You said it perfectly how i am starting to feel about LYOL. It is giving me war flashbacks to TRHC's circular bullshit in the second half, even if TRHC was way worse here. As said, the sense of progression is missing completely 15 eps in due to the constant one steps forward two steps back approach applied. The leads' relationship is the only non-static thing atm and they are only given 3 min tops per eps for their scenes, which honestly is not giving me much reason to stick around while it airs if that is not improving and chars permitted to keep any little progress made instead to be factory reset next episode to start the circular plot going nowhere anew. Had enough of that in TRHC and then some tbh, shudder. I will give it another ten eps bc halfway thru seems a good place to judge its worth tbh.

Oh i honestly thought the love triangle was bc Hyoshim was torn between the two cousins, not the two leads making googly eyes at each other with one dude land his imaginary relationsnip with HS looking on/interfering. As cliche as the "torn between two men" would have been i would have preferred it over "two leads in love and their delulu stalker" bc it is one of the most pointless love triangles i have ever seen atp. Like, Taemin is not even friends with Hyoshim like SML's are in other kdrama, nope. They are barely acquaintances and he is obsessing over an idea of her, because he surely does not know her for all the three years of "knowing her." So his entitlement regarding her person, time and space is not only disproportionately uncalled for, but also downright creepy.

Yeah even i with my wait and see attitude bc i know it is 50 eps after all, am struggling rn. Because as said the writer is giving nearly nothing that is satisfying to watch (outside of the two leads interacting for 1-3 minutes per eps) and whatever small steps are made by characters are then eradicated the following week in a hah gotcha back on start do not progress moment thrown in by the writer. The sense of progress is not progressing, not even in small ways. Instead it feels we get back to start each time or spinning circles, Kinda a bs carousel we have seen in TRHC already if here in (much) lesser form still. I think i give it till halfway through (eps 25) to decide if i stick around while it airs or put it on hold to speedwatch when it has all aired for the leads, bc atp i am only holding out for them lol.

i know the writer is playing the long haul with its 50 eps but i am growing a bit annoyed with the one step forward two steps back approach she is doing with Hyoshim. As soon the character makes the tiniest bit of progress, the writer is beating her back into status quo, which is annoying to say the least. For 15 eps, i just don't feel much progress has been made thus far. In fact wwe are nearly 20 eps in, and the writer still refuses to give us *something.*. Aka make any small progress made by characters stick. Does not even have to be a come to jesus moment or anything similarly big, just SOMETHING. STOP HAMMERING THE RESET BUTTON, i beg ya. Lol.

At least we get HS finally to reject TM and his delulu relationship with her, but i can't see him backing down with his track record of ignoring any of her opinions and thoughts. Of course he is adding to her ever mountainous problems either way, bc the two witches are on their brooms and on her war trail to protect their beloved Taemin from HS when she does not even WANT him. So that is great, just what she needs atm when this char is already dealing with a sadistic writer having it out for her.

Yay for Taeho catching feels next week tho? I bet he will also be the one confessing first down the line as candid as he already is with her😁 Hyojoo is back on my shitlist, the dung tier together with his brain and useless brother and the mentally five yrs old opportunistic heiress. So the both leads, Phillip and Mirim are basically the only characters i like atm, lol.

I love this scene bc on the surface it looks as if HS takes care of TH like she does w everyone else, but the difference is that TH shares his food with her, even feeds her (and she allows it at that haha. They share food like a married couple tbh) and in the end gives her the quail egg he wanted to eat himself. Her shitty fam would never 🥹🤏 And the way he smiles at her. By now i am honestly convinced that Taeho's new favorite thing is to watch Hyoshim eat and be happy during it. My heartuuuuuu, it is so sweet <3

This is probably a trauma response to his memory loss in copying clothes etc of his brother to create an identity for himself, as an orientation. Maybe also due to abusive dad finding them before his amnesia happened. We don't know that yet.

Yeah tbf i had a moment of doubt too when I saw the scene but then I got what the writer was trying to do. Clear misdirection to keep the mystery alive despite all signs already pointing to one brother only. And that one is not Woohak btw 😁

Happens sometimes that a show fails to grab you and you can't even explain why. Has happened to me just recently with Twinkling Watermelon tbh. I ended up dropping. Sometimes it is the right kdrama (aka a good one) to the wrong time and mood. Maybe give it another episode or two to see if it changes but don't be like me and waste more in order to force it. 😉

Has nothing to do with censorship (this is not a Cdrama) but the time period they are in? Wasn't quite befitting to eat each other's face, is all. Thus lots of kisses in historical settings are quite tame or even lame in modern standard.
