We had the reveal of what happened in the car accident (sort of? skipped thru this bc not important enough for me to watch w/o subs lol) creepy cousin kinda snapping out of his delusion (FINALLY) and agreeing to a rlship with elitist cow (i think) to protect HS (but hyoshim had to ask him for his help with elitist cow, he did fuckall on his own) Taeho being a sad kicked puppy trying to fix things but running against walls at every side and having terrible timing and time in general in this episode, Mirim still being terrible in acting but it is hilarious if frustrating to dungbeetle (HJ). Hyoshim being once more burdened with shitty, incompetent ppl around her making her life hell w/o fault of her own (but at least this idiot felt sorry doing so) FINALLY FINALLY drawing a line in the sand with her narcissistic shithead of a mother bc TH's words stayed with her. Her realizing she is in love with Taeho and missing him in the best "he fell first but she fell harder" fashion, and him calling her and talking in the most formal way asking to meet up since he bought her a winter coat and "he is waiting at the han river (where they used to meet) for her the whole evening but should she not come he will return to the us bc he has no one in SK that matters anymore/no reason to stay any longer." And waiting he did, what seems for hours until first snow and then HS came. He tearfully said "Hyoshim-i... you are here. My Hyoshim-i came (to me) and hugged her tightly. Then we get a veeeeeeery beautiful kiss scene that was well done from actors and film team both (TRHC could never lol) So yeaaaaah, tides are turning, starting next week, hopefully

Okay saw the raw and I found 24 quite discordant and off but 25 was so much much better. Worthy of a halfway thru the show episode, even. We have officially reached the part that is described in the synopsis, wow 😂 Bc lots of things are moved forward or revealed after nothing happened for 24 eps prior. So i guess the writer/pd waited for the halfway point to actually start the show, lmao. Terrible pacing still even for a weekender, but it promises things being less static and stale now. Lets just hope writer nim doesn't press the reset button on everything YET again.

But now it seems creepy cousin is back to being a petty asshole and opposed to renewing her contract which TH proposed, so this should tell you enough about who is about bettering her life and who is (always) up in his own ass about his (hurt) fee fees. 🙄

but Taeho's effort to protect the woman he loves pays off as we have them committing to each other at the end of today's episode, according to twitter. Fingers crossed we actually get to see some warmhearted scenes instead of only toxic screeching and suffering now, lmao. Also can we finally move past this farce of a love triangle now?

You know I actually thought she would try swindle the girl out of some money to give/promise it to her idiot son without subs, tells you how I think about her. Yeah I actually was shocked that the writer was going to such misogynistic length now, given how we started off with HS chewing out TH for his shitty sexist comment early on in the show. Because this is what it amounts to? All for shock value and in the name of suffer Olympics? Disgusting 🤢 And while they may revise the line or something the true meaning and writers intend behind it has been made more than clear 🤮

In DWY it was more a lack of interest in relationships of any form from his side due his illness and being so focused on work. It was part of his character. And sorry but "party haaaaard" is so not Jang Shinyu in general, illness or not, he was a work nerd lol. Plus of course you have the past life connection trumping everything trope, so yeah 😆 And his love affair with the bloody hand was rather intense if you watch Rowoon's expressions during it haha. FL's crush on SML (hello taeho/hajun lol) was rather harmless and easily explained bc she hadn't had positive attention toward herself before as loner.

Anyway this gets pretty ot now and ymmv but as long it suits the character and is not a stupid/creepy delulu obsession (hello seconds leads) i am fine with any form of attraction displayed or even a lack of it until "meeting the right person" 🤷‍♀️

ML in Destiny with you had very good reason to not date other women before FL due to his (terminal) illness and being a workaholic. Hence the business/arranged relationship with SFL where no feelings were involved that suited him well enough. ML only falling for FL is legit as she is the first woman he developed romantic feelings for. Nothing wrong with that.

As for LYOL, 2ML is the annoying delulu obsessive creep trope which is pathetic, true, but ML attracted to FL is not? We actually dunno if Taeho has dated before but given how smooth he is in flirting and with his charm it is hard to believe he has not. It is actually insinuated that he has, bc he says "Well then i can be your first bf. I am gonna be good to you." toward FL when she confessed her lack of dating to him. FL is the one who has never dated before and who is attracted to ML only, but ofc the writer strings her along like a little plot puppet for this pathetic excuse of a love triangle and thus she ain't allowed to be more firm *bc of the plot*. 😒 I hate this as much as anyone else, but ML falling for FL is not pathetic. SML's delusion is however lol.

oh damn this takes me waaaaay back lol. I was such a huge fan of the manga/anime when it aired, so I am so happy to see it getting a LA adaptation tho, as the material is very well suited for it. Really hope they don't dumb FL down for the romance as she was one of the rare smart, resourceful female characters getting shit done in anime back in the days. Actually there are a couple few well written female characters in there, so i am looking forward how they gonna adapt it. (hopefully with a better ending for FL then as she got in the light novel, lol)
