girllll nooooooo. Love Sea is just a straight woman MAME's fantasy of soft porn. It fetishes gay men. This one…
I don't mean to start an argument at all, but I heavily disagree. I know MAME is controversial, but I separate her from her works. Especially since there are many many other people who spent time and effort into creating the series.
Love Sea is a comfort series for me, because I find comfort in the plot, which I wanted to point out is similar to this one. The main characters meet on an island separate from everything else where one of them is trying to escape their lives and responsibilities, and at first they constantly clash, but then they start to find comfort in each other, and then develop feelings without even realising. It's the accidental love story while trying to find an escape on a beautiful island that I find appealing, and I don't like completely disregarding the characters and their romance to just "soft porn".
Yes, Love Sea has many sex scenes. But it's also so much more than that too.
The budget looks fine for a mandee production they’re on southern islands and Sam pretty much has been living…
Mandee and DMD are both under the same company but do different things. Mandee is the series production, DMD is the acting management. Essentially, creating the series (production, editing, budget, etc) is handled by Mandee work.
It can be confusing since many people refer to series as being made by DMD because they aren't aware of the difference, and because "domundi" is the name that is most well known. But yes, its Mandee
Usually when a series is mainly comedy it makes it very hard for the chemistry to come through imo, but this series is definitely an exception. MaxNat are the best pick for this genre, because something about their chemistry just clicks in my brain, they just work. I honestly don't care for all of the haters who are spouting hate on this series, or who are insulting the plot and acting. Go watch something else. I also disagree with the criticisms of Nat's acting. His character is obviously more composed than Max's and he is frustrated with him which explains his clipped/gritted teeth responses, which Nat plays very well.
So, I'm probably alone in this (and that is really okay) BUT... the whole acting like Big Jane is this horrible…
No I don't think this is a lone opinion at all, to be honest I think this is what everyone should be taking away from this drama.
I agree that Big Jane is definitely a red flag, and I think that's partly because of how easy it is for him to cause harm to people. But in all actuality, the people who seek Big Jane out and ask for a favour are only suffering from their own consequences when they cannot deliver in return. Literally: the guy in prison is locked up simply because Big Jane exposed that he was stealing the money from the university...and then that guy still has the audacity to blame Big Jane for him being in there? Its just people trying to shift the blame onto him to escape it themselves.
Everyone complaining about the NCs "letting them down" is pissing me off. You only need to have the basic understanding of omegaverse to know that they weren't actually having sex in ep2 (on screen) they were so feverish and desperate due to them being apart that they let their animal instincts take over and they needed to inhale as much of the others pheromones as physically possible because it is so intense and painful for them. What we saw was not meant to be sex. Them getting back together triggered Phatsa's heat and in the desperation he couldn't think to take his clothes off, the only thing that was on his mind was Nakhun and urgently needed him. They were humping and inhaling each others pheromones in their desperate states.
Yes, the urgency and roughness does appear jerky but I think BoatOat did exceptionally well at trying to portray it the best they could. I did find it odd, hasty and laughed sometimes and its normal because we are used to the way it is in normal BLs. But you cannot compare this to normal BL shows because this is technically a fantasy genre, it's literally centred around personal pheromones and instinct and intense desire, not normal life so of course it's going to be different then My Stubborn. And it's only episode 2, I bet everyone who said the NCs let them down will eat their words when they start going at it for real on screen in the next for eps.
The ending of episode 2 is the best ending I've ever seen in my life. The beautiful and complicated portrayal of Tanrak's desire is phenomenal. Never thought I'd be brought to tears after watching someone give in to jacking off, but still XD
It might've been mentioned before, but I love the personal colours for both Ryo and Zen specific to their personality. we see it best in the intro scene through the colour of the lighting and the suits/ties they wear - Ryo tends to have dark and navy which highlights his composed exterior and tendency not to show his emotions around others, in contrast to Zen who wears more warmer tones like beige and orange seemingly the more uncontrolled and spirited out of the two. I love them and I'm devastated that this show is over
