The omegaverse trope is extremely misunderstood because the horrific content goes viral, while most of the content is not like that (filter out all the bad tags you can think of on ao3 with the a/b/o tag and see the literal millions of posts.

The omegaverse trope has nothing to do with the sexual assault that is depicted in this drama.

You can use the filter section on MDL while searching, some tags I would recommend excluding: Sexual Assault, Rape, Attempted Sexual Assault, Manipulation, Power Imbalance

I keep finding this transphobe in comments ranting with zero logic, they are just upset about the idea of pregnant men, don't bother with 'em. I don't mind dying on silly hills.

1- Scent-based attraction literally happens in our real existence. There are multiple massive industries dedicated to smelling good. Omegaverse just makes it natural and goes in-depth about why the scent matches the person.

2- The existence of horrible omegaverse content does not cancel out the good. There is equivalent horrific content in every genre, not just horror. Welcome to humanity, we don't need anything fictional to assault and manipulate people. And no, there is no omegaverse content out there that is worse than what real humans have and continue to do on earth.

It's almost like there is bad people in every fandom. And no, why would I hate the entire genre when so much of it is wholesome? That makes zero logical sense. I have been reading manga and fanfiction since 2009. I have PERSONALLY read thousands of abo stories that do not romanticize abuse at all. You are basing your opinion from a place of ignorance because you have only seen the bad side. I HATE abo stories that even hint at non-consent.

I read stories about people expressing love in such a literally sensual way that you just don't see in other romance genres much.

I have read thousands of completely g-rated fics about a friend being in heat and wanting the comfort of their friends scents and hugs.

I have read about males experiencing pregnancies as a normal thing rather than the trans male content which- I do read and enjoy as well- but I don't like constantly referencing people getting strange looks for being a pregnant man. The omegaverse removes the cis-centric view of gender that depicts a trans male giving birth as "brave" and describing how they are insecure about being a man who is pregnant. Those stories have their place, but I read fanfiction to escape so I read abo fics to read pregnant male characters without being reminded that I am trans. Its nice to imagine a world where that is never seen as abnormal.

There are always people who take tropes too far, don't let it poison your view of an entire genre.

If it causes you stress, don't watch it. Im not saying your feeling isnt valid, but saying it shouldn't exist because it upsets you is just not alright. There are plenty of genrs that I find upsetting but I just dont watch them. And yeah, most omegaverse content IS wholesome, whatever horrible manga youve seen can never compare to the millions of Ao3 fics and wholesome manga/manwha about loving relationships pushing steryotypes and political boundaries. For me personally, as a trans man, I find reading about male omegas to bee far less dysphoria-inducing than fics that use PC terms.

Obligatory comment to remind people that enjoying a genre of FICTION does not mean you agree with it in real life. Think- how many people idolize actual serial killers in media (Loki, the Joker etc) but if it was real it wouldnt be so appealing.

Additionally, every comment section on here with the omegaverse tag is full of people who saw one page of horrible manga and judged the entire genre for it. MOST omegaverse content online is completely wholesome, believe it or not. So many stories dont even have sexual themes, its a way to explore gender roles without traditional gender definitions spoiling it. And even so, enjoying the harsher side if its just the FICTIONAL content, go wild. As long as you are not actually hurting anyone, nobody should ick your yum. Traditional mainstream media has featured much worse and earned Oscars. ffs

I love everyone but I have to hop on the bandwagon- Pavel is truly beyond the skills of everyone in this show. That's not a dig at the rest of the cast, I think they are all a good fit for their roles but; Pavel's expressions and movement when he is in character- he blows even some Hollywood legends out of the waters.
