ready to take on that role of raising Jinjja. And so TK has not the luxury to let his guard down one bit, but as said it also pushes him to be confronted with all these fears, doubts EARLY ON and deep down the “what could be-s” of fatherhood. Which is a needed process to make, if he wants to have any future with YD of course.

Jang Ho has the best time with YD’s fam. It is striking how stark the difference is when he is with them and with his ex wife. I wonder when he will finally get to know it is, in fact, YD’s fam lol. Oh romance between DW and YM is a goooo too. However slowly. Given the circumstances both of them find each other under YM not only dating a single dad but her inlaw and YD’s brother, there needs to be some other things to be set up first by the writer to lessen the blow/shock of it to the Gong fam about it. So that is why we see them only every other eps for a minute or two rn lol. They are still very cute and I can’t wait for them to get more screentime, but imo it won’t be for a while (until the whole jinjja parentage lie conflict is dealt with I think)
HW seems to have drunk and slept in his office and oh no is now meeting the boy who already is super-fond of him. I hate how they are basically using other people for their petty games here, especially when apo lady tells him that she is starting to have feelings for him, and there is also a kid involved whom we hear “I wish you were my dad” in the preview of next episode and yeah it is all a bit skeevy and their dishonesty all around toward each other and the other two very interested ppl in them rankles. Hope it improves soon, but for now SKIP.

OMG, I totally adore this scene bc it has the Taekyung I know and love again. Aka being the greenest flag, talking openly about his feelings and reassuring Yeondoo in the process. His love for her is so grand I am crying. The message he reads is her apologizing to him since she won’t come in for a while and he recalls her words for being sorry for liking him and how she not be with him if she makes his life difficult. So green flag man does the best he could in this sit and tells her from now on, do not feel sorry, do not apologize for your feelings (for me) don’t feel bad when you are with me. I don’t know how it’ll end for us, but just like me with all your heart until it does without feeling guilty. That way, I’ll be able to like you with all my heart as well.” 😭
And this is where she takes his hand (this is the first touch initiated by her, isn’t it? Good sign) and he hugs her and awww my babies I love them and their good good communication and empathy for each other is back again. YD even looks more relaxed in his arms then ever, not hesitating to hug back. PROGRESS YAY. How I missed it especially the past three episodes. Btw this is another missed opportunity for the first kiss I feel since it was an emotionally loaded scene, but oh well, I think the writer really does keep it for their full commitment to each other around eps 34 or so.
Next morning gran calls and is anxious about the election I think but whatever since YD is quick to end the call when TK arrives for breakfast, still in PJ’s. Married couple indeed heh. Is anyone also super amused how the power has shifted from gran to the leads completely now? She is no longer the head of the household but their student lmao. So it is fitting they go to her together. And TK does not lose a second to tease her about the election and how his beloved mother in law is gonna win it instead and she should not cry then like last time. He is so enjoying the new power dynamic, bless xD AJH/TK is so cute when he is cheeky <3 They really act as a team here, and I hope we see more of that instead of uncertainty. HW asks to commute with TK since he still feels uneasy from drinking yesterday, which TK isn’t liking much since he would have preferred to have a drive with wifey of course. But so they end up going to work together while YM and YD share a taxi. Good for me as those two need more scenes together.
But ofc here it is that awkward moment when YM talks about her brother without knowing it is YD’s brother and asks her for advice what to do when liking a guy who is a single father “hypothetically” And excuse me while I cackle bc YD tells her there is nothing wrong with it bc her brother is a single dad. IMAGINE THAT. WOW. What a coincidence. Omg the writer has some sadistic joy in drawing that out, huh? “I would be happy for him if he would meet a nice pretty lady who loves him” hahahahaha omg, she sitting right there, YD.
Sookyum being the breadwinner in the DW part of the fam hustles with her first toy ad/product review thingie for youtube and in the break of the shoot, the boss lady arrives with coffee (?) and I love to see Yoomyung not being jealous at all haha. We are friends, you are going to help me, right? Hahaha I would not count on it, boss lady.

OMG another of my fave scenes, so brief but so meaningful for the further character development of Taekyung regarding fatherhood. The nurses are gifting them, idk what to call them, talking devices so the parents can talk to the unborn kid with one end pressed on the belly. Sort of like a tin can telephone? Same principle, really. So the kid can hear the dad’s voice and it is the cutest gift, really. Thoughtful too. Apo lady arrives so they talk more about the scene prior to it where sourgrapes appeared in the pharmacy, giving a slight warning. She knows now about the dating lie, but does not mind, but moving on.
