I don't think the story is that simple, I am curious about the "cheating story" of the ML. In the 2nd episode,…
Not to mention that ML teared up during his words, so yeah there is definitely more to it than what meets the eye. I mean the drama does need this sort of hook and little mystery to keep viewers guessing and watching, after all heh
The friend is making enough to take care of the college kid. But the same problem might surface again. I wonder…
I think he already does. The way he stared out of the car window when she told him she has a dinner date with his friend, was one of a man contemplating his (wrong) life choices haha. (as said before we have yet to see his pov, but I cannot help to feel a lot of how he acts is just a boisterous facade)
I think itβs cute and the dialogue and chemistry is good but I really donβt know how Iβm going to ever root…
Tbf, we are lacking a look into his head and pov thus far. All we have are his boisterous words and a lot of show, but imo JSJ does a good job with small gestures and microexpressions to show that his character is not as unbothered about it all as he *wants* to appear. EB really knows how to push her buttons tho, true, and i get her frustrations about it all too well too. But that is part of the journey and character development that needs to happen for any chance of romantic reconciliation to take place :)
That car scene tho, *both* felt that. I mean *I* felt that too, whoooo. I like how the drama hones in on their lingering feelings ( hope we see more from Eun Beom's pov soon tho) and makes the direction clear it will go in the end, but also that it won't be far from being easy getting there. Really a good mixture of chaotic/humorous and serious scenes with aπ₯ chemistry between the leads.
Their client's cases also always has something they can find themselves in too or what makes them reflect on matters, which is a popular but always good narrative technique, as it ties in the cases quite well into the personal experiences of the leads and the overall story.
i think the rating dip is the usual MDL quirkiness that seems to happen with every newly airing drama for whatever reason. It will even out after a week or two again.
Also if i would look like FL when i am fifty i would be blessed af. She definitely looks a lot younger. But above anything else it is her acting what counts so stop being lookism/ageism/misogynistic clowns yall, ugh.
I don't understand why there's a second season of this XD
Because it tells the second part of the book the drama is based on, easy as :) Both parts had been filmed nearly simultaneously tho, they just are airing at different points in time (i.e. now)
I mean i don't disagree with your sentiment, as it is very often the case in reality. But you are setting yourself up for disappointment then, here. From episode one the drama made sure to mention how there are still lingering feelings between them (the whole hate/love dichotomy) and FL's search for happiness and deep sadness about his supposed betrayal. So it is more about how it ended and why, not the lack of emotions for each other.
But of course both are flawed people and have to go thru growth in order to not repeat the same mistakes. Which, well is the whole point of this romcom and it is 100% about them finding back together as individually better people/selves. Like in Familiar wife or Go Back Couple as well, just more lighthearted here. (Tbh, the trailer alone should have clued you in what it is aboutπ)
ok, that dumb idiot deserved to be knifed at the end of ep 1.
I mean from his pov it is just practical thinking (possible no more alimony to pay) but i also support the knife idea given how he was "surprise" and blindsided her about it, haha
"SURPRISE !!" π€£Ep1 was good, nice pacing, the hour flew by without me checking my phone. Hopefully the writer…
Oh i doubt that because BOTH leads have a lotta soul-searching and growth left to do before they can get back together AND be happy tbh. As it should be, bc otherwise it would be boring as hell haha.
His "surprise" with the infliction of his voice and gestures, omg, cracked me up so much. As did her reaction, ngl π We are in for a chaotic ride and the 12 eps format is promising also no needless dragging, yay.
I think arranging a blind date for your ex is crazy on another level. He already she's super crazy why was he…
I knoooow which is why it is so hilarious to me. I mean, he *was* married to her, so he is probably used to tickling the bear or rather to "fuck around and find out." He has reached the find out part now of it, which will be amusing, hahaahhaa
Also arranging a blind date for her is just practical thinking since he doesn't want to pay alimony forever (which given his financial situation would be hard either way.) Hence I am rather amused than offended about that tbh π Can't say he does not deserve that last reaction of hers before the credits roll, tho.
I was just thinking this, there's no way they'd have him actually cheat and expect us to root for them.
Yeeeep, exactly. You only write a (n actually) cheating character into a kdrama if you want the viewers and knetz to hate them. As said it is one of the most irredeemable things a character can do in a kdrama. Thus from a writing pov, to let your own ML doing that, whom you plan to bring back together with the same FL "he oh- so cheated on" would be equal to bury your own romance drama six-feet under before it had even started π
Heh, he is not my fave but i like him well enough (the actor is also an industry veteran) But yeah, comedy is always subjective hit or miss, tbh. I love a lot of these characters and magic factory family is best (found ghost) family. FNOS is such a comfort drama by now for me to which i always return for an episode or two, ngl. Its story is nothing groundbreaking or new, but imo it is executed in such a good way that the genre mix/tonal shifts never feel jarring, and it is just fun to spend time with these lovable, chaotic characters. Glad you enjoy it so far :)
Lmao, i took a glance at it and one user in particular was continuously clutching their pearls at the "premarital…
Yeeeeah you don't have to tell ME that, lmao. They were also arguing that Sorang was "forced to sleep with him", because "can't say no to a king/use her for an heir" when it was clearly consensual and she the one initiating even.
Everyone who thinks the writer made ML a cheater that is still getting back together with FL must be new to kdrama. Or think this is a makjang revenge drama where cheating is condoned/part of their personalities ππ
Like, it is one of the irredeemable deathly sins in kdrama, so i doubt you will find that ML actually did this, and instead it is going to be a red herring for something else that will be revealed as the plot and their past unravels.

This is gonna be wonderfully chaotic xD
Tldr: Yeah, not gonna happen, lol.
Completely unhinged.πππ
