i just expected more thriller from the drama but apart from that itβs okay not my typical drama but good balance…
Try Flower Of Evil if you want more thriller, but also want a deep, meaningful romance with a married lead couple.
Behind Your Touch's romance is very subtle and more on the ML's side, but it does deliver on the thriller/murder mystery part of things, especially in latter eps where the wacky comedy takes a backseat.
I also just started this drama and am enoying it but I fast-forward some scenes (MLβs mother & lawyer friend…
Oh nice so we gel on a lot of these dramas, hehe.
Btw, if i can add one show to this list, which is not from the last two years it would be Flower Of Evil. Seeing how you like thriller, romance and mystery this should be right up your alley. It has the best married main leads as well, their unwavering love and trust for each other despite everything is front and center to the drama. And the acting, daaaaaamn so so so good. But do yourself a favor and don't read up on it (if you haven't yet) and go into it blind. So worth it.
I love to read your thoughts.I personally think the gardener never drank the love potion. Iβm guessing heβs…
Yeah, NY is definitely the princess that got scorned as they were arranged to marry (just like now) but SY ran away with the woman he loves instead (also just like now π) Thus SY saying to HJ how he killed her was probably due to them being chased by the royal elite guards (marked as traitor to the crown or something) and her dying as she took a fatal blow meant for him. We have a 0,2 sec vision of past HJ where she died in his arms with her bloodied hands reaching up to touch his face as it does now. Maybe it was not a curse and it is rather a century old guilt that needs resolving to literally letting the past rest.
You know just like ML in From Now On Showtime mistook being reborn as a way to atone, but in truth it was so that he could let go and love FL freely.
Episode 11 Pre-release (Rowoon sings):https://twitter.com/veritosandr1/status/1706837946484297809And, still cuts…
should rather say, "HJ's crazy co-workers imitate a tortured cat during karaoke with Rowoon saving everyone from embarrassment in the last two seconds of the pre-preview" π
I am glad we are getting a bit of their dating era, while not forgetting about the past story. i love them. Btw with your dislike for destined love and past lives did you ever finish FNOS? π
Looking at the namu.wiki page (https://namu.wiki/w/%ED%9A%A8%EC%8B%AC%EC%9D%B4%EB%84%A4%20%EA%B0%81%EC%9E%90%EB%8F%84%EC%83%9D)…
Thanks. But makes sense to wait till the games are over and fix it afterwards instead bit by bit. We gotta ignore the episode clock for a while tho π
Am I the only one who thinks Uee x the cousin is a cute pairing lmao I like that more than Uee x Hajoon pairing…
Yeah, never forget the magic hugs and the magic bottle of whiskey π₯ which made asshole people change completely, in the same episode even without any build up or you know any development. It was just "you are good now" at a snip of a finger. Aka "pls like this character now who has been trash to varying degrees to the leads for 10-30 eps" LMAO, never seen such an inept writer like with TRHC, tbh. Kinda a talent, if not a good one π
Am I the only one who thinks Uee x the cousin is a cute pairing lmao I like that more than Uee x Hajoon pairing…
Yeeeah, the last weekender The Real Has Come is the best example for that, aka how not to do it. It was a complete fail in developing any characters tbh
I have an idea how to fix that episode timer above, but it looks like you have to put in new dates for all the remaining 40 episodes then? Wth? So i guess i better wait to see if next weekend gets cancelled too bf attempting it. From what i heard we only get one eps again, ugh.
Am I the only one who thinks Uee x the cousin is a cute pairing lmao I like that more than Uee x Hajoon pairing…
Oh for sure, it is a staple of the genre. Not my first ride on the family drama rodeo so i know how it goes π Character development is, or at least should be a huge part of a weekenender. Unless you are the writer of TRHC and do the exact opposite in devolving everyone lol
I'm on episode 3 but the show is really slow for me, when will it pick up the pace? or is it a slow paced till…
Personally I tried till episode 12, was perpetually bored so I dropped. A show that needs 7 eps to 'get good' (according to ppl) simply is not. But YMMV
It isn't just his looks i am always more interested in people who can act and if they look good while doing so that is a nice bonus... and Rowoon includes both. From his ML debut in Extraordinary You (good drama btw) to this one here, he has steadily improved in the craft with each drama he did, taking on diverse roles instead to rely on his good looks only like... err certain other idol actors i won't name lol. It is no surprise he wants to focus solely on acting now, bc this man is really good in it and still improving/evolving.
I also just started this drama and am enoying it but I fast-forward some scenes (MLβs mother & lawyer friend…
Oh nice, i never find the time to actually watch c-drama bc they throw out new shows by the minute and it is overwhelming lol. I have watched a couple of family dramas and weekenenders now which are longform kdrama (50+ eps) so that is where i am at mostly outside of airing dramas. Fun fact: Hajoon is the ML in the weekend drama that has just started airing last week (Live Your Own Life), and for the first time even hehe.
As for recs depends what you wanna watch. And from the last two years? Yeah, i am just listing the ones i enjoyed, heh:
From Now On Showtime (probs closest to this one, but with moar ghosts. My all time fave) Behind Your Touch (if you love theorizing and being proven wrong every time by the writer heh. There is a lot of thriller/murder mystery beneath the wacky comedy) A Time Called You (more fantasy (murder) mystery May I Help You (same here, but it is also a tearjerker, but with lots of heart) Crash Course In Romance (again murder mystery in your romance) Call It Love (slow melo romance, but so good) My Lovely Boxer Love To Hate You King The Land My Lovely Liar The Forbidden Marriage Salon De Nabi Taxi Driver S1 & 2 (in case you haven't seen S1 yet) Gaus Electronics See You In My 19th Life I personally did not connect with the drama, but you also may like My Perfect Stranger and my forever rec for every list: Mr. Queen (in case you have not watched it yet heh)
Yeah it's my fave atm. People complain it being confusing and messy but I love it exactly bc of that tbh π (imo it is not confusing it just has a non-linear storyline is all. Instead of going from a to b we go from a to do then to c then to b and then back to a etc is all π)
I also just started this drama and am enoying it but I fast-forward some scenes (MLβs mother & lawyer friend…
Spells are definitely real, but i think one has to fulfill the requirements and believe in it for them to take effects. With requirements i mean the love spell/potion did not conjure feelings for HJ out of the blue for SY. They were already lying dormant underneath, so the spell only brought it to the forefront and enhanced it in a way that he could not keep his distance/cold demeanor toward her, and thus led to him sticking around HJ and getting to know her. Thus he fell in love with her for real, independent of any spells. Which has fulfilled its intended purpose, as it is his destiny to love her heh.
Same with the heal disease spell. It definitely held the curse and sickness in check as long they believed it to work. Once they stopped doing so, and the box was no longer in HJ's possession his condition got worse again. Also the puppet curse only took effect in them getting sick to varying degrees AFTER they saw the doll too. Tho the creep gardener and his curse do play a role here too, of course, in enhancing the curse/sickness with the new black magic/curse thingie. Hence the re-occurrence of the bloody hand despite the box being back in HJ's possession.
Behind Your Touch's romance is very subtle and more on the ML's side, but it does deliver on the thriller/murder mystery part of things, especially in latter eps where the wacky comedy takes a backseat.