To Taekyung in his office, thinking back on the words of the nurses that it is for the baby to hear their father’s voice and takes it out to try it out, aaaaaaaaaaaw. He is feeling sooooo self-conscious and silly about it but still starts with Jinjjaaaa before stopping several times and then giving up aawwww. Interesting is that he stops exactly where he needs to insert an “appa” aka introducing himself but he dares not to and is struggling with how to “name himself” It is a bit of a mixture between being embarrassed in doing this in the first place (given his bg) and also feeling not having the right to call himself the kid’s dad, not yet anyway. Don’t worry buddy, you will get there <3 I adore small character scenes like this, since it is showing he is emotionally dealing with the possibility, however tentatively. But ofc there is so much in his way yet for him truly coming to terms with it, starting and not ending with his own doubts of being capable enough. But more about it later.
Company bs, skiiiiiiiiiiiip. The most important thing about this scene is hellion clowns running into sourgrapes AT LAST. I have been waiting for it, and she also IMMEDIATELY dislikes JH, not trusting him one bit. That is my bitter, critical guuuuurl how I like her. Now I just need her to remember where she met him aka him causing a ruckus in the lobby to meet blunderbarbie and it will uncover their affair. Also pls yd I know you (both) have pregnancy brain, but try to remember the cake initials too with how much these demons stick together soon, yeah? Voting day for the election at old school and YD ambushes her mom bc she misses her haha. They talk things out and while competitive, they all keep it civil with each other. It is cute how this looks like a family outing with her new fave granddaughter, more than election day. But of course in the end Bong Nim wins as predicted by her favorite son in law (and the only one, and not even real one, whoops) TK gonna be happy haha. It is nice how these scenes bring them all a bit more together tho. Seems Jangho is happy too that BN won. They are so cute even if their relationship will set the family tree on fire, but tbf it was already crooked to begin with xD
Inok is preparing meals for the most uncomfortable dinner incoming, but of course Taekyung is fully unaware of it yet. Welp. “We have guests tonight;” inok tells him and we all can take a wild guess who is taking their skeleton ponies from the depth of the nether world to arrive to feast, yeeeeeeah. His mom also informs him that YD is with granny and we see that it is to console her from losing the election. As much I hated the old shrew, it is too cute how happy she is with YD praising her efforts and advances made with hangul. YD has her already fully wrapped around her fingers and it is so great to see the difference between them compared to the beginning. Especially bc it helps TK to have less to tiptoe around her too. Gran dislikes the thought of YD AND TK helping her jointly learn tho hahaha. How comfortable TK is in going into granny’s room and plopping down next to wifey tho, no longer caring if gran permits it or not hahaahah Oh gosh, and he wears his teasing face again, that particular expression when you just know he will needle her And he does, hahaah after she accused him of being glad that BN won lol lol lol.
Of course the guests from hell arriving interrupt the amusement. If inok knew… she would kick them out hehehe I like how granny looks at JH as tho he is full of shit, which he is hahaha. YD is especially unsettled, but TK does reassure her not to worry and takes her hand, more so when these two bastards follow them out. In a fate worse than death he is forced to stick around to drink with the men and his father is really the most oblivious person ever. I cant. TK takes it like a champ and self-sacrifices him so that at least YD can escape. Without CM present I think TK would have already murdered this bastard tho haha.
Back in the annex YD is ready to defend hubby like the queen she is, but is held back by TK’s words in her mind to not worry/be anxious he is gonna deal with it. TEAMWORK hell yeah. I love how she is like "Jinjja, i trust him.” because it is TK <3 Meanwhile, not TK one shotting his drink with eyes wide open glaring at trashboi, while the brainless part of his family does not notice anything of the giant tension between them. Great. Asshole bro gives them both tickets for an art expo so they are bound to meet again at the end of the eps I bet. TK also not so politely asks him to leave but JH’s bullshitting about how all is forgiven and forgotten act has just started but TK being the only one with a working brain in this room, does of course not buy this absolute NONSENSE. If I understand it correctly trash racoon tells him that he wants to make peace as he is now a partner of NX group so they will see each other more often and he wants to apologize for implying TK is not the father and blah blah blah. Honestly I would have ripped TK’s arm off if he would have taken that filthy hand. But our doc is smarter than that, of course, thankfully. And unfortunately looks cannot kill or pissbaby would be more than six feet under now hahaha. He also tells YD to NOT TRUST ANYTHING JH or manic mooncalf are telling her as they are always together and that is sus in itself.
