Episode 2 has me sold, this will be added to my weekly must watch! Plus that OST is just fabulous, they didn't need to produce anything that good. I would have come either way, by my God...So good...
the casting is so terrible on this show... half of them look the same
Not sure you mean to come off as a racist, but sadly you do.
I'd think about why you think they "look the same" and reframe the comment from there. As giving more details and being specific could drive this comment away from ignorance.
Are they styling the hair the same? Do you wish there was a larger variety in costume design?
Mind you this response is not in defense of the show one way or another. It's just that it's tiring to see people make these comments. I'd love to assume positive intent, but the comment lacks purpose or depth and is giving off hateful energy.
I love this show and I was here for the mess the whole way through. I saw all the haters in the comments below, but I just whole heartily don't agree. I'm having lots of fun watching this and I hope everyone finds some shows that make them happy soon! Sorry this one didn't work out.
All the agreement. I pay for everything and have subscribed to youtube channels on top of paying for viki and…
I'm US based and I've bought stuff from there. I just have Google Chrome auto translate the website, but the actual novels they've translated to English (Selection is small).
My main complaint is it can't be downloaded on a Kindle, you have to read it on a tablet or computer. I also use a credit card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees, since I believe it's charged in baht. It's definitely not ideal for everyone, but it's how I read cutie pie, naughty babe, Kinn Porsche, Love Mechanics, to name a few.
I'm with you, my "fun" budget is all used on these subscriptions 😆.
Regarding the fan translation of the novel being taken down, would it change if the translator received permission? I've followed a few people over the years and one in particular got the go ahead to translate as long as they didn't sell it. Plus the caveat was it would be taken down the moment paid copies became available.
I ask because this person also translated MAME's works and the translation has never been taken down. I know it's not ideal for many that were reading this recently, but it seems some of these writers are actually pretty chill if you just ask. Not sure if that's changed though, but it could be worth a shot.
With that being said, some of you do still read novels once there is a paid version, which could be why this kind of thing keeps happening. I know everyone's in a different economic position where this is concerned. But we need to really be aware of the fact that we don't have a "right" to any of the content and it can be hurtful in the long run if we're not at least asking permission. Not having our native language translation available doesn't make it better, nor does not being able to afford paying for it outright.
I know nobody wants to hear this, but it's been a long time coming. I see on the daily complaints about subtitles, acting, music, storyline, etc. from people who are accessing the content illegally and when they're called out, they don't take accountability (Many defend themselves). I'm not even policing the stealing aspect at this point, just that those same people don't even think they're doing something inherently wrong. If you don't pay for stuff, then take a back seat to trashing a show or raging against the injustice of something being "inaccessible".
It's just disheartening and I'm at a point where I see people asking for illegal links for shows that are actually accessible to them. Then they're like "Whoops, sorry. Didn't know they had a YouTube Channel. Thanks!" or something that implies that there wasn't much attempt to support the show if they could, just automatically in that line of thinking.
I know it sucks and it's way more fun to read these novels AND watch the show. But I'm hoping as a community there is a way to really show them we're worth translating for, that if they do it we'll support them. I'm not sure why they don't have more access to English novels, but I can tell you I've bought everything I could on MEB to try to encourage them to keep doing it. Hell, I'm willing to even throw my English degree in the ring and edit these books if they'll just get them churned out faster.
Longest comment ever, just want you all to know I want it just as bad as you do. But I think we're hurting our cause, rather than helping it.
These episodes go by faster and faster for me. It's one of my favorite shows to watch and just keeps getting better. This one was cuteness overload. 😆😆😆
It was actually pretty decent! The OST was just top notch and acting was fantastic.
With any time traveling show I'm often asking "But how come....?" and this one was no different. I would scream suggestions into the TV if they'd hear me.
You'll have questions, wish things went differently, but I think it's still worth a watch.
Not sure if it helps though, it's a paid subscription. You can only watch like 6 minutes without paying. What I will say is I love IQIYI though, they're high quality video and subs. Rarely are they ever late and I love to watch My 12% on it and rewatch KinnPorsche.
This is seriously one of my favorite series. I just can't get enough of it, fantastic story and acting.

Best of luck in your entertainment endeavors.

I'm also certain of one thing, I'm a massive Neo fan and I can't wait to see him as a true MC!
