Just finished it and the ending scene was perfect ♥
Yes^^ Since the subs of the last 5 eps aren't edited, they didn't make that much sense alone, but with listening carefully I was able to understand everything that happened :)

Come on.. In what way is this good? Just watched the first ep and that was wayy to generic. Writing was lazy as…
Well I loved it from the start, but I liked it even better when you find out more about the guys' pasts later on. It's probably best to judge for yourself, but then again no need to force yourself to watch something if you don't like it that much ;)
I watched it raw on viki, I don't think there are completed subs yet^^ If the drama is not available for you on viki, check back on myasiantv, they update pretty fast.
I haven't seen most of these dramas, but Bridal Mask and Warrior Baek Dong Soo are definitely two dramas with a very memorable OST (not just the songs, but also the score). Your choices for these two are my favourites as well, but to WBDS I'd also add this song by Shin Sung Woo that I still listen to a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQOgXkC5SRk
Glad to see that she seems to be getting a lot more movie roles recently! She's a promising actress and I'm curious to see how she'll develop in the future :)
I just started this, saw ep 1 admittedly when I was tired & sleepy, it didn't make much sense to me. It gave me…
There's a lot of people with different agendas in Secret Door, so it would probably be best to watch it when you're fully awake, because it's not as good when you miss the details ;) They will explain more about the maengui in later episodes, but basically it's a treasonous document by the Noron faction in which they say they want to replace the King with another one. Because they want to put Lee Do on the throne, they threaten him to either sign it and become King or get killed himself. You could also read the recap over at dramabeans, they're very helpful for the background info and to keep all the different people straight^^
I agree that it has the same feel as Tree with Deep Roots, it's just a very serious sageuk with lots of politics, but the development of the father/son relationship makes this a very engaging watch for me!
if this is true - why do they portray Sado as a good guy? (is this really the real history O.o) - http://madmonarchs.guusbeltman.nl/madmonarchs/sado/sado_bio.htm
Yes this is the real history^^ I guess they're just doing their own take on the story, much like Jang Ok Jung did with Jang Hee Bin who is usually the villlain. I really expect the Crown Prince's character to take a darker turn though when his conflict with the King gets bigger.
Is this worth watching? (I love Jun Il Woo but if everything else sucks then I am not interested)
I dropped this after a couple of eps, so I'm not sure if you want to listen to my opinion but I don't recommend it. You could watch Return of Iljimae instead, if you want to see JIW in a historical drama ;)
Good review^^ Totally agree that near the ending things didn't make sense. I still don't get that part in the last ep when Ji Wool, Maria and Tae Oh were in the woods together and why none of the police even thought about going there until Moo Yeom arrived... And although like you said I also appreciated Ji Wool wanting to believe in Tae Oh there is a line to draw when it comes to serial killers and especially putting your life on the line just to see if psychopaths really can't be changed, because that's really not worth dying for >.<
Anyways I agree that it was a good watch despite the flaws, it was interesting to see a drama that didn't focus so much on who committed the crime but on how to figure the criminal out^^
