okay honestly me too. i expected something between DFQC and Chidi woman just because they were supposed to be the main enemies... but then it was kinda downplayed with her own problems. i think it was such an easy watch considering it's the typical god/immortal/devil storyline but they didn't really have a lot of the big physical conflicts, like you said. the sacrifice on esther's part was predictable, as was dylan's near the end, but im surprised there wasn't more regarding her background, the relationship of dairy danyin&jieli&the dad (wth happened to him lol), etc.
some characters died way too easily, and some conflicts were either resolved too quickly or didn't play out in the way it should have.
maybe bc it's considered short with the 36 episodes and they didn't want to put too much in there.
but regardless, this drama was a great one! im glad i watched it :)

HAHAH that's what im afraid of. dropping a drama always makes me feel like i wasted time starting it in the first place, so i usually don't watch something unless i'm convinced i can finish it

yes it's always hardest saying goodbye to the good dramas. esp if it's like really good, you can't stop thinking about it days after it ended. that's why i'm sad it's coming to a close already... lol i literally started this just to pass time waiting for a romance of the little forest to release subtitles (as you well know 😂) but i really think this is in my top 5 cdramas... and i've watched A LOT hahaha

as im wrapping up this drama, can i just say what a masterpiece the last 10ish minutes of ep 35 is... WOW. and the ost during the scenes are perfect.
i'm shocked i'm enjoying this drama so much bc it was supposed to be something to watch on the side while i wait for her other drama to release eng subtitles... now i know why so many people rave about this. man im in some deep poop bc it's ending soon and i hate the withdrawal symptoms after finishing a really good drama 😪

there is a love triangle, like most. second lead syndrome again hahahaha. but it's not as bad as some other dramas out there.

i feel like this is the perfect length. their time in the mortal world, etc. isn't too long or too short, unlike most where everyone is in the mortal realm for a million years hahaha
the pace is really perfect... honestly i can't think of another drama with a well-matched pace as this one. im not done yet though. hopefully it stays this way

really? i loved kisskh bc they didn't have popups and ads (only like one every once in a while) but now they have it every time i click full screen or rewind or play/pause, etc... and it's the annoying ones that are inappropriate and look like viruses lol.

okay amidst everyone's anger over the subtitles, can i just take a moment to acknowledge how how hot he is in ep 27. the shadow adds a next level of charisma, and the way he's more active to show his interest in her literally *chef's kiss* idk how she's not melting already lol

omg ep 24... when danyin gets hit by the carriage i was stunned for a second. it's violent yet funny yet sympathetic ... basically im speechless.

yeah, and his voice actor actually fits well as in it feels like it could actually be his real voice. most of the time, the dubbed voice doesn't match you know?
