If it’s fun drama you want you can try Chinese dramas. Xu kai is always a good choice. I am also dropping this…
Oha, very understandable then and taking care of yourself always comes first of course. I hope this drama does not drift into makjang aka nonsensical angst for the sake of angst and gets the curveball toward a happy ending too, but yeah for now i got to get my fluffy feels elsewhere haha. Those shows are on my watchlist tho :D

Since I am still newish to watching asian dramas i will stick to kdramas for the time being as there is so much for me to yet catch up, but still thank you. SWDBS and Waikiki 1 (Kim Jung Hyun as Dong Goo is such a hoot and joy to watch in this drama😂) are already in my personal top 15, love these shows. I understand dropping FLAW as it appears to require a looooot of patience to watch atm, so while i am still holding out i hope it gets less sad all the time soon lol.
Hey you should watch A business proposal after this thenIt’s nothing new in story line and has so many cliches…
I like "encounter" but it is a very slow-paced watch so i only watch it bit by bit and in between other shows. Just started hello me and like it so far, same for Flower Crew. but i am quite fond of (fusion) sageuks since Mr. Queen, so that helps haha. Also I wanted to see more of Kim Min Jae after he was such a delightful ML with great comedic timing/acting in Dali and the Cocky prince, ngl. I will give rookie cops a try then tho, though.
So why did Yoon and Yuna got togetherIt doesn't even seem like they like each other, it's like they were forced…
Probably the excitement of a forbidden affair that did not translate well into a relationship once it was no longer cheating and made official with their way too hasty wedding, if i had to guess.

Haha, I'm up to speed with this one already, and love it despite or due its tropey-ness. It is an easy watch as you get what you see on the tin, and it is just a simple fun romp. I am looking forward to the new episodes tomorrow. Outside those three (FLAW, 2521, ABP) there is not really much interesting me from the current airing shows however. I may try watching GRID, Crazy Love and Rookie Cops until the april drama start airing, maybe.
But I also have other older dramas i can watch and catch up on tho for my fluff fix, so don't worry, haha. (Currently Hello Me, Encounter (Gummy Bo <3 ) and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency)
Considering what i saw of the new episode in unsubbed form (it aint on netflix yet in my country so i gotta take what i can get lol) it is gonna be a rough, angsty ride phew. No wonder i choose to watch 2125 afterwards bc after watching this drama i need a little pick me up.
His acting is below par and his roles are quite common …But he sure have good looks and popularity among others…
Yeeeees he is so so good, just a joy to behold when he plays his roles. And when gummy bear smiles gosh, the sun is going up and i cannot NOT smile along with him then <3 I love him, especially since he seems to be as nice and gentle offscreen as well. It is high time he returns from his 18 months of militar in April bc i really miss seeing him onscreen.
His acting is below par and his roles are quite common …But he sure have good looks and popularity among others…
That is exactly the reason why i have zero interest in watching it, like why would i want to watch a korean version of 50 shades of abus... err gray? *hides* So not the dynamic i seek out in romance drama, i am all for mutual respect and equal footing in a relationship and this is all NOT that lol.

yes, i love him dearly. He is one of those actors who live their job with heart and soul and it shows every time he is onscreen. His acting is varied and nuanced in everything he does, like he can express so much with just a small gesture/expression and knows well how and when to utilize it. And gosh his talent for comedic timing, like this is something hard to learn but he does it so effortlessly, bless. I enjoy each of his work immensely due to that and he has fast become my fave k-actor ngl (still need to watch his movies tho).
It is such a shame this stupid controversy happened when it did, because KJH was just getting back on his feet (after some serious mental health issues) with CLOY and especially Mr. Queen where he was such a happy sunshine behind the scenes with Shin Hae Sun at his side. Sure, he made a mistake but he owned up to it several times afterwards, not to mention that happened at a low point in his life so yeah, he is also only human after all. I can only hope his indie movie project he is working on atm goes well and that he returns to kdramaland asap after that, bc i really miss seeing this kind and bright soul onscreen. I wish him all the strength needed for it, a better work/life balance and a better taste in (non-manipulative) women going forward haha

