You nailed it when you say ppl fangirl over a show/star. Ask no questions when your idol is on stage. It is mob mentality. You don't want to be the lone distractor.
I don't set out to be critical about any show nor would I go in with blinkers on. ;) I just write reviews as I see them. Warts and all. Cheers! :)

Hmm, yes, it has the potential but it really wandered around the garden path and the pacing and the plots of the show got more and more inconsistent as it goes along.
That's the problem with a 30+ EP drama. Some show has a clear focus, some just seems to lose track and pad it out as best they can. Sadly, this is the later.

Yes, this one is watchable largely because the leads are cute and sweet together but once you peel back the façade, it is pretty much the old reincarnation love story trope. In fact, 3 popular dramas this year are all based on the lead dying and rewinding time to do-over their mistakes. We are not in the golden age of creative writing. ;)

Ah yes, I do have issues with people who rate every show 10/10. It becomes meaningless. This is particularly true with certain sites where any note of dissent is quickly shouted down. MDL is much more civilised.

I've watched too many dramas to have any misguided notion of an unicorn show. I always call it as I see it. :)

There were red flags from the start but I gave it the benefit of the doubt but the senseless killing of the young woman was the last straw. Cheers!

Thanks for your comment. I find this show amped up all the worse stereotypes and tropes for "laughs" and it was so cringey. The senseless violence was the last straw for me.

Thank you for your kind words. I totally agree with you. I'm actually a j-drama fan but it is much harder to find j-drama on steaming platforms compared to k or c-dramas. I have reviewed a number of j-dramas here and I rated most of them highly. :)

The problem with Viki is that their smallest step is 1 while MDL is 0.5. I have to make a call to either round up or down on the score when I post on both sites. Sometimes I make it clear in the review that it is 7.5 but most of the time it is not worth the bother and I just round it up. It doesn't deserve a 7. ;)
