It was the princess' earnest wish and prayer to the mirror thingie (forgot its name) which made the miracle happen. As she said his purpose was not to atone but to live and to love, hence why we get a happy ending with some detours taken and him sent back to the modern version of herself for the most fluffy conclusion of a kdrama ever, haha.

The story really flows well and at no time was i feeling bored, as it should be. I cackled when they tried to out-korean each other in bowing more deeply than the other in apology. I feel FL is the chaos and company ML desperately needs in his life. I was so sorry for him when all the ppl talked smack about him behind his back and his ensuing "i don't need anyone. Meeting people is just a waste of time" is definitely a coping mechanism/way to deal with his loneliness. Poor guy.

Loved it from start to finish. TFM has one of the most satisfying fluffy/happy endings i have seen since From Now On Showtime (also an underappreciated drama btw)

I actually like that she treats him as she would anyone close to her and not like as a person that needs to be treated delicately 24/7 due to his disability. Also when needed she adjusts herself to meet his needs, but overall their sibling dynamic is refreshingly normal.

the law part is minimal tho, the focus is waaaaay more on their relationship/characters, romance and humor. The client's cases serve mostly for the leads to find something to relate in or reflect about (in their past)

Hah, I know GQ was in on it and knew that Sorang is the real Ye Hyeon Soo. SR’s sass toward her fakeass sister, lmao. I love how very unimpressed and not surprised Pops is while HY at his side is like O_O when Sorang ascended the steps.

“Hyeon Soo is the one who sincerely loves his highness and this is why she should be with him.” This whole scene and Hwayoon’s eloquence during it is so good. In another universe she would be the perfect queen honestly. but she will be perfect for SW in this one. I love her sm, she does not need the crown to be a queen, proven once more.

Yeeeees, slay Sorang, slaaaay. She perfectly delivers them their “And it was in this moment, they knew they fucked up” moment and I am so here for this. Worst father in Joseon award definitely goes to this guy, believing everything EBM has fed him. She is like Grima Wormtongue, whispering in his ear and poisoning his mind, even now. The desperation she shows after being such a smug unbearable asshole the whole time is such a joy to behold. Yeah EBM has slowly poisoned him to keep him in check and feeble-minded, no wonder he looks ill, SR. Pops is like “told ya” once more as SR’s father does the bare minimum in telling the truth. And the other truth about the assassination and kidnapping plots is now out too with EBM going doooown. Hell yeah. Sleeping Pill Minister is like “I don’t know her, never saw her.” lmao. Oh if you think you are getting away, you are wrong. Sorang’s father is led away by the guards too and I guess this is the end of bad news now at last.

Whooo a full on kingly proposal in front of everyone, nice. “Will you be my queen?” Hell yeah, at last. This has me smiling so much. The reaction of the people to the royal couple hugging is perfection. Same here, same. Marriage ban is over and now it is party time, even the guards are dancing lol. These scenes are pure endorphine, so good. Such a perfect, well deserved payoff at the end. HY uses it well to propose to Do Seok, how cute. It even gets whooping cheers from the future queen and GQ ‘s applause, haha. People will be very busy now with marriage and… ahem spreading love for the foreseeable future xD

Sleeping pill guy appears as a mood downer, hinking he is the one that got away and plotting new murder. I don’t think so. Ooooh I get it now, the kidnapper dude made a deal with heon’s side and was thus saved from a certain death in prison. In exchange leading them to SP’s house. Lol Shinwon loves his grand entrance, not as much as heon of course. The Bois™ are with them too, yay. Hahahaha, that guy really thinks Heon came only with three other men and he gets an one-one duel with the king when all the guards are sworn to protect him from harm. And just as thought there they are, archers all around as well who turn evil sleeping pill into a porcupine before even reaching heon. It is the most beautiful thing, especially that the killing blow is from Heon. Poetic, sweet justice. Kneel down to your king, bitch. Even so, Heon did not like taking a life, as it should be. What a sweet man, throwing away his sword. It is now done and the CP got her justice and honor back.

