Whether being tired is enough or not, he could've sat her down and had a proper decent conversation with her instead…
I advise you to scroll a bit further down and read the post of "Mihnn" who has worked irl as divorce lawyer, to see what it takes/how difficult it is to get a divorce in asian countries.
Lol 🤣🤣" no touch couple" aka mr queen is also my fav drama and you have so many things similar to me i also…
Yay. High five for your good taste then😁 I recently rewatched a couple of episodes of mr. queen and it still holds strong as my absolute fave, even if i have watched/finished nearly 150 kdramas by now. By now i try to branch out to thrillers etc from time to time but yeah my main kdrama staple are still romance shows. Best if it is "packed" into such a genre mix like mr. queen/FNOS or healing dramas like Thirty But Seventeen/MIHY/Just Between Lovers etc, since most "pure" romcoms tend to bore me after a while. But yeah life is indeed hard enough to only watch heavy/sad dramas, i need some fluff and light things instead.
im not attached with Ha Ra fling/bf... but I keep thinking they make him a gentleman/too good to be true guy then…
If the preview is to be believed he seems either quite the mommy boy or is going way too fast in wanting to introduce hara to his mother. Maybe it is both lol, but tbh all the characters are flawed so it is about time SML stops being so boringly perfect. It is far too one dimensional
I had a client once. She did all household chores and child rearing because her husband would be exactly like…
Thank you for your insight from a professional perspective. I feel this helps people to understand how difficult divorce laws are in Asian countries. (Tho the drama did make a good job with somewhat explaining it, especially in eps 2/second case, but a lotta people seem to have missed these details)
I'm almost done and I think it's worth sticking to. It's good, but I don't really agree with it being 'amazing'…
I honestly lost motivation to continue watching it after eps 5 so i ended up dropping it. I think being "forced" to watch it now due to it being taken off netflix very soon when i am not actually in the mood for this kind of drama atm, contributed to me not liking it. Maybe it is not for me in general as the humor was... weird in general and so was that romance between ML and the girl he saw growing up. Yikes. I may pick it back up in the future perhaps but for now i am moving on, I am glad you enjoyed it tho :)
whew this comment section is on fire I didn’t even know this many people were watching this drama no one talks…
Ngl, twitter is not the best platform for kdrama. As it is only ever interested in the kdrama that is hot and trending at the moment, nothing else. So you see thousand tweets of the current popular thing which drowns out all the other shows that are also airing. So if you happen to not like the popular drama of the week(s) you are damn out of luck.
But I prefer this to time travel series to fix relationships. Forcing them to deal with the fallout and consequences,…
Same here. They have to reflect on their mistakes and behavior while navigating seeing each other etc with the same amount of knowledge about their failures. Instead of just one party doing so and growing from it. More realistic this way
Started off so good till around eps 12 or so and then begun to ran in circles narratively. Aka: Psycho dad does/says evil shit, and inexplicably possesses so much freedom to do whatever tf he wants in jail despite being a serial killer, psychopath and death row candidate for 12 years. Psycho reporter says evil shit and has no life other than obsessing over the leads. FL somehow gets in danger, gets saved by ML, then tells him to stop feeling sorry and he apologizes. They stare at each other, teary-eyed for around one to five minutes. Optional flashback to their teenage years is playing.
Psycho brother does evil shit but that is okay somehow because he has a bad, hard childhood or something, so the show tries hard to manipulate you into feeling sympathy for this violent garbage man. No one calls the cops when needed and instead they try to reason with the attacker themselves, bc the culprit is family and thus "just misunderstood." Rinse and repeat, especially the long stares of the leads after FL was once more in danger and they cry. At episode 19 rn it is really dragging its feet and i feel the great need to either put it on hold or at the very least ffw thru a majority of it.
The point is, even if he loves children, it was really a bad idea to bring a child into their already very suffocating…
Exactly. It would have been a very bad idea to raise a kid in an environment and marriage where matters and balance between them had been askew for so long that discomfort became his daily company due his perpetual compromising w/ his wife. That would have been just grounds leading to resentment sooner or later and unfair to any child born into such a situation.
Also we dont see much of ML emotions so far we see only how FL feels.
True, we have little from his pov. I think the last episode was the first time we heard how he felt (about his marriage) But also, emotions are more subtle with him, but the actor actually does a great job with microexpressions and his expressive eyes to show how his character actually feels (even if he says something wholly different) Gotta pay heed to that and you will see that he is not as unbothered by Hara dating SML like he pretends to be, for example. Heh.
Wow, the comment section is fired up! 😅I don't get why most people think it's ML's fault. Their marriage failed…
I think since they divorced under the pretense of his adultery, he is the party at fault in face of korean law. Hence the alimony to "right his wrongs."
(3 Million won is a looooot tho and more or as much ppl earn as it in SK a month. So lawyer or not it is no surprise he went broke due to that)
FLs friend is annoying (for many reasons including her grating very not cute self hatred about anything to do…
Oh exactly. She strikes me as the kind of friend who is a negative sounding board only, who amplifies FL's selfish/self-absorbed tendencies instead to pull her aside and maybe give her food for thought/a different perspective on things.
Am I the only one who doesn't overanalyze everything and just keeps watching to see how things will play out?
The scriptwriter actually surprised me positively with solving the mystery of the first episodes with a mundane relatable reason instead of you know... the usual big kdrama bs reason lik terminal sickness, debt or something like that. It is way more relatable and "realistic" too. I like to pick things apart (it is a writer's sickness can't help it lol) but i really like this drama as it is (now), since it focuses on very flawed characters and their failings than on some sudden tragedy written in to heighten the dramatic stakes. It leaves so much room for growth regarding the characters and that is the kind of story and approach i want to see with second chance romances tbh.
It's amusing to see ppl joining Team FL or Team ML here in the comments when actually BOTH leads are equally at fault for the failing of their marriage, in whatever different ways.
Because not compromising and only taking without giving back/paying heed to your partner's needs/wishes, as well as not communicating them clearly and not voicing your discomfort/wishes but instead accommodating to your partner every time will wear down *any* relationship in time. No matter how well it started, they both failed to put the work in to create a healthy environment for it to last. (I guess it is lucky that there were no kids involved in this, which is probably the reason ML panicked when the talk steered toward a child/getting pregnant.)
I agree to the post above, he choose a crappy solution, but the topic and whole issue is more complex than just…
Aww, hope it passes relatively quickly in spite of it then. Fighting :D Also avoid this comment section for the time being, lots of unmarked spoilers here
I haven't watched episode 4 yet but did the ML really go through all this trouble because he was tired of being…

This is peak "Verschlimmbessern", as we call it in my country 😂
