I don't know what's the point of canceling it for football matches... So they plan on not airing any drama until…
I think that depends whether or not SK is playing on these days and it overlaps with the drama airtime. And tomorrow i think they have their first group stage match, so that takes prevalence for the network then, Could be wrong because this is the least i have ever been interested in a WC, tbh, lmao. Otherwise it will be business as usual with the airing schedule. But we gotta wait and see, i am afraid.
Is this good? Started watching the first ep but it seems kinda slow, should I give it a chance?
Short answer: Yes. It forms up to be my favorite drama of the year along with From Now On Showtime.
Long Answer: Yes. As i was writing further below.... the writing in MIHY has been consistently good thus far. Very un-drama typical as well (aka not spelling everything out for the viewer in using visual clues and gradual storytelling. Story and its characters is/are (outside the supernatural element) very down to earth, not overly dramatized, feels relatable. Not many kdrama typical tropes or used in a self-aware way (the leads running into each other so often.) Plotseeds are planted nicely and early on and used organically when needed to further story and character development. It never feels jarring or heavy-handed. You get to know the characters/story little by little with small details given, instead of info-dumped about it/them all at once
Most details/hints given you only notice upon rewatching (that satisfying/famous "aha that is why" moment.) Conflicts/misunderstandings, especially between leads, are solved quickly and in a level-headed way through clear communication, instead of dragging them out and to dramatize them.
Its writing structure reminds honestly me more of that in a (good) book than your average drama tbh, but is adapted well to the visual medium at the same time (clues given through dates in documents, photos shown , passerby watching the news on their phone with leads present etc) Really impressed by it thus far, and hope they can keep it up.
As a mom, I was taken aback by a boy going on a camping trip with a stranger too. We start teaching "stranger…
You have to factor in drama logic here since the kid was needed as a catalyst for Taehee opening up about his trauma. Because I doubt SK is a country where you give your kid to every damn stranger and wish it a good time, lol. Tho here it is an after school group of the church so i bet they do excursions with the kids more often... but to take the boy on his own? That is the weird part.tbh, But again, handwave it with drama logic. At least they were in constant contact with the mom, as DJ asking what to do with his loose tooth showed haha.
As if he world cup is not shitty enough without it (and i say this as relatively football loving german) interfering with my kdramas, there will be no May I Help You this week:
Preview says a lot, but people focused on the wrong things or rather took it at face value, when it is taken out of context.
We know Chungha called Vincent and since she is shown with luggage at dime a job i expect her to be like "I am staying over a few days haha" for so far unknown reasons. Which is the source of Dongjoo's frustration shown there as well, understandably so. I expect her to focus more on helping dead clients that episode and leaving Taehee to sort his ex situation out on his own. (since you know there are still 9 clients left after all) CH on her part seems to try to bruteforce her way back to a past that Taehee wants nothing more than to leave behind and forget. (we probably also get more of their past relationship as the hug shown seems to be from a time where they were together) Hence why i think we will see TH putting his foot down as he is heard saying "It is over. We are over." but unlike preview implies it is not said to DJ, which would make no sense at all lol, but to Chungha. Plus we already had him saying "It is all in the past" when DJ asked him about Chungha in eps 8. So yeah, i expect this conflict to be solved in eps 9 and the leads starting dating soon after. We will see tho, but as said so far it has been consistent with its story beats/writing and stayed away from over-dramatization.

Made a forum discussion post with the drama timeline since a lot of people are confused about it, it seems. The most important thing to know however is that the backstory of its plot (the boy, FL's first supernatural encounter etc) does *not* take place three months prior to the drama's current events/timeline, but TWO YEARS earlier, in 2020. More details in the forum post of course, but mind the character spoilers up to eps 8
Dont you feel he's going to be angry at dongjo when he knows his brother's soul is still stuck cause she ran away…
I feel he will be going to find the ring in her apartment after they started dating, which will kick off a fight between them and DJ's coming clean about her encounter with his brother at the funeral parlor. (But ultimately the drama will solve the conflict in its usual mature, head on manner.) Because ultimately, she did nothing wrong (who would not have been scared?) and has tried to reach them thru several means to deliver that ring/fulfill the wish, but it was not possible.
Once again, I was reminded that having a high rating and good reviews does not mean a show is actually great.…
Same here, down to the feeling of it lacking depth and feeling even formulaic (CRY NOW IT IS A SAAAAD SCENE. ARE YOU CRYING YET?) at times. Try the currently airing "May I Help You" , and Mystic Pop Up Bar instead, which have similar themes but imo both better in-depth storytelling.. The gay couple was my favorite story here too (and Lee Je Hoon's acting) but everything else, nah.
Autism differs from person to person. While some have less Difficulties expressing their emotions others have…
Oh, i am aware of that. And i wasn't comparing the characters, but the acting which feels off here (to me) Didn't like much how the actor has handled his role, but he is still young and of course Park Eun Bin is on a different ability level than he is.
i give it the benefit of the doubt because it was only the first episode which is always an introductory one, but gawd was it a drag and took me like double its running time to get through/finish watching it 💀 Too many characters at once, too slow paced, too long to get to the kickoff to the actual plot (getting respawned with max inventory/gold stats/space xD) which honestly is the one part of this drama interesting me. Very makjangish too, comical so even, thus it has a cheap 100 episode family/soap drama feel atm. Hence i will give it another 2 episodes to capture my interest before i ditch it and am moooooving on 🤷♀️
The change was deliberate. I find this better. What’s the need to have another Move To Heaven and Tomorrow.…
Yeah, it is all about balance in a good and well written story, which this drama has. And the focus on Taehee and the incident two years ago over the past two episodes, is a major, personal story that needs to be told to get a better understanding for his character. Why he act how he acts, and in order to be able to process with the romance and his story arc/healing process. One does not happen without the other, nor should it in cohesive storytelling.
I love how effortlessly the different elements of the story/plot flow and intertwine. It never feels heavy-handed and its reveals of details about the characters/its world are handled exceptionally well and organically. Hope the writer keeps this quality up for the remaining episodes. I am positively surprised by it/the depth and meaning found within.
Dunno where people see a love triangle or misunderstandings either with this drama, but okay lol. While we are at it: Please stop taking eps previews seriously/at face value as they are never accurate and taken out of context to make you tune in. Should reeeeally be known by now.

Eeeeeexactly, its core theme is summed up so well in the paragraph. Hell Dongjoo even spells it out as reply to Taehee's question in eps 8 "that it is about the bereaved, the people who (have to) keep on living, not death."
Hence i truly wonder if the people in this thread/on MDL watch the same drama as i do 🙃💀🤣
