Melbourne Cup gurly. Aussie Bryon backlands riding is a second home. Family used to breed and train Arabians. Love the dancing and the spirit. They always give a good adreneline riding high. Thought about show jumping here. Forgot it - its beyond expensive a Dutch Warmblood will set you back the cost of a decent home. Still the shows here are super fun.

Not sure this is a fair understanding of the comments being made - not having a western vs asian saddle discussion per se. The back and forth is right smack in the middle of the depiction in the drama. Still, your comment is interesting. The cavalry in the Warring States (China) had underbelly cinch rings, stirrup connections, and back saddle rings that were used to tie themselves to their horses in battle. Can not speak to the frequency of it but yes, the first recorded saddles (fabric to wood to leather) come from China.

Yes. Understood. Its getting on the horse. Having the right handicap equipment. And, most importantly having the right horse/horse temperament. Possiblity (hey, it could happen in a drama) vs probability (little to none).

As someone whos ridden since walking - thinking possible though not probable. Maybe belt/tie from saddle cinch rings (or underbelly ala ancient chinese saddles) around both of your thighs (tie down bottom of legs to stirrups 'loops'). Or, hella strong thighs/butt cheeks and still crippled (bareback)? It could happen. πŸ˜…

1. I do not think he is actually unable to walk. Whom can be trusted in this drama.
2. There are saddles and saddle ties that are made for this very thing.

Spoiler usage @#Β§! - never mind. Must be part of the drama moving so fast and how much emotions are stirred up. It does makes it hard to read the comments.

I really doubt the Huben army and all its puppets would be killed. They are too many of them
exactly.

Cant wait to see the fully unleashed HuaiAn!!!
Its the first time I like that CY gets a red circle his eyes before he cries in dramas. Gives a good heads up while on the drama induced emotions roller-coaster.

Captivating beyond. There is no way I could binge watch this drama. Would loose my mind. My mantra throughout…
The pile up of good soldiers in ep 8 was enough to keep the body bag count higher for good guys vs bad guys? Mind you good vs bad is not so clear. Going with intent and motivation.

Got the 14 and then back to 13. Feels almost like a personal tragedy. This writer Shuang Cheng is something. Wonder if he can keep it up? BTW - cheese cake over here sucks. No really.

Captivating beyond. There is no way I could binge watch this drama. Would loose my mind. My mantra throughout each episode is - 'don't get attached to the characters.' Every one we meet 'could be' good/bad/dead. What a wonderful mess!!!
