well this series didn't age well... at first it was sweet, the tension between the two mc was cute. it was sort of an enemies to lover trope... Itt was struggling and Pai was there to help him achieve his goals while Pai had no confidence but learns to love himself and make his own descisions over time due to Itt's influence, OR SO IT SEEMED. This show took a full 180 when Itt went from frenemies to bully mode. The "resolve" in ep 11 was like nonexistent, I probably skipped so much as I fast forward through the waste of time of a contest, the cringe singing, the creepy photo room, and out of no where, the two MC are expressing their love for each other???? tho tht cliff hanger was slightly interesting and is probably why I'll watch the last ep.
ep 9 was a full ep of Pure stirring the pot ... and I'm not for it. It was really distasteful.
Usually I'm ok with a bestfriend being the wing person but not when you're purposely getting in the way of someone else, namely folks attempt to get at Pai. Then he goes and fcks things up for waan and I felt bad for both waan and P'beau. lastly, he goes and takes advantage of the recently heartbroken Folk.... all of his actions in this ep left a bad taste.
Solo what the hell was that... You got mad that Gui got an internship and not telling you? You got upset its with THAT CERTAIN COMPANY and not another?? IDC, if you got an issue with it you talk it out. Stop sulking and acting like a spoiled brat. And if Gui tells you to don't cross the bed or stop cuddling you stop. whats with the "Don't Resist" line.... that's super creepy.
Also GUI are you a pushover or what. "I'll let you cuddle me because I couldn't make warm milk for you?" What?!!! "I was going over to your place to read..." WHAT??? So just because Solo is upset you have to do everything he says and wants?....
Also Phu if you didn't have class how the hell were you there when kao was getting beat up
Dropping this. I'm sorry I really wanted to watch this but there's just too much flashback and montage. They could've…
sooo... right when they're about to enter uni you decide to drop it? LOL ok.. GJ getting to this point tho
Edit: not coming at you despite it may sound that way. Just thought it was kinda ironic that you're talking about how long the HS flashback is but decides to drop the series right before they enter Uni.
i just finished the 6th episode and everything about them seems realistic actually.
I think you misunderstood my point. I'm not saying the dynamic between them with one rich and the other poor is necessarily a bad thing. If that was the case, I would dislike +95% of the BL CPs out there. My main issue is how Fighter casually paid off Tutors debt, and not a small amount either, when they're basically NOTHING to each other. At that point in the story, they were just senior and junior relationship is what I meant. To do something like that makes it feel like Tutor will be indebted to Fighter which left a bad taste IMO.
As for the resort thing I mentioned, at that point, they were testing if they really liked each other which was fine. Why not spend the money, if you have it, to make it a grand experience, right? No I get that, and I'm not saying it's wrong to use the resources you have. But for Tutor to show little to no objection given that we have seen how he has his own sense of pride, how he always had said he could take care of himself without the help of others. IDK it seemed a bit out of character that Tutor showed like no objection whatsoever to that trip. And what you said does make sense, I see that as well. But this is all my interpretation, which is why I originally stated might be due to the pacing/editing of story.
its good but also frustrating at times, and other times you can't take it TOO SERIOUSLY, but the ending is worth it. Also a little biased but I like shows that go beyond the initial puppy love phase and into their lives as adults
something feels off, at first it was cute. But now solo and Gui just feels a bit awkward imo. Gui half the times seems like hes just taken along the ride because he's confused and Solo is the one making the advances at Gui, nothing wrong with that.. but their expressions.... and the voices seem like there is a lack of emotions or something...
Liking Kao and other guy's name I forgot... and the doctor ship was low-key interesting until ep 2 began... possible love triangle
oxygen is "interesting?" I found it cute... but not "interesting" tbh. There was like no plot. the two MC saw encountered each other on a rainy night in a coffee shop and seems like they both fell in love tho one of them is unsure about his feelings... on ep 2 now and nothing really happens, just cute moments.
Ep1 and 2 was really good IMO. Love the overly used enemies to lovers trope when done right, reminds me a bit of Why R U with tutor and fighter but without the pacing issues.
I'm so freaking tired of everyone defending Korn and blaming Knock!!!!! Seriously, are we even watching the same show?? Y'all be pointing out the ways Knock poorly treated Korn but were Y'all blind during the moment's Korn was an ass? Below contains spoilers for Bad Romance series, read at own discretion.
Right from the beginning of Bad Romance, you see Knock trying to eat a meal IN PUBLIC with Korn but Korn always refuses to be seen in public with his boyfriend. Then Knock got close with Cho but Korn got so suspicious and jealous he had Yiwha follow them. This shows how Korn has NO TRUST in Knock. Then when Korn had enough of the silent treatment, He told Cho "You can have my man, I'm giving him to you for free". In front of Knock mind you, and Knock responded "Am I your toy to be given out for free?!!" seriously, what the f*ck is wrong with Korn. He doesn't just say that phrase once, he repeats it like 2 more times to different people whenever he see's Knock having friends aside from him. Korn gets overly jealous and controlling, giving no personal space to Knock. Did the BL industry program you to think "oh its love, that's sweet and cute"??? NO lemme give it to you straight, that behavior is *TOXIC*. They're both stubborn and it gets in the way of their communication but ITS ALWAYS KNOCK who tries to reconcile with Korn but Korn makes everything worse with his jealousy and stubbornness.
