Hyoshim, who returns to the resort after meeting Taemin, goes for a walk in the bamboo forest, led by Taeho. Taeho conveys his true feelings and gets closer to Hyoshim. Hyodo has no choice but to return to Taehee's house and asks Taehee, kneeling down, to let him sleep there again. Gaon, who passed the preliminary round of the singing contest, stands on stage in the finals despite the opposition from the adults in Uicheon Villa, and Pro Park returns home earlier than scheduled...

I pretty much agree with everything but hating HS for it because she clearly is held hostage by her writer atp. who is so infatuated by this whole love triangle bs that she does not allow her main character to possess any common sense or issue objections bc the writer has this idea in her head of how this story should go, no matter if it suits the characters or makes any sense whatsoever. Just like her current fave TM with HS. Hence Hyoshim is the puppet on a string of that writer and she said daaaaance and dance HS shall, with no choice not to. So i don't hate her for it, i hate the writer for it and letting HS appear as if she actually wants to participate in this nonsense farce of a love triangle even if it does make zero sense for the story integrity whatsoever. It seems to be a thing of weekender writer lately bc in TRHC happened the same with the leads, if in another form. But it was the same passivity forced by its writer to make the plot the writer stubbornly insisted on happen, dragging the chars yelling and screaming thru it no matter what, sense be dead. And watching it all happen It is like seeing a pig being dressed in a tutu and wearing lipstick, because what happens suits the characters just as much.

i'd say that it is a shame that such a good lead couple is wrapped into so much other nonsense happening, rather. Like the writer gets so much right with their relationship progression, the way Taeho is written, a foil both to HS and his creepy cousin, and how cute and fun their dynamic s together, that it is bewildering how the rest of the show can be such a gigantic, badly paced and obnoxious stinker in all regards.

Yeah mind i do like the story set up and intersection of characters, but NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE WITH IT for 15 eps already, give or take. And it makes me wonder if that writer, veteran of this genre or not, is actually capable of a compelling narrative that does NOT revert to square one after some development happened in order to repeat the whole cycle anew. So big blowout or not, SOMETHING has to happen and that soon or else she is gonna lose the viewers in this snorefest of repeating pattern. More important is that these changes STICK then and get not amnesia-d by the writer in the next episode again as if they never happened. That is just bad writing to pad out airtime then. Anyway, long story short, i do hope, like you, that LYOL can break its circular storytelling curse and does not continue to do the same shit as TRHC for far too long. Running in circles like a headless chicken. (seems to be the curse of the recent weekenders bc older ones are MUCH better in this regard)

atp, we all waiting for the titular thing to happen bc we are halfway thru and almost nothing has chanced which yeeeeeeah. Horrible pacing, the show, right here. Feels like the writer plans to cram everything into the second half instead to develop things gradually bc we can't have nice things. So it is gonna be like TRHC inverted i guess where the first 20 eps were excellent and after that shat the bed so hard it destroyed everything it had built up. Lets see if LYOY goes the other way, mediocre first 20 eps, but better in the second half?

Idk, hope springs eternal i guess. Ironic how the what are supposed to be sunday eps (but now saturday atm) are more filler than the sunday (actually saturday) ones, especially lately. No idea how the airing schedule is around christmas bc SK ain't that big on that holiday tbh, but i think the KBS award show is coming up.

Yeah and it is complete filler, lol. Nothing happened outside of Taeho confessing how he wanted to kiss Hyoshim but did not because she told him to not make moves on her. And how he may do so next time then. It was super effective on HS who was left behind flushed and stunned. We had more mother shrew is an insufferable asshole scenes, Ruby being found out about her bf and me full body cringing more times i could count at the TM /HS scenes the writer keeps forcing on us for unfathomable reasons after this creep forced himself on her. Brainless #1 misses brainless #2 for some reason and that is supposed to be romantic or make you root for their reunion or something when in 22 eps the dude has been more useless than a fly on a heap of dung. This maknae couple is as shit and terribad as the one in TRHC was, ngl. Villa girl is doing a singing contest now and my eyes glazed over during those scenes.

