their argument at the greenhouse is good and needed, as HJ has to learn to check in with her bf about these things especially with the creep after her. But it was also so cute with Shinyu being a confused puppy bf. "I worry about you. And I don't want to worry about y- i mean i want to and i do, but i don't want for something worrisome to happen. So don't lie to me again." 🤭

The whole post pit rescue scene is so sweet and soft. I love seeing caring bf Shinyu sm and they also opened up to each other about being afraid of what could have happened awww, honesty, good to see. He still deflects on the "dream" stuff when prompted by HJ, which yeah not good. But i think he is very scared to lose her if it comes out that their past life was tragic and he to blame for it. Or at least this is what he thinks.

Like the love potion thing, its effects stopped working as soon they believed spells are not real, but at this point he had long already fallen in love with her for real, hence there was no difference to that, just perhaps the compulsion to be and think of her every second dispelled and instead left his true feelings that were not less strong but less, idk, obsessive/forceful?

And his condition worsened again at the same point, but that was also due to them SEEING the straw doll strung up on a tree, making the first curse real and both of them sick to varying degrees. The box wasn't in HJ's possession either atp, but things improved for both of them again as soon as she had reclaimed the box and did cast a spell (probs some cleansing of sort?) Tho then of course we cannot forget the second curse enacted with their personal belongings which probs nullified whatever HJ did, and brought back the bloody hand/worsening condition again as SY is constantly exposed to it due to that icky plant in his office. So tldr: The healing spell did work until it did not anymore heh.

the battery of her fancy phone does not last even a full day. This is probably the most accurate depiction in this drama so far 😂

I agree with a lot, but i think it wasn't the potion which conjured the feelings it just brought them to the forefront and unable to ignore for him so he had to act on them. Because he is attracted/drawn to her from the start, and his heart beats faster during the couch scene in eps 2 or 3 (can't remember) but it was before he drank the potion, so the spell really did its job to enhance those blossoming feelings of attraction he otherwise would have ignored or not even noticed. The potion made it so that he was incapable of ignoring them and get closer to her. Which he did on several occasions, getting real glimpses into her life. He connected with her on a real level in eps 3/4 (during the beach scene and afterwards) and i think in the taxi ride back it was pretty clear he was a goner for her and the love potion was not to blame for that.

He just always thought it was the magic only as the reason why he felt like this for her, so it took SML to make him believe that spells are not real, hence these artificial feelings should vanish too, right? Except they did not, but got stronger in her absence instead which made it clear that it ain't the love spell, that those feelings are real. But he still was scared that it was temporary as SFL told him, and of course he was feeling guilty for falling in love when he never had the same feelings for NY. Which was a political union in favor for his family gaining influence either way. Hence why it took him a while to identify what is real and whatnot and the depth of it all, seeing it is his first time ever falling in love. This is how we went from "you swayed me" and calling it "these temporary feelings" to the "spell or not, it does not matter. I love you" confession, bc the past live connection cemented it for him that this love is all but temporary, but real. And now he finally could act on it, clean up on his aisle and fully commit to HJ which brings us to where we are now heh. But of course there is still the hiding of the bloody hand and all between them, the cursed plant in the office, the full story of their past connection etc He still needs to learn to be more open with her and trust her with things instead to shoulder everything on his own. But i guess old habits die hard lol.

they have a proper kiss the night before marriage reg, but yeah, not much chemistry here. All good killed off by the perpetual misery this heck of a writer thought was more interesting than re-building the romance proper.

Hajoon is being a brat in the drama atm, but FL is having none of it. It is quite the good dynamic already, enemies to lovers bickering style :D

Last weekend was Asia Games (sport event) and i guess the Saturday is Chuseok? I hope after that we get back to a regular scheduling, so this show can finally get out of its introductory phase after weeks and weeks on end welp.

yeah, i think he is a honorary member of sorts now? So not fully quit but not active either. I am so not into kpop so i actually not care if he has quit fully or not, just that we get him focusing on acting completely now. That is what matters to me, hahaha.

if you wanna dip your toes into a family/weekend drama, he is the ML for the first time ever in Live Your Own Life, which just started airing. Weekenders are its own genre with 50 eps and are more soapy, but it is off to a good start so far and hey it IS 50 episodes of Hajoon heh.

i love how they use the find each other in a crowd kdrama trope with him in each drama, because he indeed towers over everyone and has no trouble finding his respective FL in a crowd 😂

from what i gathered as i dipped my toes in his fandom: it is quite serious and a reason why he quit on being an idol as the dancing regiment does aggravate it too much. Herniated disk afaik, so something he has to live with, as in it is chronic. Might even get him exempt from military service, but we will see about that.

That was me. Yeol already has feelings for yebun but zero people skills so all his attempts of communicating that and ways to keep her sound and safe are falling on deaf ears bc she just thinks he is being a jerk again. 😅 Plus with all that it is going on she really hasn't the time and energy now to think about what he means to her nor to notice how his demeanor may have soften a lot toward her. But a timejump and absence may make her heart grow fonder and reunite them as much more than friends. Imo it will definitely a last episode post murderer kind of thing. As the producer always described the romance as 'having settled in each other's hearts without noticing' 😉
