it's a good show in terms of writing and acting but they made quite a few mistakes with the production. You could see the boom mic at least twice and there are continuity errors with the wardrobe where characters wear different things between cuts but the scenes are on the same day
I'm on ep 1 and I'm really confused. I was told I don't need to watch s1 and I'm glad about that because ep1 was…
stick with it! you'll understand more as it goes on, the show didn't seem to do any exposure or introduction in the beginning so instead you just get right into the story, but by episode 3 you get the gist of it and it's quite enjoyable!
Who else thinks that out of all the couples, the only one that will be endgame (apart from the girls) is SandRay? I can just feel it, I think they'll go through a lot of drama but will end up together.
Judging from the comments it seems like 90% of watchers are skipping the stepbrother part and enjoying the other…
yeah exactly! the portrayal of rape/SA makes no sense, it's way too easily forgiven and seems to have no mental/psychological stress impact even after they realise what happened during sleep/drugged time! I totally agree, they should have chosen to either stick with rom/con and leave out the topic or make it a darker, more serious show that addresses it properly

Yeah, there is no real emotional arc and no real acknowledgement of wrongdoing, not even necessarily by the character but by the storyline itself. If they wanted their relationship to be one of overcoming a societal stigma, then they would have had to redeem him somehow. Or if not that, they could have made the brother be predatory and not repent and framed it in the storyline as him being a messed-up, manipulative narcissist or something, but instead it feels like they're trying to portray the relationship as a romantic one when there was never any repentance or redemption?? Other toxic couples like VegasPete at least made you feel an emotional journey that made you understand the harmful behaviour and see their regrets and stuff
what about gagaoolala? if gagaoolala isn't available either then maybe dramacool, but I would recommend to only use dramacool as a last resort as it's illegally copied episodes and subs which does not support the creators of the show
I'm not gonna lie I wasn't convinced by the Perth/Chimon pairing before starting this series but now I have no idea why because this show has me in a chokehold and they're both sooo good!
I know I'm late to watching this and there are enough redeeming qualities for me to continue watching this but...…
the more I progress in the show the more I've started to skip the step-brother's bit. I don't even normally mind watching toxic stuff, like I enjoyed TharnType and KinnPorsche and am currently enjoying Only Friends and those shows have unhealthy relationships, too, but something about this one feels off to me. Like, I feel like the writer wants me to find it cute??
I know I'm late to watching this and there are enough redeeming qualities for me to continue watching this but... what the hell... I can't believe women wrote and directed this show, the way this handles and discusses sexual assault and predatory behaviour is seriously messed up
I can just imagine the conversation at the hospital
"Congratulations, it's a healthy baby boy" "yeah, sure" "so what will the little one be called?" "huh?" "what should we put down as his name?" "name?" "yeah" "Just put that" "Put what?" "Name, put that. whatever"

the end.
