Title Come Back Alive Spoiler
I am really enjoying this drama, but I wish it was only the Oh Yeon Seo storyline. I love her. I love Kim Soo Ro. I love every character and the plot on that side of the drama. But I get either bored or physically annoyed every time they go to the Rain side of the drama. It's not that I don't like Rain, it's that I hate the way that character was written. Every decision he makes and everything out of his mouth is just so wrong and stupid - and cringeworthy! That side better turn around fast because right now I am watching one drama I love with Oh Yeon Seo and one drama I want to drop with Rain. It's a weird feeling that they are actually the same drama. Get it together!

I had looked forward to this drama and am so disappointed. How on earth they managed to make this subject matter…
LOL. I've had the same feeling. I want it to be exciting. It really should be exciting. But for some reason, it's just not exciting. I cannot even figure out why. I am sticking with it for one reason only - Lee Soo Hyuk!

Song Jong Ki has always been beautiful, and a good actor. But what I want to know is when did he become the sexiest man alive????!!!! Holy crap! I cannot even handle how HOT he is in this drama. It's like he's looking into my soul. Unreal.

Everyone still defending Jung after another despicable act in ep. 14? Yes? Really? Not surprised I guess. This ship where I find him to be a horrible psychopath is lonely. Seol should run away screaming from that megalomaniacal jerk. A girlfriend shouldn't have to be a therapist, which is what he needs. I mean Sang Chul is a jerk, sure, but how is it Jung's right or responsibility to mete out punishment like some kind of god? Plus Sang Chul is clearly a guy on the edge already (like most of Jung's victims). I'm surprised none of them have committed suicide. It would serve Jung right to have the blood of one of his victims on his hands. I used to love Seol as a character, but at this point, she has lost me. I cannot understand why she keeps standing by him when his acts are so devious and cruel.

Also, what he did to Sang Chul is different from say Young Gon because with Young Gon he was trying to (sort of, in a twisted way) protect Seol. But Sang Chul was pure revenge/punishment and that's NOT right!

Well, that does it: official winner and undisputed champion of SLS (second lead syndrome) goes to Baek In Ho. Why? Well, I could say it's his dashing good looks, charming personality or chivalry, his kindness, his warmth, his smile, his good nature, his sense of humor. But nope, he wins by default because he's going up against a first lead who is an irredeemable psychopath.

I kept thinking and then hoping that the In Ho-Jung feud would prove to be a misunderstanding but nope. Jung is a horrible piece of crap. And if what his dad said on the phone is true it really did sound like he is a psychopath or sociopath of some kind. His actions have proven that throughout the show as well. Seol should runaway in terror, not buy his hurt puppy bullcrap. Wah, cry me a river, Evil Genius Jerkwad. Yuck. This show has so many great qualities but I am sickened by the male lead's character getting a pass.

I just have to say this. Because PSH was never convicted of anything, I have chosen to not have feelings one way or another about his case. And frankly, he's only borderline OK in this drama. I am watching this all for Lee Soo Hyuk - how anyone can be that beautiful and yet that tall adorkable at the same time ------- well, it's a gift from the gods, man. He's amazing. Love him so much and have really enjoyed watching him grow as an actor. He's the best!

I love this drama. But what is interesting is that it isn't doing anything new. It is following a very tried and true Kdrama romcom formula. But where this is succeeding so far and others have failed recently is that it is doing it so well and with such a wonderful cast of main and supporting characters. Just three episodes in, but this is all that is great and addictive about Kdrama romcoms - it is the epitome and pinnacle of that art.

I like this list. While I do not actively dislike any of these, I agree they aren't as awesome as some would have us think. Well, I really love Reply 1997. But the other two, despite having good lead chemistry, do have major flaws in my mind. I keep my own overrated list too.

I love it! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! This is the kind of fluffy romcom I have been missing in my life for too long! And I couldn't ask for better leads!

Really great review for a great series! Unfortunately while maybe this fictional founding of Joseon was more about equality, in reality women were much better off under Goryeo and every previous Korean dynasty. They could own land and generally had more rights, freedoms, and better treatment. Under the misogynist Confucian doctrines of Joseon, they lost all their freedoms and legal rights and were subordinated to their male relatives in everything. So even in a very fictional sageuk like this, I always have this voice in the back of my mind that wants to yell at the women fighting for a new country to just stop! Women were better off in Goryeo!

Seo Kang Joon really is at his best playing the bad boy, isn't he? He's hotter than the sun! Right now, the second lead syndrome is killing me. But we are only 4 episodes in so I trust the writer.

This drama is everything that is right and good about Kdramas. It is absolutely CRACKTASTIC! It has all the romance and chemistry but is also not only about the OTP, rather has great supporting characters with their own interesting lives as well. Plus it has a fantastic heroine and mystery to keep things spicy. The directing is stellar. The dialog is good. The pacing is perfect and keeps me on the edge of my seat. There is just so much to love here! I haven't been this addicted to a drama in a while!

I love this drama so much. I just have no more words for how wonderful it is. It has made me stop disliking Shin Se Kyung. In fact, right now, I downright love the heck out of her. I think she should only do sageuks for forever.

Everything is great after ep 1, but I think what I might actually love the most is how cute Park Sung Woong is! OMG! I don't know when I've ever seen him play a character that smiles. He really looks like he is having fun with the role. So cute!!!!
