Nonsense writing wrapped in pretty package that pleases your senses and pumps your adrenaline. Kangto ended up as nothing more than a plot device was the biggest tragedy though...
The plot seems to be reaaally complicated, isn't it?
You're awesome! Gonna check Cruel Palace first then, as I had been wanting to watch it but the last time I checked the subs hadn't been completed yet but now it has, thank you :)

@Mareina okay, I'm looking for some sageuk right now. Not just any sageuk but something that blows your mind. I've only watched The Legend, Princess Man, and A Tree with Deep Roots with the last being my favorite. I only want something that managed to breathe some life to these historical figures, make them despicable or inspiring yet still human, not just a symbol of an idea. Please give me your best rec. Thank you!
She's great at acting but not really at picking dramas, but maybe it was her agency's fault. She was among the best within her generation trully. Hope the next drama will be great
Ugh I hate to say this, but as a movie, this one is pretty bland to be honest. Its only selling point was the brutal true story it was based on. I'd rather go watch a documentary, at least it (the good ones) was more informative and insightful
Excellent in term of plot and characters and scope and acting, such a pity it was cut short by a few episodes, even though it wrapped up quite nicely. I think this is much better than The Virus, well each for its own. This is one of very few Kdramas that has respect for itself as a medium to tell a story rather than a tool to manipulate viewer's emotion and grab ratings. Great respect for the production team.
Even the coincidences presented in the plot feels more like a miracle or fate or bond or connection rather than convenience (coughdumbcough) writing. What a gem
Kinda meh, the last three episodes arc was epic though. Just skip the rest and watch that one, it's not like there's any notable character development or important plot point through out the show
Was good until ep 5. Somehow it lost its grip of the characters' nature, if it was meant to be character development it was too abrupt. I think it failed to properly deliver the children's psychological state too. The message of the show, felt like I was hammered with it over and over again in every episode. Lastly, it drags. Would've worked better as a 5 eps dramas that NHK and WOWOW usually make. Still it got some originality and the first 4 eps were awesome. Gave it a 7.5/10
I really want to give this drama a try but I just watched episode 1 and found the demons looked so fake. It's…
Your first Chinese drama? Seriously drop this one and watch Bu Bu Jing Xin, Legend of Zhen Huan or Battle of Changsha instead. If you ended up liking Wallace Huo from Battle of Changsha you could always come back to this one, but if you ended up stop watching Chinese dramas because of this show and skipped the dramas I mentioned above, it would be a real, real shame.
7 episodes in and it seems like the main guy likes the main girl more than she likes him...(well at this point they aren't even a couple yet) I wonder if it will change? If it will then I may continue but if it won't I guess I have to drop this drama
Overall it was good, nothing impressive but it knows which cards to play. Perhaps I would appreciate it more if…
Yeah I guess I'm not since I also gave Mother and Sayonara Bokutachi no Youchien high rating. My problem wasn't about the kids' acting, but in how their characters were written. Anyway about Giant, well it was a giant show and the childhood part wasn't that big of a part of it, and Gangmo wasn't that little, at least he was more than 10 years old wasn't he?

I haven't watched Beautiful Rain, no interest either. I don't know but I tend to avoid shows with kids as one of the main characters, kids acting al important just bug the hell out of me. I'm heartless, I know, haha
