The grandmother one in eps 6 really got me as it reminded me of my late halmoni who died pretty sudden over a decade ago. And how nice it would have been to be able to say goodbye like DJ was able to. So that definitely hit differently hahaha...ha π
Made a list with the handful of 2022 dramas i enjoyed personally. Cannot say much about Queen's umbrella as i have yet to watch it tho heh
This is probably going to be one of my favorite 2022 dramas. The first 6 episodes were really beautiful.
It is definitely up there for me as well, along with From Now On Showtime, Crazy Love and Gaus Electronics, yeeeees. Prayer circle for it not going downhill in the second half like so many kdramas latelyπ
Watched 2 episodes so far, but seriously how long will the FL keep yelling and lashing out her anger and disappointment…
Also I rewatched the first two episodes and imo ML holds his ground well against her, like it is not as though he takes her ire without giving contra/telling her it is displaced etc. But there is also definitely a connection between the two from the start as well. Not only FL watching him sleep in the funeral hall but ML also dancing in that bear costume to cheer her up after seeing her alone in the cafe on her birthday. Hell, I forgot he bought her a frikkin cake for her birthday to apologize for spilling her dad's cooked lunch, and it is the sweetest thing. And they show she actually *knows* it is ML since she saw the scar on his arm, as well that the cake comes from him due to the flyer he gave her.
The not believing he is not the son is kinda a running gag between them for a bit, and he proves it to her with his id later on xD
I want to watch this but is hyeri acting good? Is it a good watch?
Both leads do a great job and have a fantastic, effortless chemistry together and their characters progression from bickering strangers to almost but not yet quite lovers feels very natural. Plus if you like dramas like Mystic Pop Up Bar and From Now On Showtime you will feel right at home with its genre mix of comedy, supernatural, romance and some sadness/angst with solid character writing thus far. Definitely a good watch and rather underrated drama.
Filler and in larger parts even a frustrating watch atm as everything moves so damn slowly or even regressed so there is hardly progress with the story. Hence why I have it on hold atm and only watch the comment section with one eye to see if there are changes/developments after all.
Try May I Help You if you are looking for a good airing kdrama with romance though

it is really just in the two beginning episodes where she is not in a good place mentally, and coming to terms with a lot of stuff + breakup of her bf. ML getting her ire is the typical case of "shooting the messenger" and not fair, true but the bad start/impression between them quite quickly makes way for... something more companionable and friendly in the following episodes. Particularly in eps 5 & 6, where it even dips into romance/ML being smitten by her. In general, their progression from "enemies" to not quite lovers (yet) feels natural/not forced and fluent, true to their characters. Just continue watching and you will see what i mean, heh.
I truly hope the love triangle nonsense is now finally over after eps 11 annoyingly dialed it up to eleven once more. (I may throw something at my screen if Sunho STILL continues to follow her around after being rejected... again, ngl.) Tbh, to a point, i get her being somewhat swayed or confused because she is in that age where small acts have a big impact and emotions can be still quite unsteady and you are still busy trying to find yourself, what you want in life.
On the other hand, it was really out of the blue and not well written, like at all. Kinda miss the clear line what concerns her character, where does she go from there outside of being someone's GF? I really hope the drama will be focus more on that for the rest of the episodes.

ah it happens, haha. It will be a while until i plan to watch it tbh, so i will have forgotten most if not all you said about the drama Blind here by then dwπ€£
But that is indeed the kind of drama where you.... wait for it, best go in BLIND *badamtssh* π€£π

Oh yeah haven't seen it but this seems an interesting drama for when i need a break from the romance genre, thanks. Will check it out.
Can highly recommend the current airing "May I Help You" as well. It has comedy, sad/meaningful scenes, warmth, care for its characters, and a cute as heck (budding) romance between the leads, without SML nonsense (at least for now lol)

nah, with that knowledge i have now i will be catching up and hoping the resolution is done in a halfway coherent/satisfactory way. It is like Love in Contrast by far not a well written drama, and like in LIC i am honestly just sticking mainly around for the leads. October/November haven't been exactly the best kdrama months, imo, thus i am already reverting to watching older dramas from my PTW list haha.
WHERE ARE YALL WATCHING IT AT 9?????? IT COMES OUT FOR ME LIKE AT 2 THIRTY WTF
Just clips on twitter thus far, as i wanted to spoil myself by choice to decide if i keep watching. I hope the resolution, effing late as it is, is at least done in a good, halfway satisfactory way. I hate how much the writer dragged out the obvious, ugh.
