Tbh, this would be just a waste of valuable screen time better used for other non-trash characters. Especially…
Oh i know, but tbh Roy Kim is ML in all but name (and maybe screentime atm) He gets all the cool positive scenes that show how much better he is than trash husband, often even directly compared with him and coming out on top. (that running scene unf 😏) And i am not complaining hehehe 😏
Ep.7: LMAO.. this episode was so funny.. can't imagine how many embarrassing things that happened to FL in one…
i mean he hasn't run for the hills yet but is oddly charmed by her instead. Which means she has to marry this man, stats, haha. I really love their dynamic, it has a true partner in crime feel to it with the way they see each other at the worst/helping each other out. Like they basically skip the cautious, testing the waters beginning stage of a relationship straight to longterm best friends status, while also getting to know each other atm, if you know what i mean 😂
Anyone noticed that Dr. Cutie only asked her to become friends after he had the confirmation of pos husband cheating? That meant he held back/his distance before due to her being married but now all the gloves come off, literally. The many ways Roy hates the pos husband and his rivalry with him is one of favorite bits haha. (although it is not even a competition, that running/comparison scene between them, dear lord 🤩)
Not a fan of the best friend being interested in him thing, but I also can't blame her haha. She does not stand a chance tho as he obviously is only interested in Cha (him calling her noona was so cute haha) Also her friend put that thought in her head to the point where JS starts dreaming of him, so it is all good hehe. I'm kinda sure by now that we not only will see a divorce from her pos husband, but also a romance between her and Roy, which is developing at an appropriate pace. With how the narrative presents the sack of shit husband in a constant negative and "loser" light (and as a hard contrast to Roy Kim at that), I also see hardly a possibility for redemption by now. Though it remains One Fear™️, of course.
I wonder what Roy is going to tell Cha, because according to preview it was not about the cheating since these two assholes goad him on to do tell Cha about them. I doubt he will be already confessing his feelings for her, because that is too early for the slowburn their romance apparently is. So it is more of a fakeout, but we will get to that part in time. Heh.
Those relatable moments when your brain is an asshole in randomly reminding you of your most embarrassing moments…
Oh and no, unlike others here, i don't see a dissonance in how Soo Hyuk is treating Bora compared to his ex. Bc he is a man more comfortable with actions instead of words. He did all kinds of things for his ex gf too, so it is nothing new. His issue was a mixture of pride/wrong assumptions of them being on the same page, and above all else no communication whatsoever between them. Yikes.
Hence my pity for his ex is very limited, as it only proves that she was as shit in communicating her thoughts/feelings/needs as he was. Or else she would not have tolerated his lack of words of affirmation/ verbal defining/committing for YEARS only to blow up on him via a radio submission, throwing herself a pity party. Instead to, you know, confronting him about it long before it got THIS bad. Takes always two to tango, after all. Either way, the way he talks about it shows he is aware of his shortcomings, and thus will learn from it to do better in his next relationship.
Those relatable moments when your brain is an asshole in randomly reminding you of your most embarrassing moments from 5-14 yrs ago as you go about your day. Or in Bora's case, last night 😂
Soo Hyuk has his work cut out for him (pls give him a raise SJ), but i love how he is oddly charmed by her despite always catching her at/in her worst/most embarrassing moments, hah. Their dynamic is like a 10 yrs of marriage speedrun, bc he has already seen it all before even starting to seriously dating her haahahaha.
I agree with you, I felt sorry for the mistress when they revealed that she was the first woman he cheated on,…
I beg to differ. Belittling, gaslighting/manipulating, lying, negligence/completely ignoring her as tho she is not even in the room, criticizing everything, dismissiveness etc like this sack of shit husband is doing constantly with FL goes way beyond a "mere" bad relationship and are forms of emotional abuse.
maybe start it in August so you have lots of episodes to enjoy though?
It depends on your personal viewing habits ofc, but i for my part would not wait that long to start watching if you interested in it. Because by then the amount of episodes can seem intimidating/overwhelming. End of June would be a better point to start, since we are then kinda halfway through and it is still a lot of eps to binge till you reach the most recent ones :D
Dr Cha reminded me of a song by Billy Joel, She always a woman 'She is frequently kind and she's suddenly cruelBut…
"They are silently flirting and it's okay because he's way better looking than the husband. Double standard eh."
Nah i ship them because Jung Sook deserves much MUCH MUUUUUCH better than a gaslighting emotionally abusive sack of shit who has cheated on her for 20+ years, and someone who wants to keep her small and obedient at home, despite hating her guts because it allows him to live his double life comfortably. She deserves better than someone who couldn't even be bothered to help her when she was critically ill, because he is an egoistic psychopath/narcissist only fixated on his own pleasure and achievements.
In light of all that is quite ridiculous to accuse people here of having "double standards just because SML is pretty." In fact she should have left this human garbage a long time ago and it is overdue not only that she does so but also that she finds her own happiness with another partner/on her own. (And Roy Kim embodies all of it.) Easy as.
Catching up and I love how genuinely proud Jeong Min was of his mother at the end of episode 5. He is really the only one from her rotten family who is not an egoistical asshole and cares for her. Such a good egg (he has a bad taste in women tho lol)
Also love the little telltale signs of dr. cutie caring for JS far beyond of her being his hospital colleague. The actor did a good good job with his microexpressions to show how worried he was about her after her (not so) minor accident, aww.
Oh,, gong tae kyung's step-father will leave the show and will be replaced by another actor, start from ep 17.
Oh that is a pity. Always weird for us viewers when this happens mid-story. Because suddenly there is a fully different looking person and the characters act as if they have been there forever, lol. Gives me a bit of whiplash tbh
it is my favorite kdrama trashbin atm, and i love to rifle through it like a racoon at night😂
Joke aside... the leads are lovely and their glacial slow burn romance bears promise for later, but it does have a high amount of asshole characters atm. Better have a pillow ready to scream into it whenever joseon granny or goldi golddigger are on screen. And earplugs when SFL's mother is 😂 It is oddly addictive to watch tho and has a good pace thus far.
