Thank you for your review. I watched the trailers and was thinking, this show has every trope known to man including…
Please let me clarify further. The ending of this show was it's weakest part. It is almost as if it was written for a different show and lacked all the nuisance and depth of the earlier plots. It just ticked all the boxes and it felt rushed and unsatisfactory. Quite disappointing.

I know what you mean, Pat. :) Yes, the leads do have a happy ending and the evildoers were punished. The 2CP didn't have a happy ending and that was quite sad because it could have gone down a different path but the show decided to "punish" the 2ML. On the whole, it is more a melodrama than a romance. If you don't want the angst then it is best to avoid. ;) I love You are My Glory too! That one is almost angst free. :D
I agree with you too. :) It was one of the tropeyest (is this a word?) c-drama I have seen. It just can't leave well enough alone and kept throwing more cliché plots on top of each other. I believe the grandparents were only there for the feels. You almost can sense the writer's desperation while trying to write something for the next episode. Sometimes shows that is bad can become cult classics but this is just bad. LOL
Does it have a satisfying ending? I will reconsider to finish it if it has a satisfying ending even though going…
I don't know if I can call it satisfying, it was more a cliché happy ending. I watched the last few episodes at 1.5times speed with skipped scenes because I can't stand it otherwise. ;)
I agree with your review and I almost dropped it for pretty much the same reasons but I stuck with it and it went through more clichés then ended as expected. Quite disappointed.
I agree that the final result wasn't worth the effort. It literally was like a lightbulb moment for the FL. It gave us the feels but it wasn't like we earned it.
I was very tempted to drop it too but I hung in there. It was an uncomfortable watch. Too tropey and some questionable plots just to stir things up. Not what I expected.
I respect your opinion on the show, though it differs from my own. Not going to argue the points of the characters…
Yes, I agree with what you are saying as well but that's the problem. The writer-nims will have to go all in and maroon BH completely in the past but they didn't. They played the middle path and had a bet each way. In that sense, it was hard for them to keep everyone happy. As I mentioned, they got it to work but it was a fairly uninspired solution, harmless but not very satisfying. The flip side is that if they did maroon him then the narrative becomes a chicken or the egg type of problem for them. Is the show about the So Yong/Cheoljong pairing or we are just going for a wild ride with alternative history? They will have to make the show into a sci-fi romp. It is an intriguing idea. :) Another thing that has been bugging me is that most Asian writers don't handle time travel well. They love to use it as a tool but they will either ignore any time travel effects or cherry pick something that will help the plot but only the plot. I don't trust them to handle time manipulation on the grand scale. This is from someone who is a long time fan of Dr Who. ;)
I really should check out more C-dramas,have only like finished 4 or 5 of them.Great review!
Thank you. Appreciate your comment. I would certainly recommend you to read reviews on c-drama before committing as they are generally longer and quality can be more patchy. However, when they are good, they are very good. :)
