Your profile pic has literally just prompted me to watch We best love again too:)
I’ve watched it so many times I really have a problem. It just has this magical quality that makes it so incredibly lovable and enjoyable despite the glaring plot holes. I think it’s partly because YU is perfection but also bc their chemistry is unmatched in any other series! I could literally go on about this show all day so I’ll stop now. Lol.
They really tried to dazzle people with cameos to hide how bad this show really was! Lol.
I am watching a bunch of stuff right now but literally the only thing I’m actually enjoying is To My Star 2 which has been burning kind of slow but I don’t always mind a slow pace. I think the acting and overall quality is quite good. I’d recommend it, so far anyway.
Ahem...CHARLES!!!!!!!!! Wow talk about a surprise!! Oh how I miss him!!!Anyhoo, this show was a train wreck. I…
Yeah, I can’t believe Li Gong got away with what he did?! I hate this kind of thing in these series. Like they needed to rebuild trust and communicate about how messed up that was. And all we get is a quick apology and everything is fine?! Every time he said “I’ll always be by your side” I literally laughed and was thinking , will you really?
Seeing comments here, I feel like I watched something completely different in ep 12 😩 I already said it, I…
I 100% agree!! Thank you for this comment bc I feel like I’m losing my mind — like, did people really watch the same show I did?! I’m confused and disappointed. I think ep. 12 is one of the worst BL episodes I’ve ever watched and I’ve watched A LOT!
(I also agree that the first few episodes leading up to them getting together weren’t as painful and could have had potential but everything after that was a complete train wreck and don’t get me started on the horrendous side couple!!)
Wow. One of the worst series I’ve ever seen and I wanted to like it so much! I can’t believe so many people enjoyed ep 12?! Did they really get away with throwing cameos in and fooling everyone into thinking it was good? Bc this was the most disjointed, poorly written episode (and series overall) that I’ve seen in a long time! I laughed and cringed my way painfully through this. I’m so disappointed.
Gonna immediately rewatch We Best Love and Be Loved back to back to recover from this.
There are a lot of bad comments of unnecessary drama, but is it worth watching at least?I don’t know whether…
I don’t think it’s worth it. The bad outweighs the good by a lot in my opinion. The last two episodes especially have been horrendous! The side couple are completely unbearable and any sweetness of the main couple (which wasn’t a lot to begin with) is ruined by terrible writing and plot.
I just saw your comment — I commented something similar above. Lol. I do find it odd. But then you watch something…
Lol. I could ask be wrong about the no kiss — it’s been a while for me as well. But yeah I just thought in the sequel they fell back into a relationship so quickly with little to no development of how trust would need to be rebuilt etc. I did like the legal aspect of it as well — I thought is was quite unique and interesting. But I couldn’t have used a little less time on that to make me really be invested in their new relationship.
Honestly it felt really disconnected from the series to me though. They barely felt like the same characters. None of their former interests or personality traits really seemed to be there. I know people change a lot but at times I could’ve forgotten it was even a follow up to the series. I did like overall though.

I struggled to see Pete and Kao as a couple too. I know they were hiding their relationship but there weren’t that many private moments included that showed their affection or intimacy. Especially to offset Pete’s constant jealousy it would have been nice to see a balance there. I liked it overall but not one I’d revisit any time soon.

I agree about Restart now that I think about it. Another one is Him the movie sequel to the Him: I didn’t think I’d fall in love series. The series doesn’t even have one kiss I don’t think, but the sequel has a couple good moments — although I wish they’d developed the relationship a bit better overall.
Forgive my ignorance, but is a lack of intimacy / affection a Japanese BL trope? I've seen Cherry Magic, Kieta…
I just saw your comment — I commented something similar above. Lol. I do find it odd. But then you watch something like The Novelist or The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese and you get the COMPLETE opposite with plenty of pretty explicit moments (I’m not complaining — I really enjoyed both of those 😅). There seems to be no happy medium with Japanese BLs. It’s like all or nothing. Although maybe Restart After Come Back counts as a middle ground — I think there are at least two kisses in that.
Don’t get me wrong, I like all of these — when it comes to story and quality they have a lot of other regions beat by a mile!
I enjoyed this, it was fun and sweet but why is it that Japanese BLs like this seem to refuse to give us the satisfaction of a final kiss?! Cherry Magic — need I say more?
Complete agree! (Except about Bad Buddy lol) But I was expecting SO much more from this show and it’s a complete…
I loved them both, but I really preferred Nanon to Ohm in BB actually! Lol. His dimples are everything and I think his acting was pretty on point too. I do think they had good chemistry as well. To me they seemed very comfortable with each other which is something that’s missing a lot of the time. I think I just found the whole thing charming and I like that it didn’t take itself too seriously (for example the fight scenes.) It’s not my favorite of all time and the plot was lacking at times but I loved it!
I haven’t actually seen Nanon in anything other than this.
It’s funny that we have completely opposite opinions on BB but we’re definitely on the same page with p&m! Lol!!
Holy shit. This went from being potentially cute/engaging to one of the worst BLs in recent memory.Every trope…
Complete agree! (Except about Bad Buddy lol) But I was expecting SO much more from this show and it’s a complete train wreck. During ep 9 I was thinking there’s no way they’ll do that thing where they break up for no reason and here we are. What a disappointment.
I’ll have to check that Japanese one out! Thanks!
I hated this show. A lot.
