I'm not even saying that TV movies can't be good. I struggled with the plot especially. The direction of the film and the soundtrack were fine but I just found myself not caring what happened. In essence I wanted it to be better than it was. I though Yaksha was petty good.

Though the film kept mostly to the plot the plot and didn't focus too much on character John character I thought it was well directed. Movie looked great. I also enjoyed how the movie focused on a team of surveillance experts tracking a suspect. Both Jung Woo and Sol Kyung Gu Is played their parts well. Han Hyo Joo was good She did not shine as much as the main villain and her mentor. It was thematically consistent and tonally sound. I enjoyed it.

Dropped at 1hr 25.I wanted to like it. The characters are interesting enough, but script and direction is tv movie level. It wanted to be Fast and the Furious meets Ocean's 11. There were flashes of cool, but nothing sustainable. Bummer.

Cafe Minamdang is a fun drama, overall. I laughed. I rolled my eyes. I even cringed a time or two. But it was never in derision. It wasn't perfect, but it served as an enjoyable distraction.Special shoutouts for SIG, Kwak Shi Yang, and my favorite beleaguered detective, Jung Man Shik.

Agreed. I think you hit it on the head. The Minamdang gang is FUN. Psych Is ran for 8 seasons in the US. Is the mentalist for about 6. I don't think the hate is about the premise. More about the fact that it was overlong and the romance is romance wasn't really there. I agree that we don't need a season 2 but if there was one I would prefer to see them solving cases every 2 or 3 episodes with maybe 1 case running throughout.

I'm not sure what you mean. It was a clown show from the start. If by clown show you mean childish characters doing silly things while solving a mystery. Although I agree that the ending fell flat.

Excellent comments thanks for sharing. Is only differences that I felt like it staggered across the finish line. Where some felt the middle was dragging I enjoyed some of that or as the last 3 episodes didn't do much for me.

Her scene in 15 when she learned about Prosecutor Cha was well done.

The grievance she had against her husband was not explained well enough at all. I was kind of hoping she was going to call him at the end. She was bitter against him, but the reason was unclear. Eun Seok says at one point that the original judgment in her son's case 'destroyed' a family. It would not have taken much for them to explain it better. The husband/father was still grieving 5 years later as well.

As others have said, the show had great potential but is overlong with unnecessary twists and turns to draw out the plot. I will see it through nut it has become a bit of a disappointment. The ML and squad are interesting characters but but have diminished over time.

I agree on most all of your points and after 15 and 16, I don't see any reason to continue, but I will. the big reveal fell flat as most saw it coming. It's a terrible revelation. I enjoyed the prosecutor Cha roll up until this point. With this much invested, a couple more episodes isn't much to give.

I dropped it after 30 minutes. Did not know where it was going and did not care unfortunately. Lead cast is good, but little else.

14 was the weakest so far. The RV rescue was ridiculous. Did it not occur to Han Joon that campers are ventilated from from the top. Get up there and get her out. Both he and Fl were catastrophically clueless here. The romance is lost on me at this point. Do not care. Except for 2nd couple who are hilariously in love. Just my two cents. Still enjoy the show for the most part

He's a actor. I think this as meant for supporting actors.

We must not be watching the same show. I agree that it has an uneven start that doesn't get better, but Seo iIn Guk is the reason to watched the show. His antics are what keeps the energy up and his squad is pretty funny too.

As with many of the comments below, I thought the acting was top notch. All leads and supporting were excellent. I also agree that this would have made a better drama.

That said, I liked the movie. The action/exorcism scenes were good. The music help with rising tension and suspense.

I was pleasantly surprised by the favorable treatment of Christianity/Catholicism. The idea of spiritual warfare is a controversial and well presented hear with demonic imagery and power of God to overcome it. Even though rooted in Catholic tradition this came off as a powerful example of spiritual warfare.

My minor disappointment was with Yong Hoo not having to personally reconcile with God, or call on him. It was as if His father acted in God's place giving him the Godly power to defeat his enemy.

SIG is excellent, but Kwak Shi Yang If deserves some kudos as well. His social awkwardness and physical comedy is just as fun to watch, in a different way, than the ML.

This is the key. Set the romance aside and enjoy the antics of Nam Joon and his squad.