What i hate most about this episode is that HS isn't allowed to say no, bc writer said so and is in love with this farce of a "love triangle" that she keeps it dragging tru the streets like a dead horse behind a tractor. I wish someone would slap the writer with the script over and over again and yell "this is NOT a love triangle stop forcing this creep on HS." I volunteer as a tribute. Taemin remains a creepy asshole who stalks her to the MT location and paints yet another target on HS back since the evil witch found out about her/who HS is. I liked the scenes of Mirim hitting shitgoblin, bc it has not been done enough yet. Sadly she is not allowed to be her own person, aka to exist outside of shitgoblin ugh. Other than that and outside the minute or two of the leads being cute and awkward together and it being OBVIOUS that Hyoshim feels all the feels for TH now, it was an utterly forgettable episode. Tomorrow seems better tho (preview shows a kiss between TH&HS so you just know they will be interrupted at the last moment lmao)

No prob, keep in mind that Welcome to SD has just started airing tho,so there are only 2 eps available on Netflix thus far 😅 (today/tomorrow is 3 and 4)

Yeeeeep. Like, we don't have much of their history yet 2 eps in, but they were even born on the same day and such so yeah definitely grew up together, lol. But more than childhood friends it is about the exes to lovers trope and second chance romance a la Beloved Summer. Try it, i personally love its chill vibe. Has promise to become a really great/wholesome healing drama.

(Also my current profile pic is a scene from that drama, aka how not to greet your ex after 8 yrs lol)

Forgot to answer but the leads romance, while too slow in parts, is done really well imo. Both actors have an easy, natural screen chemistry with each other which makes their gradual progression from bickering dislike to cheeky banter and slowly opening up to each other/attraction believable. Especially Hajun does a great job here, going from cheeky teasing to sincere very quickly and believable. His character is a lot of fun and one of the very few who owns up to their mistakes made in the beginning, and who is actual emotional support for FL. Taeho is also smooth as hell in flirting without being slimy or "car salesman" which 🔥 I love a ML like that. Overall a well rounded character. Observant, clever with a high emotional intelligence and empathy, even if he starts out as a brat 😂. Uee does a good job too, she harmonizes very well with Hajun, no matter if it is going toe to toe in bickering, teasing or being vulnerable around his character as she slowly opens up/catches feels. You feel her emotions.

Everything else BUT the leads will test your patience so much, because it is asshole character galore, so fair warning about that. I am just here for the lead romance atp, but that one is cute af, imo.

oh surely. But if you fail to connect to the characters within, even the highest rated drama is just a drag and very mid tbh, which happened to me with this one. Sometimes it is better to cut your losses and move on instead to force yourself to watch the rest ;)

I dropped it 12 eps in, bc I was bored out of my mind. So never too late for that lol

Try Thirty But Seventeen (Still 17) too if you haven't seen it yet. Older drama but very wholesome. Welcome to Salmdairi (or similar can never remember the spelling of it lol) has a laidback chill healing vibes too ☺️

Nah. It is okay but nothing beyond that, at least for me. Depends how much you are able to connect with the characters ofc. Failing that, it becomes draggy very quickly tbh. Have seen better 'wholesome' shows but comes down to personal taste ofc. 9.2 for this is a doozy tho. (Then again I already was very meh about Move to Heaven so MDL and high rated shows are not things going well together for me lmao)

So ten more eps of that nonsense? Great guess it is time for skip watch the rest then. There is compassion and there is stupidity and ES displays definitely the latter 🙄 Thanks for the heads up tho 😘

Lol, what a circus clown show. Like the delulu cow nearly gets ES fired but she is all "it must been hard for her too. Everyone makes mistakes." GUUUUUUUUUUUUUURL DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF???? LIKE WHEN YOU SPEAK??? This gives me the worst war flashback to TRHC with its artificially angelic leads forgiving everything out of stupidit... errr "the good of their hearts" bc the hack of a writer had developed the biggest raging boner for the second leads, so they were allowed to run circles around the leads who had long since put on their clown costumes and left all brain cells at the door. Now 46 eps in, I foresee a similar development here if it is not already HAPPENING, bc the writer surely has found the furthest corner to write themselves in, woah. So much for "lighthearted chaotic family drama", bc chaotic and the only comedy is here the lead's artificial characterization and their niceness/passivity in order to let the new writer's pet shine and act without any consequences whatsoever. 🤮 🤮 🤮

Also someone PLEASE tell HY and Taemin from LYOL that delulu is NEVER the solulu, i just cant with another creepy, entitled SL asshole of that delusional archtype argh. As i was saying before, someone set these two shitheads up, bc they are perfect for each other

Garam is the most reasonable character in this show and he is a kid 😂
