i mean you said "we wouldnt waste time chasing each other" hence my comment. and yes, i dont agree. maybe in a shorter ep drama, the chase would take less time. im assuming that maybe slow burn is not your cup of tea (which is totally fine!!) as someone who watched a lot of slow burn and enjoys it, the pacing seemed quite realistic to me to build up rest of the story. since it's not just cxz's story and one of the points was to show how they are both on equal footing. but anyways, don't worry about my comments. you don't have to take it personally. i said it because it's true a lot of people dont try to understand complex characters. if it was reality like you said, it'd be far more comlex even. anyways~ it's not like im not open to other povs- this is the place for it after all. i appreciate your input!

i dont see miantang chasing him around. she has distanced herself time after time because she knows the danger and differences and her priorities. i get your point but it doesnt add up
i just love cxz and lmts dynamic :(( cxz consistently showed up and helped reassure lmt's fears. this trope is seen in fiction in general. out of the two, one comes from a healthy family receiving lots of love therefore they know how to love others and don't mind spending time and effort to give love to the ones they really care about. it is really sad when people use the word simp to belittle someone's love, the ability to love. xingzhou is beyond just a "simp"
with lmt's background, it's totally valid to be skeptical (on top of that he used to deceive her). some of you think she has been "toxic"-- a lot of you just run with that word. but i get it, it can hard to understand complex characters if you haven't faced hardships yourself, or a lot more other reasons there can be.
anyways apart from that little rant, i really like their development. i have no complaints with how things played out. i just dont want them to suffer anymore T^T
