tell me about it 😭 my interpretation of his character is basically: i think maybe those who feel bad for him are just being fooled by his display of guilt. if his reasoning was really was really to save his family, still like i said id rather die. but clearly theres more to that. he never expected her to come back alive and probably wanted to live a life comfortably by the princess’ support to some extent. he is greedy, but hes also a coward and pathetic. a man like him doesnt deserve sympathy. the guilt is crawling onto him, and that gathers sympathy? guilt is the bare minimum! we must not forget the true him guys 😭 he deserves to hallucinate, go delusional and go crazy/mad at the mere thought of xl tbh its the least he deserves
