Yeah i am hoping for some progress and at least *some* more scenes between Taeho and Hyoshim now where she is modeling and they work together, so to speak. Fingers crossed he returns to the gym sessions too. Bc them only getting 1-3 minutes together to develop their relationship in an hour episode is slowly getting ridiculous bc it is by far not enough.

Also cards are dealt against TH rn as they try to lock him away now so he is going to need an ace up his sleeve soon. I hope the brainless brat comes clean about grandma but i think she is way too selfish and opportunistic for that. So i fear you are right that they meet late in the show ugh. Probably by chance when he is picking up his then gf for a date or so heh.

Not sure why the writer takes back every small progress made the next episode atm, but i guess they gotta have to fill 50 eps. Pacing is way too slow atm tho. I am trying to be patient since there are 35 more eps, but it is hard when it is misery at every turn (outside the leads scenes together) Doesn't help that the maknae couple meant for more lighter "comedic" relief scenes is not working either because they are just annoying, stupid and useless instead of endearing.

haha, i am often annoyed by the timed comments bc it just proves that ppl fail to pay attention to the respective drama's story/chars but sometimes you have gems like this one, sending me into a giggle-snort laughing fit like a teenager 😂(it is in eps 6, btw)

After a lot of bullshit the leads registered their marriage, and after even more circular bs involving the writer having a raging boner for human trash Kim Junha absolving him from all his stalking, domestic violence (emotional abuse) , threats/blackmail/gaslighting/cheating/misogyny and virtually trying to destroy other ppl's life for 40 eps bc he is sad and lonely or something. TK adopted Haneul, the only character with common sense even being a literal baby, the leads had a mandatory emotionless wedding ceremony and now they live happily ever after as legal roommates raising a baby. No consequences for any of the many shitty things both second leads have done whatsoever, they were even rewarded in the end. Yes it was this bad. A complete trashfire in a trainwreck.

Right? PMR is basically a condensed family drama and watching the leads there i caught myself thinking "ah this is how Yeondoo and Taekyung should have dealt with the hellish clown duo "instead to let them walk over them perpetually, being complete doormats and passive af" but nope lol. They never ever worked together against them, and they were free to do whatever the fuck they wanted without any consequences.

(Another good example of leads sticking up for each other and against the antagonists is in Homemade Love Story (even if the pissbaby, being her sister, went unpunished in the end, it had a satisfying conclusion unlike here) )

Uee/Hajun have an effortless natural chemistry with each other and their progression from bickering due to dislike to friendly teasing and tentative feelings is very fluent and believable. Sadly they have only very few scenes together till now and thus there is not much joy in this drama yet. Story is well-set up and structured but going very slooooow and in circles atm. Chars going one step forward and two steps back. I think or rather hope of improvement in the next 10 eps or so, bc rn i am hanging on for the leads and their relationship progression atm. Hope to get character development for virtually EVERYONE here as it is bitter needed for me not ending up strangling 90% of them 💀😂

Like this was my first family drama i have ever watched and since i have watched a handful more and it showed me how abysmally baaaaad TRHC has been in all regards lmao. ESPECIALLY in comparison to the other weekenders.

I liked the scene bc Taemin finally apologized for the whole car thing in a way, but i was 😬 the whole time when TM talked about how he confessed to a woman he likes and TH suggested that he should introduce her to him then. My man you already know her, and have developed a crush on 😂 Because the smile after he told TM that he found someone that is "healthy and pretty" for the model job is sooooo telling haha.

I like the promise of "getting along better now" but lbr, this gonna get ugly as soon they find out they both mean Hyoshim lmao and especially when the two leads start dating.

It is always very tame in family dramas tho. I remember in Once Again, a night between the leads was implied as they drunk fell asleep together and were wearing the same clothes the next day haha. And people in the viki timed comments were confused how FL got preggers there for a while bc it was not made that clear 😂

I feel the best and sole comedy bit was at the start of eps 15 with creeper Taemin and him telling her that he likes her and she goes "oh thx i like you too. You are good person." Oh Hyoshim bless her soul is so far removed from even seeing him as romantic prospect that she thinks he only makes a compliment in telling her this 😂 Then he elaborates and you can still see the ????? in her head spinning before it turns into 😬 😬 😬 bc it could not be more one-sided on his part 😂

I think Taeho needs to be very clear and concise with her when confessing his feelings or else it will fly over her head 🤣 Then again, the feelings are mutual here so maybe she is gonna more attuned and attentive to Taeho's confession then 🤭 (i believe he will fess up first, to mirror the TM scene and of course HS is still too caught up in her self-sacrificial mindset to "go for it"

Since this is a family drama with conservative values, if far less than its outdated/backward ass predecessor TRHC, that is reflecting SK's society i can't see them going for "forcing an abortion" should the story go there with a pregnancy. Afaik/have the impression abortion is still a bit of a taboo topic there and stigmatized. I could honestly see the demonspawn getting preggers tho as it would give both high and mighty gremlins massive reality check. Whatever the further outcome of that is remains to be seen tho.

You dodged a bullet of bs then with not watching TRHC. Which started well but it quickly became a constant misery fest for the leads with no respite in between whatsoever and nonsensical plot points that kept repeating as if was groundhog's day . Sounds familiar? I sure hope not bc fingers crossed that LYOL won't go down this road further than it did now in the following ten-ish eps. Idk why the writer seems to bide her time for the second half, but atm it truly feels like it alas.

Even most kdrama with 16 eps struggle to stay good and consistent, so i am not surprised to see either a good first half or a good second half (unless it is a complete stinker) especially with 50 eps. Question is only is it worth sticking around when the writer is not even giving us even crumbs till then? Eh, maybe i will long enough to find out or maybe i will handle it like you and watch it for the leads once it is completed. Dunno yet. I mean i get what the writer is trying to do and say here with the story, but that does not mean it/the constant misery is fun/entertaining to watch lol.