We are going to skip these hogwash roadkill hogs but the grandeur of delusion about how it would break them up if they just make them uncomfortable is just wow. They are so fekkin stupid I cant.
More importantly they are just a mere plot device. The whole thing/making them feel insecure with JH prancing especially in front of TK's eyes does force TK to think seriously about fatherhood and if he would be able to do it far quicker than he normally would tho. Which we see in the next scene as TK sits alone in the room and recalls the title JH used with him “Father of Jinjja.” He repeats it a couple of times out loud but can’t get used to the sound of it yet as he adds “that sounds/feels so weird. Why?” That is another great small character scene that shows the progress of him dealing with the possibility somewhat but can’t get used to it yet. How could he even with JH prancing around them, YD threatening to leave and his own doubts given his prior beliefs if he would be capable even to care for and be responsible for this child not being his which try as he might does factor in here, and is a process he gotta make on his own. I don’t think it matters as much to him that he is not the bio dad than it does that JH is around as a constant reminder how this bastard could take away all of that in a flash again, should TK want and be ready to take on that role of raising Jinjja. And so TK has not the luxury to let his guard down one bit, but as said it also pushes him to be confronted with all these fears, doubts EARLY ON and deep down the “what could be-s” of fatherhood. Which is a needed process to make, if he wants to have any future with YD of course.
How cute is granny practicing hangul more than I have ever done (I really should tho lol) but of course doing so late at night, she falls asleep and SJ does find her practice papers with hangul letters the next morning in her room. It is no other than TK himself who saves her from being found out by the biggest gossip girl since he tells her that it those are sheets for the kids. I LOVE HOW QUICK ON HIS FEET HE IS AWWW. But granny is her asshole self and just throws him out without a thanks. Oh time for wifey to lecture her hahaha. SJ is embarrassed about the situation asking if YD knew about it but thankfully YD is relatively quick in not only calming her down but also putting it together. Meanwhile TK is rightfully upset that she does not thank him. Like he is super friendly to her all things considered but she is still an asshole toward him, no wonder he does not bother with her normally. Fortunately, YD hears it all and takes the teacher approach with this adult toddler caught in her sad feelings lol “You should thank him, he saved you from being discovered you know? It won’t kill you to say this. I am telling you this as your teacher. Just tell him you are thankful at dinner tonight, okay?” she is still grumpy but since her now new favorite grandchild told her so, she has no other choice lol.

As for the preview it has TK apologizing for being so distant before bc he felt so insecure and anxious (about JH) and YES MY GREEN FLAG KING OF OPEN COMMUNICATION is back. I stan, while he is hugging YD. I dislike how they make the preview look like YD meaning trashboi with "there is someone who should hear your voice" since in the next scene we have her sitting in this fuckboi's car WHAT THE HELL YD???? and him asking if jinjja is well. Ugh fuck off. We are gonna delve deeper into TK's doubts and insecurities regarding fatherhood which is what i am here for. Also YM and DW meeting up, and i like YM's take on it... as long we want we can meet up. The only thing i hate outside of trashboi trying to make a move (and failing) is the poor boy saying "I wish you were my dad" and we all know it won't happen, sadly. I hate seeing him get hurt with how attached he already is to HW 😭
You can expect TK to voice doubts about becoming a father toward DS tomorrow i think and probably also that anon rumor about TK not being Jinjja's father being posted on the company website, maybe as ending of the episode. Which will lead to chairman losing even his one braincell and go all hypocritical "BREAK UP" on the leads due to mere hearsay/ and finding out the truth... maybe thru TK fessing up idk. But that i think will happen next week, most likely. TK will remain steadfast all the way through so don't worry about that tho. Again, i like the pace of it, since it is just one more week now till we get to the turning point of the story. (30/31) Yay.
The complicated relationship of the four people looms over them as they meet at an art museum, trashboi and delulu dishrag use it (their fake relationship) to lower YD/TK's guard against them. Nomination? idk what is meant here so you lose me here. And depends what is meant with feeling strange when TK sees YD talking with Jinjja. Is he feeling proud, embarrassed, feeling a connection, worried about the possibility of being a dad maybe, anxious not to be in the picture since she intents to leave? Conflicted since he does feel a connection but should not given all things? So many interpretations possible here hehe.
But i guess TK's "am i going to be a dad and will i be able to do this?" arc has started with all the up and downs. Which is a needed process if he seriously wants to consider a future with YD. I think we see him voicing his doubts about fatherhood tomorrow toward DS first and foremost, amped up by trashman circling around them.
So there is definitely a process of him dealing with it going on now, which i am all here for heh.
