This series is just another straightwashing BL....it reminds me of that one HIStory where they did the switching…
Yeah I didn’t like that in My Hero either. There was no actual boys love happening bc it was a girl in a guys body. But bc this is the other way around it shows real development of the actual bl relationship. It’s definitely not perfect but it’s enjoyable enough.
Best BL series I Ever watch!! But i do wonder, who's uke who's seme in here? 🤣 Lol
I think speculating on this can be kind of pointless… buuuuut I do think Shi De is the seme if you’re basing it on the stereotypical things. He’s strong/plays sports, he’s the pursuer, etc. Shu Yi’s stomach problem also puts him squarely in uke territory, needing to be cared for, etc. I think it’s even more evident in Fighting Mr. 2nd. It’s kind of messed up but you can also usually tell by which actor is listed first and it’s Sam Li (Shi De) on here and IMDB.
I DIDNT KNOW BEFORE NOW OMFG. Should I watch the special edition of both season 1 and two?
I HIGHLY recommend watching the special editions. For rewatching or for the first time SKIP THE ORIGINALS. There are some extended and added scenes, several of which are kind of vital! Like if you were confused about when Shu Yi said the thing about someone being lucky to be loved by Shi De… it’s in a deleted scene!!! Also they re-edited a lot of Fighting Mr. 2nd so that it makes somewhat more sense. To me the special editions are the only way to go!
Watching this yet again and I know I have a problem! Lol. This and We Best Love are my most rewatched series (Trapped comes close)! Taiwanese BLs for the win! 💯
This isn’t the “best” quality wise I guess, but there is just something about it that is so cozy and perfect.
This kind of ending only works when characters have been fully developed and have some kind of character arch. Both leads are completely static throughout the whole thing — so what’s the fucking point? What did anyone learn? Nothing. Am I just salty this stupid thing made me cry for absolutely no reason? Yes. But my point still stands.
That was a great episode! I'm so glad we finally got an explanation about Amber and I'm really please with how they handled it. I was a little concerned that if they went the trans/intersex route the show wouldn't be able to carry it and might end up somewhere problematic. There's still a few episodes to go, but so far it seems like they've done great representing it realistically and sensitively.
Really pleased as punch! Can't wait for next week!!! I didn't expect to enjoy this show so much, but now that the pace is getting going finally I'm really loving it!
So this is a stealth Intersex or trans story. I suspect about 90% of the Gay subscribers to this series feel like…
I'm confused by what you're upset about? You're mad that one of them is intersex/trans? He's still a boy. He says straight up, he was born a boy -- HENCE IT IS BOYS LOVE. Why would they need to let you know this upfront?? Especially because this was part of the mystery of the plot and would have been a huge spoiler! This reveal doesn't really change anything about the boys love dynamic between the two leads, it just adds an extra layer. I'm genuinely curious why this reveal would make you stop watching...
I did not read the manga and this is my first Bl movie/drama and I really don’t understand the rating!! The…
This really reminded me of one of my fav Japanese BLs, The Novelist. The overall style and aesthetic is similar. It's funny that the sex scenes aren't as explicit though since the film is also known as The Pornographer. Anyway, I'd recommend this one!
You are absolutely entitled to feel the way you feel! (I was probably the one person that didn't like Bad Buddy,…
Yeah, it's a bit subtle here for sure. These two definitely don't come anywhere near topping my list for best chemistry. I guess their chemistry is more on the platonic, "bro-y" side in this. Though I didn't clock any discomfort from them, personally. Either way, it certainly wasn't sizzling like with a lot of others. Then again, that kind of suited this storyline anyway. But I didn't see chemistry of ANY kind in 1000 Stars. Lol.
To be honest, I was kind of anti-EarthMix before this series. I really didn't get them as a couple AT ALL, so since CLW at least gives me something to go on with them, I'll take it.

I agree for the most part -- I want it lighthearted unless they can do it really really well like with Not Me, which doesn't even feel like a BL at all.
I'm so confused about 1000 stars, and I'm glad I'm not alone. I know those two have chemistry (as seen here in CLW) but I really didn't feel it in 1000 stars until maaaaybe the last episode. And even then it was meh.
I feel like this show badly wants to be A Tale of Thousand Stars and it's just.... not. I'm following along with…
I didn’t think this made any attempt to be like 1000 Stars. 🤔 It seemed like they were trying to do the opposite to me but everyone just wanted it to be 1000 Stars. And you’re right it’s definitely not. I liked this better.
I know a lot of people don’t like body swaps but I thought this was pretty original. I know there are other body swap BLs out there — although I’ve only seen HIStory 1 My Hero (which I didn’t particularly love despite my darling Aaron Lai’s appearance.)
I’d say give this a chance even if the premise isn’t your thing.
This opinion will probably get me crucified, but I liked this a million times better than 1000 Stars. It’s not the best series ever made but it’s a ton of fun and even made me cry and bonus I now finally understand what people love about EarthMix. They have such good banter in this! ❤️

Be kind — this is just my personal opinion. Lol
