Very cliche, lightweight romcom drama with over the top slapstick comedy, but enough popcorn-worthy for me to continue watching. Really enjoy the chaotic FL so far, while ML is the standard cool/detached goodlooking rich guy which yeah boring... hope to see some change/character development here soon. Very noticable that it is adapted from a manghwa, but it does not hide it either, and rather plays on its origins with stylistic comic animations etc. Gonna stay for the fake dating (becoming real) trope tho xD
But he wavered for like a millisecond when she told him that her husband got to know about them. I didn't like…
Tbf, she is not bad at her job, she is just lacking leading skills that make her a good teamplayer in her new position she has yet to grow into. I think she is so used to stick her head into data only and get her job done etc that she has to learn how to best work with a team and emphasize with the individuality of people within while leading them. It is a matter of experience and learning process that does not happen overnight tho. Shi Woo is a smart egg and can hold his own in his job so i doubt they will dumb him down for her to shine. She rather will grow and learn how to lead better in time, imo.
Sadly, I agree. I defended this drama for the first 4 episodes from people who said it wasn't good. But now, even…
So far tho they have been very good in clearing up any kind of misunderstandings as soon they arise and are refreshingly open and communicative with each other in a mature way. Hence misunderstandings don't even have the time to fester between them and i love that.
I feel the need to take a step back/slow down their budding relationship could rather come from outside (work, the exes, shi woo's family (?) troubles) as well as intrinsic events (aka one of them needing time to work things out or something like that) than cheap plot device things like miscommunication/understandings etc
I really liked ep5 and the comedy in it helped me recover from the 2521 emotions but the Ep6 preview kinda giving…
Well, big spoilers for episode 6 (in case you haven't seen it yet) but I watched a preview scene on twitter and as it seems meeting him in that hotel was a big flashback/trigger to her long time cheating ex. She has yet to heal from that betrayal, so while she is fully communicating to Si Woo that he did nothing wrong she may suggest them taking a step or two back in their relationship due to that. so she can properly commit to him later on.
Some may call it typical mid-drama breakup bullshit, but i find it logical and maybe even a necessary step tbh, as she really threw herself into this new semi- serious relationship at a whirlwind pace without really processing what had been done to her by a long time partner prior to that. Especially given how bad she seems to be with processing/showing emotions as we see at her workplace. But at no time did i ever have the impression that she does not want this relationship with him as she clearly has feelings for him beyond physical attraction, she simply asks for some time. However the full episode certainly will shine a more extensive light on it than this one scene alone.
youre better than me. i only have a 2 episode rule in every drama. if i don't like the first 2 episodes or i feel…
hehe, fair. But i learned that some kdramas need a bit of time to pick up pace to get gut(tm) so four episodes works better for me since we are then past the whole introductory stage and things aka story/plot, characters should kick in (for me) If not, drooooop :D
I loved how little Shi Woo gave a shit when SML put on his jealousy/insecurity fueled lovey-dovey show on the phone, ngl xD Don't worry, you can keep that trashwoman, bc you totally suit each other, lmao.
Did Lee Si-woo (ML) always have a crush on Ha-Kyung (FL)? I feel like their relationship is so sudden
Standing in the shadows of that station (?) he is intently and quite affectionately watching her while she is working in... episode one i believe? So yeah feels like he was drawn to her from the start. Wouldn't call it love yet either, more like an innate attraction and curiosity to get to know her better. Imo their relationship only feels sudden bc we are so used to the eight to ten episodes it takes in a drama for a couple to... idk hold hands usually, lol. They (refreshingly) take the other way around. Aka get to know/figure out each other while they are dating and exploring the mutual attraction instead starting only to date when they know each other well and are secure of their feelings like in other dramas. Different approach here, but ultimately same goal and effect in the end lol.

Tbf, her being a professional who is experienced in doing her job to the point of perfection but being quite inexperienced and still insecure as a leader of a team and how to work best with them was the point the episode was making. She is a perfectionist that seems to be a) be afraid of making the wrong call and being a "bad leader", thus her decisions have to be perfect. Hence her hesitance at times to the point of indicision b) she is applying/expecting the same perfectionism to/from her whole team without regarding the individuality of the people she is working with, which never works well.
This point was well juxtaposed with the voice over comparison of weather with climate while the camera stayed on her. Aka change, whether of behavior nor personality, won't happen overnight, but slowly and gradual in time. Hence i have no doubt she will be a better version of herself in the end, but it is a process not a snap of fingers.
That’s because this drama was viciously trolled for like months before this even started 😊. Things have been…
Yup as always it is a frikkin double standard toward female characters, ugh. And ngl, the whole "dating a highschooler" thing is turning me off from catching up with goblin despite its good reviews/ratings. I just... no.
Ngl, the last time i was so annoyed by a SML was the Cousin in Mr. Queen. They have both the same shitty entitlement to the FL's space, time and person tho, while ignoring everything what she wants and says. Ugh.
I agree it was far too easy for his uncle to convince him. On the other hand, we have been warned that the crown…
That is a good point actually I had not considered tbh. But as we have seen now all turned out well for him in the end, hehe. Imo the best ending possible for him as he never wanted to be king and is not really suited to rule either.
Yeees, the plot is well executed under all the wacky exterior, so thanks for mentioning that. Because on my rewatch…
Yeah i have the feeling mr. queen is one of its kind where all is just executed so well. But while i love a good sageuk, it is not the only thing i watch, so don't worry lol. I appreciate the recommendation and will give it a try seeing it is on netflix anway, thanks <3
no matter what happens in the next 12 episodes, this drama will stay a 10/10 for if only because of the first…
Yeah i really like how they built in the weather metaphorically and thematically in each episode. Given the last episode was (narrowed) visibility aka fog, we should have expected the last five minutes showing it is not as it seemed hehe
Given the good reviews, I expected to like it when starting watching this drama but i ended up being bored and ffw-ing thru most of the scenes. The characters are not terribly interesting, nor is the plot. Romance is kinda cute but compared to other dramas rather meeeh. Put on hold for now, may finish it on 1.5x speed later as i am terribad in dropping dramas unless they are really baaaad. This one is just bland with a couple of good moments, tho.
