AJH is such a cutie in here. His character is more on the immature side yes, but he is playing that with a puppy-like quality, especially the scenes where he is in love. And the amount of face journeys he makes during the drama lmao, he is so expressive, bless. Imo, he is impossible to hate even when the character has his petty moments. I am super frustrated with the FL by now (eps 12) for various reasons, one major of it is how much of an asshole she is way too often to ML (that hot/cold attitude), her complete lack of any communication with him, acting like a literal child throwing a fit bc he can't mindread her thoughts and feelings, and her noble and literal idiocy (thick and oblivious.) Not much is going on in that little head of hers and it shows all too clearly way too often, lol. Her brothers are cool but i am not a fan of the whole trauma dump side-story with their parents. The tonal shift between angst and pure, silly comedy is too discordant and those parts do not gel well together. It would have worked better as a pure silly romcom with lesser episodes, imo.

@evilord Hope you enjoy. Just remember when they treat each other like strangers (before dating for real around eps 22) at times it is because they basically are. All events take place in the matter of a month at most due to day to day storytelling. So what will feel like slow burn to you is actually quite a 'fast romance' between them in the story, heh. So have patience 😉

I love the leads and their dynamic. They have not searched and yet found each other, are exactly what the other person needs. They go through up and downs but overall they support and defend each other, communicate well (with some hiccups) are honest to each other and cute af. Don't expect a blazing chemistry tho it is more a warm, comfortable, adorable one like of a long time married couple. In matters of a few weeks they get to know and understand each other better than any of their family members do. (which tbf ain't hard with the dysfunctional gong fam lol) They are not perfect but they are always trying their best for each other and conflicts between the two are cleared up quickly 🥰

No sls unless you want to ship FL with her scumbag of an ex who two-timed her with an affair for weeks and then when found out dumped her. 🙈🤮

Also I watched the beginning episodes now and oh boi if you cannot tolerate normal flawed characters at their worst in the beginning here, you better not try another family drama tbh. Bc I don't even feel they are this bad to begin with.

Yeah, like Jinjja's paternity is made out to be the biggest secret, but in truth it ain't that big of a deal. Especially since gong fam has started to become accepting of YD and they both love each other for real (pun intended) now. Sure will need some time to digest for his parents but once that is done there is nothing in the way of the leads anymore, nor can it be used against them. So a reveal is actually positive in the end.

Since, doing the math, that affair did not just come to be yesterday. It was going on for a couple of weeks already and Jinjja came to be on their 300th day together. They were close to the one year anniversary when YD caught him cheating. What a complete trash of a human.

basically, from what i understood when TK is legally married to YD, before jinjja is born, it is automatically assumed to be his kid at birth as her husband. He also can claim the kid as his own by verbal affirmation (involving a written form as well, i think) and both are legally binding making him the legal father. Any dispute about it has to be taken to court and lol trashman would never.

The part that is important is she raised TK as single mother, bc this is why she is instantly sympathizing with YD upon meeting her. Maybe the CM turns out being TK's bio father after all. At this point there are too many wildcards still, lol.

LA, as i said before, if you want a similar dynamic to the TRHC leads the secondary couple in Five Enough will make you happy. They are the cutest. This is generally a family drama that makes you smile a lot and rage very little. Main leads are also smart mature people with each having already a fam on their own (one divorced one lost their partner thru sickness yrs ago) so there is not much unnecessary wangsting going on. FL is too self-sacrificial at times but ML is really balancing it out well with his calmness and steadfastness, and they learn from each other. The only drama comes from the parents, disapproval and other inner conflicts, not from scheming villains.

Once Again i cannot say much to yet outside of it having a promising start and it is generally seen, like FE as a chill family drama that really focuses on the characters and their growth without scheming villains. Dunno about my father is strange but i heard good things!

Oh no prob, thanks for writing it out. hmm i do remember that technicality of marriage in sk with ceremony and registering being two different things, but i still doubt it is as easily searchable online there for everyone to see. Would be a privacy issue imo. I don't think the writer is going there either, especially seeing how JH grows tired of delulu dingo long before that lol. Plus TK gonna be in a rush to register their marriage for real (pun intended) after the secrets are all out in the open, as it gives him much needed security. Not only in regards of YD but in regard of their kid too, legally.

i do not know the details, because i do not live in SK, nor am part of the confucian culture. So i cannot tell you anymore than what i gleaned from articles, general SK culture things learned during language study, youtube vids (english teachers recounting their experience of teaching in SK) etc bc i don't have any lived experience of how life is there, and would not want to overstep boundaries, sorry. i bet you can find answers to some of the things with a google search or similar.

Imo well worth it thus far. Leads are adorable af, support each other etc when they communicate well, which thankfully we are now back at after a brief phase of miscommunication. The writer (team) is not going the most beaten path, nor taken the most predictable way. Even if it may look like it for a while, he is rather fond of throwing some curveballs and resolving conflicts quickly instead to drag them out over several episodes. Sometimes i feel the pace is even too quick, as relationships etc don't have time to really take root until they are tested under a new "crisis" but oh well that is much better than watching them squirm with ten episodes of miscommunication tbh haha.

Yeah that adds to it. Tbh, YLAG is rather infamous for being shitty in various aggravating ways, so i am not sure if i would want to watch a(nother) project of this writer.
