About the fight of our main leads: I agree with Jun Ho. In my experience when i was a student understanding the material makes everything easier. Memorising without getting anything is just so bad and hardly useful. You don't really get to learn anything this way.
But i know where Hye Jin is coming from: In Korea's culture this thinking is basically an idealistic one. Parents don't care at all about their kids learning they just want them to be the best. Best scores and best college and best work. I found this quite sad.
So, both episodes were wonderful in showing us the developing of this fight between them. She was already doubting her ways of teaching, she was tired of it but she wasn't brave enough to challenge all the sistem in place. Jun Ho can do it because he is knew to this and it is his decision if he crash or wins. There is no reputation to save for him.
I think it was liberating for Hye Jin to be able to say to both of her nemesis: "Do what you want with my work, doesn't matter anymore".
Still, Jun Ho needs to listen to her more and understand where she is coming from: He can't undermine her 10 years of successful work just because it doesn't align with his thinking.
So i think for a happy end we need Jun Ho, Hye Jin and Pyo to make an academy together and get all the students lol.
P.S: When they are discussing the matter at the bar and Jun Ho said that his idea will get them to eternal love and all of them laugh LOL. I don't know how Hye Jin didn't laugh with them, good actress indeed.
I feel there is a time skip between episode 1 and 2 since they look pretty comfortable together on that beach. I also really like they conversation they have at dinner, how Mahasamut explain that he was on his own since very little and how he notice there was something not quite ok in Tongrak. Seems he doesn't believe in love because men around him keep abandon their partners (His father with his mother and then his friend's boyfriend when she got pregnant). So now will see Mahasamut trying to break his emotional shield. Cuties β₯β₯β₯
The girls couple seems promising, i was getting a little annoyed with Vi asking of those task of Prin but the kiss was cute.
PS: Iqiyi fucked up the subtitles when there is text messages and it was hard to understand the convo with Khom but i think i got the gist of it (Tong doesn't have problems with his work but more personal problems).
So we got Joe telling Sol that "My feelings for Ming died with my old body" and, second later, boom he is sleeping with Ming. Joe please stop deluding yourself you're still head over hills for him.
Tong was just on this ep not even one minute and he was trash. Seriously is starting to become an art for him being this awful. Btw, it seems that Ming's public breakdown was pretty much ignored by all the crew. I guess that is the advantage of having money πππ
That end... i guess the next episode is going to be pretty intense with Ming already know about Joe (Even when he keeps denying it to him it is more that obvious) and finding the body. I can't wait!
For the first one i got to say i really like the bed scene. It was, again, pretty realistic. The first time you sleep with someone is the moment to get to know each other and how you fit together. They hug and kissed and talked and it was wonderful, specially as a first time for Hye Jin.
But, we got the first fight between them in the second one: I got to say, Hye Jin is an intense character. I was really struggling to understand why she was so upset about everything that happened to Pyo and so mad at Jun Ho for it but i finally got it. No one said to her before directly that the things she done are for her benefit without thinking about how she hurt others. We as humans sometimes are like that, we let our ambition to win the moral battle.
So Hye Jin got face to face to that and Jun Ho didn't understand her because he doesn't listen (Sometimes with him this is a problem. He tends to believe he knows everything and, at points, we need to shut up and listen to the other person).
Again, the reconciliation was pretty well done and realistic: Jun Ho apologize and Hye Jin tried to explain herself better. For the preview seems things are going to be a little rough with them in future eps but i love them and i can't wait to watch β₯β₯β₯
We knew Pyo was going to be a problem the first time he appeared on screen so will see what happened now that he is competing with Hye Jin. tbh i found ridiculous this guy left a tenure position at school to be an academic just because a girl humilliated him (This is what it looks like) but well will see how everything develops.
I'm not sure if the girls are going to be a couple too but i will love that, will be my first GL on dramas so that is interesting π₯°π₯°π₯°.
Also Da Hae's mother suddenly being good was lost on me. It didn't make any sense whatsoever tbh and i didn't like it.
But, in general, episode 11 was sooo great. Dong Hee flying to save Grace was something i throught could happen and that sisterhood moment between the three of them against Ji Han was wonderful. I even cry a little.
I loved too the scenes between Dong Hee and Gwi Joo and him remembering that happy moment with his sister (How cute they were β₯β₯β₯). Gwi Joo telling her that the fact she can't fly was, not because of her weight, but because she was not happy, is completely on point and super important for Dong Hee to recover her power completely.
Da Hae was also a healing presence in this episode specially for Man Heum and Soon Gu. Man Heum finally understood that her powers can be read in diferent ways and what is important is what we do with what we know. She also makes Soon Gu feel seen after years of being ignored as the one without powers.
And the best part was both families going to support I Na. Seriously, even the uncle with the headband lol.
About Gwi Jo and Do Hae, really they're such a natural couple. all those little kisses. One of my favorite couples for sure.
So really it makes me sad because i was pretty sure this was going to be a 9 or even 9,5 for me but that end... they lost me with that a little but i will recommend this one to anyone because i actually think is super worth it and one of my favorites of 2024.
Tbh i like to see Tong desesperately asking Ming for money and Ming ignoring him in favor of looking at joe. I really can't stand Tong at all. What a waste of space.
Ming in this episode... well he seems to be showing some kind of remorse of what happened but still don't seems to know how to really express his feelings so he lash out on Joe. He keeps following the same pattern and i think, the moment he knows Joe is actually his Joe, he maybe start to change. But will see what happen after his revelation in this ep.
What is undenaible is the chemistry between them is hotter than hell π₯π₯π₯
I love the scenes between Joe and the mother they're so cute and endearing to watch β₯β₯β₯.
Sol video was a little cringe for my taste tbh lol.
I will looove if they don't break up and the problems that will arise because of their relationship are fixed with them together but i feel that is wishful thinking of my part.
Hye Jin is a character portrayed in a very realistic way i specially love the conversation with her friend, that talk about the guys we like and what not also with getting drunk included is something, i think, mostly all of us did at some point. I also like that in this talk she recognize that she also like him from before, that it wasn't one sided. You know, i was having a weird time with the kisses like "why is she so akward?" and after i realize that the actress did it on purpose because Hye Jin is akward and out of deep in romatic matters. Is so well done buy Jung Ryeo Won.
I understand too why she avoid him at first: It is not just that it is hard for her but also them dating can open a very big can of worms that will affect their work enviroment. Still, she can't really resist him so dating in secret it is πππ
about Jun Ho, well, he is very horny lol. that scene when he helped her to her house and end up on the sofa "I wasn't an animal, i was a gentleman" π€£π€£π€£. I like how he is completely different in his approach, he just knows he wants her and it is his moment to give his all. Both are opposite side of the same coin and i really love how everything is evolving between them π₯°π₯°π₯°
I was a little scared when Cheong Mi decide to take Hye Jin's class when she was sick, it looked helpful but i feel it was an opportunity for Jun Ho that he should have taken. idk if Cheong Mi will be good or not in future episodes but in this ep i feel that she was trying to one up Jun Ho (I like that he is head over heels for Hye Jin but sometimes we need to focus and this was one of those times. I think he fail here).