Sorang is finally in suitable attire, and they once more kill me with their cuteness. I guess they will always meet there now? Love tent indeed. I knew shinwon told Heon about Sorang’s real name and status tho, this is why he was chilling in the background during the selection, silently cheering for his bae and queen haha. And yeah all my frustrations before aside, Grand Queen really came through for them in the end. Aww he wants to continue calling her Sorang-a <3 and Sorang-a wants something else from him tho, hahahaa. The way she points to the bed behind them in the tent. I will never get over how beautiful the joseon royal wedding dress is/was, really stunning. All the more to see Sorang or rather Ye Hyeon So in it. Aww her real family indeed. Pops knew all the spoilers from the very start. I bet he is not a fun person to watch a movie with, he already knows how it ends lmao. “Are the clothes heavy?” Omg, since Mr. Queen I know how many LAYERS are to that dress as well, it is mind boggling. They skimped out on a full on wedding ceremony like Mr. Queen showed it for very obvious budget reasons, but the scene is still done well and satisfyingly… to see her go through the door and come out of it as a Queen. Hell yeah.

What a beautiful cinematography of Queen YHS in the snow and Heon together, awww. So pretteh. ALL HAIL OUR KING AND QUEEN WHOOOO. And she is, as predicted early on, totally ruling the palace with Heon wrapped around her finger. Maternity leave, how very modern and great. And thus this fictional Joseon has managed to do what a lot of countries still lack to this day. All in a day’s work, queen sorang. And paternity leave as well? Woah. Also this is the most harmonious depiction of the palace I have seen in a historical drama tbh.

Gosh this dork. He is so shaken by the servant collapsing after returning to work too soon after childbirth that he does not want his queen to become pregnant. Well newsflash, if someone needs children, hence an heir it is you, heon. Lmao. Aaaand they sleep under separate covers, holding hands only, much to her frustration xD Good for her that she can convince him after all. Yes Sorang, get your maaaaan, royal heir making time at last. Oh Heon is so busy with ruling the country too, but the palace is such a happy place now. Woah love to see it. Ooooh well this will surely help Shinwon and HY to find each other, lifting the marriage ban for the women partaking in the selection. Hwayoon cutie is catching the chicken herself, which only goes to show how she is not your usual prim noble lady. Perfect match for SW tbh and their scene together makes me lament that it took so long for them to meet. But oh well. They are the cutest. Did king and queen just made a chicken coop by themselves? Good for them to have hobbies haha.

The most awkward blind date turns out well after all thanks to Pops' magical foresight and he gets his own match as well. We get a gay couple after all which justifies now the lgbtq+ tag on this drama heh. I love this version of joseon so very progressive.

This is one hell of a mansion eunuch cutie has here whoa. Aaaand I was about to ask where all these children come from or when they grew up but they are adopted awww and he happily married with Lady Woo. Aaaand more marriages and happy moments. This drama has really the best and most satisfying closure i have seen since From Now On Showtime.

The era of marriage, heh. “How about you both get together? You know I can fill you in on the details.” Lmao pops, and I bet the soelo guys did not find anyone because they actually like each other. LOOK AT THESE ROYAL CUTIES casually strolling through the market place like on a date awww. I see the bois™ in the background as their bodyguards and… an unfortunate extra that slipped on snow and fell. Ouch. Be sure to SORANGHA, the queen says as she kisses her hubby. Awww, indeed. And all the portrays that DS is creating of all the couples and lovable characters in the ending scene <3. What a wonderful ending to a wonderful drama all the way through. Yeah it is such a shame we wasted so much time on the love triangle bs instead to introduce Hwayoon earlier and let them be happy together. They are so cute and much more suited for each other than SR and him ever could be. I love her fiery attitude and adventurous mind, perfect match for Shinwon, tbh.

You are welcome. Yeah FNOS sadly went underappreciated and overlooked when it aired last year. MBC was super shit in promoting it and it had an unfortunate late-night timeslot too. It really deserves more love because is so good and one of my all time faves by now. So i hope kkokdu will bring me similar joy as there are only a handful of good supernatural/fantasy kdramas tbh.

This feels like the closest i can get to From Now On Showtime (with a bit of Doom At Your Service mixed in 😁) Even more excited after watching this long trailer. this is totally my jam. I am happy MBC does not fail to promote it like it did with FNOS back in 2022. Hope it does well, KJH deserves it.

To point 6: There is never a breakup tbh. it is more like forced separation for a short time due to circumstances outside of their control/palace politics scheming. They never expressed the wish to split or stop being involved with each other. Their feelings for each other never changes negatively. Quite the opposite imo, as the opposition and obstacles just made the bond between them, and their understanding for each other even stronger.
