If she doesn’t fall for MY, all of this won’t happen. Sure TH is the one that causing this, but does she know…
I would've liked more torture scenes, but yea that was pretty satisfying :) I'm happy SJ didn't completely lose her sanity, since that was what I was most afraid of.
🙄 When you realize MY would still be that forgiving if the ones killed were his clansmen... Annoying good people(…
debtable tbh The moral of the story is that every person and their actions are a direct consequence of things that happened to them. MY can spare TH because he didn't experience the tragedy himself. If it happened to his own clan I think he would've considered taking the crystal by force and still kill TH.

That is a fair point, there's still the misunderstanding between them so perhaps her love for him is justifiably not that strong yet. Still, her enemy #1 should be TH. I would hate to see her ignore MY or even try to take revenge on him before killing TH first (somehow).
I think she blames herself because Tian Huan is a psycho who explicitly said that she is committing a massacre…
Yea I wouldn't be so annoyed if she was only blaming herself (still annoyed but not as much). But saying she shouldn't have saved Ming Ye (basically, saying she should've let him die) is a whole different level of 🤦🤦🤦moment.

This doesn't really make sense either though. It's like you saving and bringing home a dying puppy, and then your house gets raided by dognappers because it turns out it's a lost puppy and the owners are giving a $1 million reward for it. Blame the dognappers, not yourself or the puppy.
If you cannot find any reason to degrade a drama just say its overrated cuz the male lead is handsome lol
No, if you understood Li Xun's character. His top priority is to make money to support his remaining family members. It makes sense that they only officially got together once they're about done with college and started their company. They still had a lot of cute interactions even before officially getting together, so I don't understand why it matters. If you're more interested in a fanservice-infested idol drama where the FL & ML get together early after a series of accidental kisses and hugs, then unfortunately you may want to watch something else.

There are definitely people who spend most of their time on a computer coding. I pulled multiple all-nighters for some of my coding assignments. You're underestimating the time and dedication it takes to succeed in this subject (even more so to excel, which is what you would expect students from a supposed top college to do) lol
Ughh... the characters in this show need to stop having monologues explaining every little thing as if the viewers are 5-year-olds who have trouble understanding what's going on... it feels like such a cheap way to create conflicts. And why is Sang Jiu being upset & regretful over her and Ming Ye's relationship instead of the obvious culprit, Tian Huan? I think after seeing someone kill your whole tribe, a normal person would think "I'm going to kill this bitch" instead of "Everything is my fault, I shouldn't have saved Ming Ye". Really? You're blaming Ming Ye and yourself first before Tian Huan?
This is an idol drama through and through with many of the shortcomings of one. It's just more enjoyable than most.
1 thing that's been bothering me... When the cruel king / TTJ's brother threw the kid into the barren abyss, how did the kid survive? The FL needed to shield herself using the alluring jade's power to get through the barrier. How was the kid ok?
Wasn't planning on watching this, but I just watched the first 2 episodes and I think I'm hooked. I really like the 2 leads and the story seems like my kind of thing.
The past 10 or so episodes have really redeemed the show for me. It's like they changed the scriptwriter and director. Went from being a bore/cringe-fest to an actually good drama.
How is the romance in this? Is it slow burn? When do the leads get together?
Romance isn’t a focus of this drama, but it’s still still well executed. It’s an “organic”, mature relationship and the ML is absolute husband material.
I was rewatching The Romance of Tiger and Rose, which one of my faves
The Romance of Tiger and Rose is a masterpiece. Cleverly written and directed script with well-done comedy, tearjerking sad scenes, and beautiful chemistry between the 2 leads. One of my favorites for sure.
Few were saying Love and Redemption is better than The Starry Love. I tried to watch Love and Redemption 5 attempts…
Starry Love is one of the top Xianxias imo.
I'll copy and paste a comment I made about L&R a while ago.
If you enjoy pointless angst and 90's power ranger music coming on every time the female lead uses her powers, then Love and Redemption is for you!
Jokes aside, L&R was one of the least enjoyable "big" dramas for me. I kept on watching hoping the next episode would start to be good enough to justify its popularity, but it never got to that point. The most enjoyable part of the drama for me was after the useless FL disappeared and I no longer needed to hear her high pitched "SI FENG". I love angst when it's done right, but the angst & romance in this drama feels so forced... they're together basically "because fate said so". You know what I mean if you watched the ridiculous "past lives" of the 2 leads. Oh, and 90% of the side characters are so damn unlikeable. I feel like this drama's whole purpose was to craft the next big star (and it worked!) because almost every other character (especially the "good guys") in the drama is (pick at least 1) stupid/corrupt/ungrateful/unreasonable/annoying while the ML is put on a pedestal.
Not feeling it after the recent episodes honestly. I started this drama because I really like Ding Yuxi and Peng Xiaoran, but the former is overacting, and the latter is playing a childish stupid role. How am I supposed to feel touched over Ning Yu Xian's sacrifice when I'm too busy cursing the FL in my head for being stupid? Even I saw from a mile away she was going to get herself caught... she's even stupider than me. And why is she moaning and groaning about the Magistrate building being messy when she hasn't even entered it? Is she really the same person who enthusiastically tidied up the "Reflection Pavillion" on episode 1 29:00? And the needle that broke the camel's back... her asking "I never provoked anyone, why are they trying to warn/scare me?" with the coffin. Girl you're not the magistrate, how can you be this dense? 🤦🤦🤦Ding Yuxi's facial expression was actually the perfect response to that stupid line. I don't blame the actress. The scriptwriters & directors are at fault.
I really hope things get better. I really wanted to watch DYX (Tiger/Rose and Moonlight were soooo good!) and PXR, but this has been disappointing so far :(
