Also if she had just told Sun Jae her plan in the first place it would have gone off without a hitch.
i hope they change their fate this time by teaming up after im sol tells seon jae whats going on with the murderer
I also think that ML not being there for his daughter is because of guilt. He blames himself 100% for the fact she lost her mother and I don't think he could deal with it at first and was too lost in his own grief. And then just like in real life he spiraled, and before he knew it years had passed with him in the same state. There are no excuses, but situations like this are real, grief and guilt can be toxic and deadly.
As for the mother, we don't really know exactly how her power of the future works, or what exactly she saw. Maybe this scene needed to happen without interference for something else good to happen later, and she knew not to stop it. I mean this scene is a turning point with the FL confessing and being honest, and because it was her decision to come clean, rather than someone else revealing her lies, it seems more likely that this could lead to her being realistically forgiven and the romance to resume later on. This is the start of her character growth arc.
I think the writers are doing quite a good job at letting these story lines, characters and scenes play out, just like how in real life things and people are messy and never wrapped perfectly in a bow the way things and characters are written in many other dramas. For me, personally, this drama is a breath of fresh air.
At least - that's how I viewed it, lol. π
Other than this arc in the drama with her suddenly being way over the top hateful because of her misinterpretation of her sister's feelings from a journal. I would say she's quite savvy. I love how she is all about business and she's not afraid to be bold and put people their place. She handles it all in a way that's protective of her sister's career as well. She's not just out here doing whatever after being immersed into this situation. She's quite perceptive and she's living her sister's life while still be attentive to her own studies and career.
I feel the same about the ML. I love how after he learned the truth about her identity he didn't try to manipulate her into telling him the truth. Instead of being mean to her, he used some common sense and concluded that she must had her reasons so he waited her out even when she was being unnecessarily harsh. He plays no games either with that uncle. Like he's not so involved with her that he's neglecting his role of CEO/chairman. They both are pretty smart characters.
Their chemistry is ridiculous. There are a lot of things I could complain about but overall I believe they balance each other out well. They're both smart characters.
2. The scammers strike me as Robin Hood and his Merry Outlaws. They steal from the rich and give to the poor (themselves). They haven't physically hurt anyone. Even scary uncle hasn't hurt anyone and has pretended to be beat up by Gwi-Joo.
3. It seems to me like both of the FL's marriages were also scams set up by Scammer Mom to make money for FL to pay back her father's debts. FL told each man the same story, "You look like the man who saved me when I was younger." But they are all crap men, and she took them for money in the divorces. I suspect this is where the "acting" comes in. FL is practiced in the "You look like the man," "Marry me, " "Divorce, and you owe me alimony out the wazoo." Again, steal from the mean rich to give to the poor me.
4. Gwi-Joo may actually be the man who really saved her. However, I think the "I was in the high school fire" is a lie created by Scammer Mom. I suspect that if Gwi-Joo slows down when running to the High School, he may find that a different house is on fire, and that it has a colored door, and that FL is behind it.
5. Every time someone says Do Da-Hae, I keep hearing Song Kang say Do Do-Hee from My Demon.
6. Teenage boy is getting tall and even more handsome. He will forever be Ki-Ho to me.
7. I-Na is my favorite character. I can't wait for her to blossom in confidence.
8. I think FL has a superpower that she is not aware of. How else is she changing the Bok family's superpowers so that those superpowers only concerns FL?
9. I am also terrified of gas grills and stoves. I act just like FL when trying to turn on or off a gas stove. I was once in a house where the gas heater caught fire while I was sleeping. Very traumatizing.
10. I see Flying Sister and Scammer Sister becoming besties. The marriage is off, so there's no more reason for Scammer Sister to torment Flying Sister, but to help her become healthier and more independent. Although Flying Sister seems to be able to do this on her own.
11. UPDATE: I went back and rewatched episodes 3 & 4. I think at some point, Gwi-Joo needs to make himself go back to Do Da-Hae on the 5th floor near the storage closet. Then he'll be right next to the colored door that will save Do Da-Hae, and he won't have to run for 10 minutes straight to get there late.
Loved their adult versions thoughπ
Lol yeah, it was the sheer amount of condoms that mostly freaked them out- adding Basic Insticts to the mix didn't help either π π π
Her not including him in major decisions about his life is manipulative and kind of a betrayal, and she's been doing it over and over. He deserves to be the one to make decisions about his life--informed decisions. Her keeping information from him is kinda cruel actually, especially because she keeps putting him into danger because she doesn't actually think through any decisions before acting out of pure emotion.
She's crazy reckless with his feelings, well being, and even life at this point. So I find her selflessness kinda shallow tbh.
This writer seems to have one and only one go to for conflict between them and keeps going back to it over and over. I don't even mind having the serial killer keep showing up, but can we find some other way to put them in danger than Sol being Queen of Noble Idiots for the 100th time? It's maddening.