I'm not interested in half of his drama role picks (nevertheless and love alert are strictly on my not interested list... just NO) so i never paid him much attention as actor before, but yeah that could be also a reason. Gonna pick up sweet home when i need a break from the romance drama genre, and see how it and he in it differs tho

This is my first drama ever i watch with Song Kang and he is decent. Like he does what he is supposed to do, but does not go out of his way beyond that. Maybe because he lacks acting range. A Kim Jung Hyun, Park Bo Gum, Yoo Seung Ho or Yeo Jin Goo who all have impressed me beside their pretty faces with their acting range and skills, he definitely ain't *shrug*
I think it's obvious that the drama is not intending to be an easy watch to me. I see people saying they don't…
Yes. I appreciate that this is doing something quite different than the standard romance drama formula. The show is basically about learning to love and trust again after being hurt so profoundly by their prior, long-term partners. It is not an easy nor fluffy way toward achieving that, but all in all it is very realistic portrayed in all its messiness, and I like it a lot for that. They have to put in the work to make it work like it is with relationships IRL, which can be frustrating to watch if you are used to kdramaland feeding you fluff and easy resolutions every second step of the way. I get that, But if/when it pans out then in the end for them it will be all the more rewarding to see <3
Bruh if that wife thinks her husband is cheating with Ha-Kyung 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️…
Yeah, I am also annoyed by the complete lack of effort on Forecaster Um's part, tho. Instead of lounging on the couch how about trying to fix your shit or at least try to find a more stable living condition than with your boss your wife now mistakes for your mistress thanks to your non-efforts lol. This sidestory is just annoying me atm and i skip most of it, even if i get that the writers wanted to portray all kind of relationships in the drama, and this is the estranged kind. It is just frustrating to watch, ngl.
There is a very fitting and long comment on kdrama reddit which sums up my feelings about this drama perfectly.…
I think it's obvious that the drama is not intending to be an easy watch to me. I see people saying they don't like the main leads and they don't see the chemistry between them, when everybody was shipping hard when they'd woken up together after the one night stand
The problem is very simple : they show us all the hurdles they overcome as a couple and not many heart fluttering moments. I.e it's just not cheesy enough. We see them resolve conflict more than we see them indulge in their romance, and that's what makes people uncomfortable. I can see why it's also emotionally draining tbh, but what is the more realistic outcome for a couple that started like this? Them parading into the sunrise with no obstacles or issues, all lovey dovey and amorous?
I think at this point it's not 100% a romance drama in the traditional sense, when the end of ep2 baited some into thinking it would be. We thought we would be swooning after puppy Song Kang every week but turns it's not like that. He has his flaws and the drama isn't shy on showcasing them.
The main couple's chemistry is good imo and they're doing more than a fine job as actors. Where I'll draw the line is if they get back with the exes bc that's where the clownery should stop.
As an adult, seeing them being open and communicative about their issues is super sexy to me. That's where their chemistry shines. When they take a step back and put themselves into their partner's shoes. Is it swoony? No. It's deeper than that. And I think a lot of people just weren't ready for it.
So, to conclude, I think the people saying they'll drop the drama bc of lack of chemistry between the main leads are not honest about where they come from. They just want more cheese. I like the realistic approach of the drama. It was different from my initial expectations but still a great watch nonetheless.
There is a very fitting and long comment on kdrama reddit which sums up my feelings about this drama perfectly. Lemme copy/paste it here in spoilers for easy readability:
Every time Ki Joon speaks about or to Ha Kyung infuriates me. He can’t let her be victim???? WTH? A brick needs to meet his face, favorably whenever he opens his mouth assuming the galaxy resolves around his egocentric shitty self. And the drama giving him such a big focus as the class clown of the show in the past episodes makes me only hate him more ngl. Give me more scenes with the leads instead I don't care for or about this whiny pissbaby, thanks.
