Ok I get it. Romeraffy dynamic is indeed like sandray as well as shashagorya and rome is like sand but raffy is…
Exactly!!! The reason why the dynamic between Sand and Ray was so addictively good was because they are equally obsessed, and that's why when they hurt each other with their misunderstandings and arguments and angst it hurt us as the audience just as much. They had their conflicts and times where they were angry and confused about their feelings but at the end of the day they always returned back to each other almost like inseparable magnets. At this point, Raffy hasn't been giving that energy towards Rome at all - that's why I'm confused where people are getting the likeness between Ray and Raffy from. 100% agree with your last statement, the only thing really similar between them two is their overall situation.
I feel like I'm the minority here because I've seen insurmountable hate on Dean where people are saying he is…
Also, I've seen people say Dean only got the lead role because of his relationship with Jack, well Arnold literally said that the chemistry feels more realistic with Dean, implying he's a better acting partner compared than Raffy. I know it isn't Raffy's fault since I do agree that Jack is being unprofessional, he should guide and help Raffy to become a better actor and develop chemistry with Arnold too, instead of letting his feelings get in the way.
I feel like I'm the minority here because I've seen insurmountable hate on Dean where people are saying he is too full of himself and he's selfish and all this crap but I highly disagree. Dean's been the best character from the start and honestly what has he even done wrong? He's stood up for himself against Raffy when he tried to "expose" him for being a host (the job he took because he needed the money to support his family), he started doing fanservice with Arnold to push past the highly unfair barrier set upon him because he isn't famous compared to Raffy. He's dedicated himself to becoming an actor and we've seen the amount of hardwork Dean's putting into trying to build a career for himself, so I think it's justified for him to be pissed at Raffy when he's trying to ruin his chances at being the lead in the play and also trying so freaking hard to break up him and Jack.
I don't understand people hating on Dean for intentionally "aggravating" Raffy either. This man is literally trying to destroy his relationship and lead role in the play so of course he's going to be smug and snarky when he gets the upper hand over him, that's an appropriate reaction honestly. Just because Dean is not backing down and defending himself does not make him "full of himself". That's stupid. Dean did not throw Rome under the bus either. Raffy would have figured out sooner or later that Rome was the one to delete the video.
And I don't like the comparison's being made between Ray and Raffy. Ray is my favourite character from season 1 and I need people to understand the difference between him and Raffy. I understand their situations are similar (and I feel devastated for Rome in the same way as I did Sand) but the key difference is that Ray was infatuated with Mew because he was the only one there for him when he was suicidal and Mew saved him from killing himself. That's why he neglected his relationship with Sand and treated him poorly (I love my babies). Why is Raffy obsessed with Jack? We've seen little to no interaction between them. Other than the fact he can give him the lead role in the play? Because he wants him solely to be better than Dean?
I don't hate Raffy at all. I feel bad for him and I understand why he is acting like this - because he wants somebody to choose him for being himself instead of just as an extension of his mother. He wants to be successful and get the lead role because of his own abilities and skills, and dislikes Dean because he feels like he is freeloading and that Jack doesn't "deserve" someone as horrible as him, because through Raffy's eyes, Dean is a despicable person. Raffy is acting petty and doing dirty tricks because he's clutching at straws and I'm worried that soon he is going to break down like Ray did.
I love both the characters of Dean and Raffy, I just find it boring and superficial when people start aimlessly hating on one character because they blindly love the other one more instead of giving an actual analysis.
JamieMarvis are so bloody cute, jamie is literally north with how he swoons so much over otto like from dmd friendship. I just wish they had more screentime 😭
I get why people want TongPae to happen, but if we’re being realistic, the way the show has handled them doesn’t…
The cautious approach is probably the better way but I've gotten too caught up in the idea of them 😭. I guess we'll just have to wait for the last episode to see if anything does happen, and I hope that if it doesn't that people aren't too disappointed and they target their anger towards the actors.
Thank you for talking with me maturely (it's hard to believe the amount of haters here), it's been insightful to see your point of view!

I fully agree with your last point - it is unfair for the decision to fall completely on Thee's shoulders since it puts him in a harsh situation. But there are still details that we don't know, like maybe they've already had discussions between the actors and the companies and are waiting for the right time to announce. Because from a fan point of view, it seems odd for them to be teasing their pair if nothing is going to come of it - that would create fan backlash anyway if they went their separate ways afterwards, because of the potential for some people to be angry.
Maybe I'm reading too much into the small details in the hopes that Tong and Pae actually do happen, but it just seems odd to me for them to change the plot to include the "cherry" incident as it wasn't in the novel originally if they aren't trying to set up them becoming a couple? It could only be that they changed it to fit more with the story/be more entertaining but idk.
To be honest, it had to be known that announcing them together on the poster for the event would stir the thoughts of fans. It feels like it could be a ploy to tease their characters becoming a couple, but again this is just speculation/hope.
There is a possibility for them to be developed in a special episode? But realistically, nobody really knows whats going to happen, we're all just hoping at this point lol
RIGHT! My hypothesis for the last episode tomorrow (not just delusional hoping begging for tongpae, ok maybe) is that they will come out as a surprise towards the end of the ep/or they will get caught sneaking off together/caught texting "cherry"? So much points in the direction that they are already a couple, like when Pae said he was going home to his partner (when Duang was drunk and they handed him off to Qin in an earlier ep) and I've heard North said there will be a surprise in ep 12. Also, why would the cast tease Thee and Wave so much if nothing happened between their characters?? Especially with the event that Thee and Wave have an event together after the last air. TongPae must happen!!
The look on Raffy's face when he realised the video was deleted is absolute gold LMAO the player just got played. I love Dean's little smug face he is such a diva
Came home from the shittiest day because of my own shitty parents and just sat and rewatched the whole of episode 11 because of how wholesome and comforting it is. Everything - Qin's showcase, Duang quietly sitting with Qin and comforting him, Qin's parents actually listening and understanding, Duangs loud and caring family. Episode 11 is the epitome of angst with comfort and I love it so much. Everyone deserves a Duang ❤️🩹
Holy moly what's with the sudden influx with the jamiemarvis hate??? Since I watched DMD friendship 5, week after week desperately hoping that northotto would become a pair, idk if im biased in saying this but I don't see them as boring at all. I do wish they had some more screen time to develop because we can only get crumbs each episode, but I could never skip/speed up my babies.
Also, calling Duang cringe? I understand if people went into this without knowing the premise, but still it hurts my heart to read that. Duang may be a lil over the top, dramatic, and a bit of an odd guy but his heart is pure and he is so emotionally understanding and supportive to Qin. At the end of the day, this is a fluffy wholesome comedy/romance but with actual emotional depth, what did you expect?
I don't like the hate. (I know people can have opinions. My opinion is that I don't like them)
In my opinion, this whole argumen tamong all six of them felt a bit forced. I get the camera thing, but the whole…
To be fair, it is a group project that they said will impact their final grade, so I can kinda understand a struggling uni student would get frustrated if him lacking focus could cost themselves a good result. its easy to neglect your friends feelings in those types of situations. But I agree he should've communicated with Qin and not made it Duang's responsibility.
Please support the artists by subscribing to iQIYI, it's not that expensive. And you should not watch it on Youtube…
the toxic and annoying person in that conversation is YOU. this person was just trying to give you some more details and you blew that way out of proportion. jesus christ get a grip

there are different versions on here that she can choose from :)
