I wanted to watch a BL in cantonese finally but this isn't my kind of BL. the humor is ok.. but it's exactly because they portray the old man as a creep and then try to make it funny leaves a bad taste.

regardless of how many years have passed, my point still stands.

1) Shi de coincidentally met shu yi in the same work place but their relationship did not stay professional. But rather Shi De even made it a point to court Shu yi ALL OVER AGAIN which means, he had already dishonored the agreement.

2) which brings me to... if he had already dishonored the agreement, why can't he had explained his situation in america in ep 2 if not ep1? why wait til ep 5?

3) Also reiterating the fact that I'm not sure that the agreement stated he couldn't explain his situation in America, just that they couldn't interact. Well since from above we have already stated the obvious that they are indeed interacting in a personal relationship sorta way, why can't he explain himself earlier?

whether shu yi listens or not is another question but don't take it as im saying shi de shouldn't have approached shu yi. I agree with his actions, i just don't necessarily see why he couldn't have explained himself at the start other than causing unnecessary drama/plot which was my point to begin with- that all this was unnecessary if they had communicated properly and to which I'm responding to KaiOut that this show is no different than the rest.

p.s not trying to ruin this show for anyone or say otherwise. I'm just giving my 2cents.

wasn't the agreement that shi de would stay away from shu yi for like 5 yrs and if by that time if he hadn't gotten another partner, then shi de has a chance still? He couldn't disclose the agreement but I wasn't aware that the terms were that he also couldn't explain himself why he was stuck in America. And they met again after 5 years, wouldn't the term be already over(?) or broken at least since they're interacting with one another again so no I really don't understand why shi de couldn't explain himself at like ep 1.

so I was just saying.. they didn't go straight to the problem solving like u had mentioned above... problem solving is by being honest and communicating. and that doesn't happen til like ep 5.

but they still spent like a good 3 episodes on the so called "Drama" before reconciling and even after they met for the first time after 5 yrs, they still couldn't communicate (though understandably so for shu yi, not sure why shi de couldn't tell shu yi why he was stuck in America at like the very first ep) which doesnt get resolved til like ep 5... out of 6.5 eps? so really, this show is not tht different to most...

definitely a lot of good, i was just listing things that irked me. It's realistic to a certain degree I'd say. But can't say I like how they handled the whole office setting especially displaying their issues out in front of every employee. that was super unprofessional i guess.

I hear all these good things about this series so I binged S1 and S2 in a night. Sad to say, it wasn't as impressive as everyone made it out to be. one, their dynamic is weird. I usually love enemies to lovers trope, but the issue (for me at least) is that, MC1 liked someone else but then got over them, not instantly, but pretty quick and liked MC2 and I just don't find those relationships to be "Believable". Also the underwater first kiss is... weird. I don't like it when CPs kiss before they get together. Another issue is... the pacing and editing of this show could be better and this issue extends to S2. but overall its still a decent watch. nothing problematic unlike other BLs.. overall enjoyable but not amazing.

I'm not sure im impressed. Binged through both S1 and S2 in a night... typical enemies to lovers trope which is fine, nothing special. However, I don't like time skips. Especially when they introduce problems during the time skip. Plot was a bit predictable. The cutest ship IMO is the cousin with the other dude. I think their dynamic and relationship has more to offer than the main CP... since we saw their development in S1 already. Besides I think its way more interesting to see each of them (cousin and other dude) work out their "issues" (using this term for a lack of better term) together than watching main MC get back together over an issue that potentially wouldn't even be an issue if they had talked to each other. Yes yes I get it there were obstacles in the way that interfered with their "communication" but still, the way they handled things after not seeing each other for 5 years is... still so very immature? Like i found it ironic theyre in the workforce, one CEO, the other a VP and all, still acted so unprofessional in front of everyone in their company? Honestly why I found half their office scenes cringe. another note is... i wish we saw more of the parents and worked through that more, it felt really surface leveled. also, there are awkward moments and long tension pauses for no reason and music inserts felt weird imo overall pacing and edits felt off to me. On to the good things... cute, everyone in this series is goddamn cute. and im sure theres more good things but other people can tell you that.

We had Ke Xing's past disclosed this episode however it seems like WKX is aware of his own past so does that mean he didn't drink the "water" to forget his past? Then why did he seem to have a headache when ZZS brought up his past before he ran off- similar to the other ghost lady who is now in a coma state? Are people who enter the ghost valley require to forget their past or no?

Also if you know the answer, someone said there was a difference between youku and youtube version of ep20, what is the diff?

for me, this series started high but ended low- it probably peaked at ep 5. The start was so strong and then over the course, the plot and characters started to change. overall still a really good series.

yea I saw that movie a long time ago and i cried so much for the sad ending that the alternate one didn't appeal as much to me - maybe I prefer sad endings? hahah

but i just prefer that they stick to one ending instead of making an alternate one because it takes away from the original one if that makes sense- especially if there were no prior source material for this series. If censorship caused for a bad ending then I'd be upset, but since that was how K&H was intended to end, I'm contend. I'm not sure if that was the case with irresistible love

either way though, this series is amazing lol