Then in this series, Knock was literally kicked out from their own place because Korn's father was coming over. Is that justifiable?? Instead of attempting to come out to your parent, He rather dig a hole and lie in it with his lies and excuses. I agree that Knock did overstep his boundaries by forcing Korn to come out but I don't think it's bad that Knock encourages Korn to do so, afterall Knock has to deal with it as well IE annoying WANWAN. and when Knock tells Korn about WanWan, he didn't even pay attention to him or care. Knock has every right to be angry at Korn and step away from a relationship in which he doesn't feel respected.
Knock may have been childish, immature, irresponsible, and lazy. He may not have been as sweet and caring as Korn. Knock indeed refuse physical affection from Korn which led to Korn feeling neglected. But so what, is SEX really all there is to their relationship? was the foundation to their relationship just *LUST*? Knock has a right to his own body as well and If he isn't feeling it, then he isn't feeling it. It's not because he is mistreating Korn. And all of that.... compared to what Korn did and what Knock went through, Y'all somehow twist it so Knock was the bad guy to even justify Korn cheating on him??
AT THE END OF THE DAY, WHATEVER KNOCK DID OR WAS, HE NEVER CHEATED ON KORN, HE STAYED LOYAL AND FAITHFUL TO THEIR REALTIONSHIP. BUT WHAT DID KORN DO???!! EXACTLY. PERIOODDTT
P.S. Korn needs to stop giving Knock money if that is literally all he can think about the "good" things between them two....
edit: overall great story, 8/10. Love shows that portray relationships after the initial lovey-dovey phase. Shows such as this one, Sotus S, and Dark Blue Kiss.
Basically "Together with me" is a prequel of "Bad Romance" although it was released after bad romance. There is…
Yep, I finished together with me and bad romance (kornknock cuts). The characters between the two series were a bit inconsistent such as korn being more open about his relationship with knock in TWM but it was knock who's open about it in BR.
Also watching TWM first, I couldn't believe the way Korn treated Knock in BR series. The way Korn tells other how he's giving "his man away for free" was really disturbing. Both of them have their issues and they need to communicate but was too stubborn to take the first step. which causes most of their quarrel. But most people tend to dislike Knock for his shenanigans but I feel Korn was at fault more in BR series while its Knock in TWM.
BR series was a bit of a waste of time, plot wise. But I liked the drama and the moments between korn and knock as frustrating as it was. I didn't take it too seriously and just went with the flow.
Overall, both was pretty good, but this series frustrate the living **** out of me. Half the times I'm yelling at them and other half I can't take them seriously. The P'Doc and Farm was even more frustrating than knocks indecisive ass. But Farm's transition was somewhat satisfying and giving the doc a taste of his own medicine felt amazing but sad as it costs his innocence :(
on a side note... I low-key wanted Mew to get back with Korn in TWM hahah... just because Knock didn't deserve him in that series.
Definitely moving on to the next chapter next, Thanks for the guidance!
soooo.... they decided to restart the whole TinCan story line but kept the problematic parts... what even was tht kiss (ep2)???? Also not a big fan of their ship from LBC anyways... Can always says Tin can't buy him with money yet the first thing that comes to his mind is "someone pay for me"...
Ae just isn't doing it for me... he's mad, he's upset at the world, he's shutting himself off from everyone else... but the story line makes him seem annoying and sulky...
Sad Saint isn't here anymore but I like SaintZee much more anyways.
i just finished the 6th episode and everything about them seems realistic actually.
yea that totally helped, thanks a lot! I think I just didn't quite catch that because there was a lack of inner monologue (thoughts from the character) if that made sense. You listed all those scenes and I watched each and every one before but I never quite got the message it was trying to make aside from "Oh this is a cute moment between them".
But for me, it's still kinda awkward for Fighter to pay off Tutor's debt because now it feels like tutor owes fighter. I don't really like this dynamic which every single BL CP has, one rich and one poor as dirt (I might have exaggerated) but that is almost always the case. That paying off the debt part felt like it cheapened their relationship, like did Tutor fall for Fighter because he rich (which happens in real life and there's nothing wrong with it) compared to the relationship for Pete and Ae from LBC. Even though they had the same rich poor dynamic, it was clear that money wasn't the reason which is why I'm not a can of TinCan. And I know money wasn't the MAIN reason Tutor fell for Fighter but it will always be a factor since it happened is how I see it. Then they went to a luxurious beach resort trip for a few days and Tutor was fine with Fighter splurging that huge amount on them which didn't sit right with me. I guess that's why the relationship of the two from the start was a bit awkward for me.
But yea, I can totally see why they would like each other aside from the constant teasing. They both fulfill each others wants. Thanks for the info!

thanks so much for the response! and I just finished TOL so this will be the next thing I watch. Tho one question is, do I have to watch bad romance completely or can I just watch the cuts (similar to PeteKao cuts from KMA)?
May in 2020: SOTUS is outdated
BUT SHE STILL DOING THE CHICKEN DANCE
Edit: now that I finished ep8
next week looks so good. can't wait.
Itt why are you digging your own grave. Now I'm low-key rooting for Folk and Pai.
Also GUI are you a pushover or what. "I'll let you cuddle me because I couldn't make warm milk for you?" What?!!! "I was going over to your place to read..." WHAT??? So just because Solo is upset you have to do everything he says and wants?....
