I think I shouldn't have used the word "weird" and it has been taken out of context. It is more the inconsistency with the narrative that throws me.

I'm not pushing the pedo angle. I'm more concerned about the inconsistency. For the longest times the show is telling us how mature she is because of her past experiences. She has been a 12 years old 18 times before.
Ok, so the boy made her feel like a 12 years old. That's fine too but is that love? Does she not have a childhood for the last 18 lifetimes? The show made that statement to justify the attachment but at the same time undo so much of the world it laboured to build. Honestly, I would have preferred the show to tell us that she is cursed to live eternally and he is the talisman to break that curse. I can totally accept that. :)

It is just my opinion and you have yours. I take your point. I am still enjoying the show but the justification didn't work for me. Maybe I'm the weird one. Peace out.

I take your point but that is also just one sentence to justify a lot of plot. If she only remembered one life then it is plausible but it is 18 separate lives. And even that quote you used is weird. I watched what they did. it is just normal games and teasing. Romantic? I can't see it. Yes, I'm enjoying the acting and I'm looking forward to future episodes but they could have done something different to justify the singular focus she attached to the search for the ML.

Ok, I love the leads in other shows and they are great actors and I have no doubt they will delivery. The reincarnation theme is interesting, especially how her past life is shown in snippets and she tap into her experiences to advance her next life.
As others have mentioned, I have problem with the love story from the 18th life. They are kids. Barely teens. Ok, puppy love, I can accept that. For someone who has the memory of 100s of years, what is so special about that boy? If you want to take it the wrong way, it is a bit creepy. Certainly if the gender is swapped, the alarm bells will be ringing, hard.
I get she promised the dying mum to be with him and protect him but you can't tell me that she has never experienced love? None more profound than that?!
I have to accept it for now because I want to keep watching the show but it will never sit comfortably with me.

He he, I was a little surprised by the kiss but also the lack of follow up. A very odd situation, indeed. Yes, the ML has the tortured soul role down pat but doesn't make him a good romantic lead per se, so it is going to be interesting going forward. ;)

First of all, I have my rating scale which I've publish in my profile. I would drop any show that is 6/6.5 or below so 7.5 is not high in my scale. 9 or 10 is high. I'd never score any show a 1. Secondly, I was tossing up between 7 or 7.5 but settled on 7.5 because the acting and production are solid. The show didn't click with me because I don't agree with their world view so it lost points with me but it would be unfair to everyone involved in the production to dump on them. I hope you understand. :)

Yes, indeed. I like the fact that the explanation from the show makes his motive so pure and sweet. Yes, it can be a bit cringey at times but he is just totally focused on his goal and wears his heart on his sleeve.

Thanks. It is not 100% sarcasm but many people do jump in and label shows this or that and form an opinion before even watching the show. Sometimes show will amp up the controversy just for views but others will try to offer a different perspective. I think this show does a decent job in the later category.

The ML was very rude and harsh in the beginning but we can see that he was torn as well and we find out his reasons later on and once their misunderstanding was cleared up, he is the sweetest BF. That is why I couldn't write it too clinically because it grows on you and hit you in the feels in a much deeper way than some artificial sweetened stuff that you know is fake. When it clicks with you, you just know it. Cheers!

Yes, I appreciate some scenes from the ML's perspective but why put it in the end like that. It is breaking the flow of the show. Honestly, it sounds like they ran out of material. ;)
With the 2CP, the worse part is that their relationship is so wishy-washy. Were they even dating? Are they getting married for love or convenient or so that they can co-parent the son? So will they actually live together at some stage or just check in with each other via WeChat? Sexy stuff! LoL
